Apple localizes currencies in Egypt, Nigeria, Tanzania, six other countries’ App Stores

If you’ve been using an iPhone or iPad in countries other than the United States and have had to pull out the conversion rate chart for App Store pricing, well, to be honest, you likely wouldn’t be reading this article in English. • Kazakhstan
  • Malaysia
  • Nigeria
  • Pakistan
  • Philippines
  • Qatar
  • Tanzania
  • Vietnam

While iOS’s share of the global mobile market has been entrenched well behind Android’s, Apple has made slight progress over time in select areas. The company may find that serving these countries in such a small, but important way by setting price tiers in Pounds, Ringgits or Pesos could clear consumer confusion up.

MacRumors reports that in-app subscriptions and whole-app subscriptions will not be interrupted as the price conversion takes place.
