We have a new sales event from Best Buy, as well as more deals from Amazon

Starting off with the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro which is $200 off for certain models like the 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD variant, leaving it at $1799. The last 15.4in MacBook Pro is up to $1050 off, leaving the Intel Core i9, 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD for $3099. Best Buy also has deals on MacBook Airs and more. Moving on to Amazon, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is $130 off for the Black variant, leaving it at $320 shipped. We also have deals on Marshall’s and Beats headphones and more.

Take a look at these hands-on images of the HTC Desire 20 Pro

We’ve been getting a lot of leaks for HTC’s upcoming device and now we have some hands-on pictures from Mr. Evan Blass. These pictures match the previous schematics we had as well as the teaser the company posted earlier this week. It shows an interesting color variant, kind of like the ones on the HTC U12 but this one is a tone of gray instead of blue. We see the triple camera array at the back as well as the physical fingerprint scanner. The leaked specs for this phone include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, 6GB of RAM and this will be HTC’s first phone running Android 10 out of the box.

It seems that a new Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite is on the way

Back at CES, Samsung revealed their new Lite variants for the Note 10 and the S10. According to a new SamMobile report, the S20 will be getting the same treatment. The Galaxy S20 Lite is apparently under development with the model numbers SM-G780 and SM-G781 for the US and Global variants. The global variant will apparently lack 5G capabilities but the US variant will support 5G. It’s also expected to bring at least 128GB of storage and it will run Android 10 with One UI 2.5.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will come with a flat screen

We have a new tweet from Ice Universe that shows off some cases for the Galaxy Note 20. Both of these are for the regular Note 20 and not for the Note 20 Plus and they show off that flat display that we’re expecting which was confirmed by Ice Universe a couple of days ago. In the Weibo post, he also claims that the Note 20 will enter mass production very soon.

Apple may give us a 12-inch MacBook with an Arm-based processor

Apple will reportedly announce at WWDC that they will be moving on from Intel chips to ARM-based Macs. We have a new leak from Twitter which we should take with a grain of salt, but it actually makes sense. On the Reddit post, Fudge said that based on tidbits from supply chain sources and reports, Apple might bring back the 12-inch MacBook to be the first model with these ARM chips. He details the road Apple has gone through to, to get to these ARM processors, starting back in 2014 by adding the T1 and T2 security chips. This launch with the new MacBook would start a new phase in this project which is basically Project Catalyst which allows Mac apps to work on the iPad. According to the post they are still working on perfecting the Infamous Butterfly Keyboard for it to be on this new model. It would bring the same design from the MacBook and the processor would be of 8-12 cores. Apple is reportedly making three tiers of A14X chips and we expect this rumored Mac to bring the lower tier. The Reddit post is actually a great read (we’ll link it down below) and it goes along with my speculation yesterday on Apple bringing this MacBook back to get started with the ARM processors.

Story of the day:

BOE is allegedly having quality issues with iPhone 12 OLED displays

Yesterday we covered how BOE had failed Samsung’s first round of testing for Galaxy S21 display. Now, a new report from this morning claims that they failed Apple’s as well. This report mentions that they will be submitting new batches to both companies and it is not clear whether these are an initial test run or the actual stock that was planned to be on the iPhone 12. Cupertino is expecting 45M panels from BOE and it’s not clear if it will be affected from the pandemic, besides the quality issues. Due to that we don’t know if Apple will remain with BOE after the new batch they submit but if not, they might go to Samsung or LG which was moved to their third supplier for these BOE displays. Take a look at these hands-on images of the HTC Desire 20 Pro

We are waiting for the official launch of the HTC Desire 20 Pro, which is scheduled for June 16, but Evan Blass has recently posted some images that show us the device in real life.

We get the first real-life images of the HTC Desire 20 Pro thanks to Evan Blass. We get to see the front and back panel of the device, which matches some of the features leaked in previous schematics. We see that there are four rear cameras and a centered fingerprint sensor.

This device is also supposed to include a 6.5-inch LCD display, 6GB RAM, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 or 665 processor. This would also be HTC’s first device to launch with Android 10.

HTC may finally deliver a device with Android 10 with the HTC Desire 20 Pro

Does anyone remember HTC? Well, earlier this year we heard that the company was under new leadership and we were expecting them to get back to their roots and launch some sort of flagship. An HTC Desire 20 Pro just popped up on Google Play support and now we get some of the specs. It’ll apparently be powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC, 6GB of RAM and will run Android 10 out of the box. We got schematics for the design of this phone back in April, and now it was also certified by the NCC so we should see it some time soon. Thing is, fine that you wanna use the roots thing to bring a classic name like Desire, but where are the flagship elements in those roots HTC?

There is now a video of the upcoming Google Android TV streaming device

Yesterday we got some images of Google’s new dongle for Android TV which is codenamed Sabrina. Our friends over at XDA now have a recovered video that shows the device and the UI. The device will apparently be announced along with the Pixel 4a and it will allow you to Cast from your devices and control it with a separate remote that also allows for voice controls. It’s not exactly a Chromecast and it will work more like an Apple TV where it has it’s separate UI that you can control with the remote without the need to cast to it from your phone. It will also bring some features from their Smart Speakers like letting you answer your door from it or ask it different questions, we should be hearing more about it in the next few weeks.

Apple may be working on services bundle

Apple is apparently working on a bundle for their different services. 9to5Mac just found new files in the iOS 13.5.5 code that reference a “bundle offer” and a “bundle subscription”. The files are said to be related to the “management system of Apple’s own services subscriptions like Apple News+.” We’ve heard rumors of this since 2018 and it looks like it might happen, merging Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple News+ into the same bundle offering. If you combine the current prices of these services it amounts to $25 so we hope it’ll be somewhere around the $15 mark.

The Moto Razr 2 could arrive with larger displays

Recently we heard that Motorola was working on a successor for last year’s Moto RAZR and it looks like things are on track for that September launch. According to the Display Supply Chain Consultant’s CEO, both of the RAZR’s displays will be growing in size. He didn’t specify on the outer display but apparently the main display will adopt the same size from the Galaxy Z Flip, meaning a 6.7in display which is half an inch larger than the current RAZR. Other leaked specs include the Snapdragon 765G, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, Android 10 out of the box and a 48MP main camera.

Story of the day:

Apple could give us iPhones with low-power LTPO OLED displays in 2021

iPhone 13 prototype shows an under-screen camera, in-display Touch ID and a USB-C port

And finally the hottest news today have to do with iPhone, but we’re not exactly sure which one. If you remember last week we talked about lightning sticking around for another year because the next iPhone is going portless. Yeah hold on to that. Let me summarize it. Back on Monday we got some dummy units for the iPhone 12 which looked kinda sketchy since they’re pretty much a showcase of footprint and that’s it. Now we have some iPhone 13 dummies from the same source. We know that Apple is notorious for prototyping and we recently got some leaks that hinted to a port-less iPhone. These new leaks don’t follow on that and we should take this with a considerable amount of salt considering the timeline but, these do show a notch-less iPhone coming, which also brings a USB C port and a weird camera array that doesn’t really tell us anything about the cameras. Speaking of this notch-less display, a new DigiTimes report claims that Apple’s supply chain partners are developing OLED displays using LTPO backplane technology for the 2021 iPhones. LTPO is the technology that allows for a more power efficient display, paving the way for better battery life and that ProMotion display that we’re expecting for the upcoming iPhones. Most of the leaks we’ve covered from reliable sources hint to the 2020 iPhones bringing ProMotion features, but other sources claim that LTPO is essential for that and we might get it until 2021. I know, it’s all a mess..

HTC may finally deliver a device with Android 10 with the HTC Desire 20 Pro

It seems that HTC is not giving up on its smartphone business. We may soon get a new device with Android 10, as the HTC Desire 20 Pro has appeared in the Google Play Support console.

The latest leak of the HTC Desire 20 Pro reveals the most important details of the device. We see that this new mid-ranger will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and 6GB RAM, and yes, this will be the company’s first smartphone with Android 10. We would also get a 6.5-inch LCD with a 1080 x 2340px resolution. Now, we only have to see who actually gets this device.
