With a premium metal body, high-res screen, relatively thin bezels and large optional keyboard cover, the Huawei MediaPad M5 10 Pro looks like it could make a decent MWC 2018 impression.

Huawei schedules MWC 2018 event for February 25 to offer ‘a different perspective’

Huawei is almost surely planning to unveil the P20 phones in late March in Paris, but that doesn't mean the company will entirely skip this month's Mobile World Congress either.

Huawei MediaPad M3 launches stateside on Amazon at $299 with premium audio

Loud, sharp, relatively powerful and overall as ambitious as Android tablets can possibly come these days, the 8.4-inch Huawei MediaPad M3 isn’t even all that expensive stateside.

First unveiled back at IFA Berlin in early September, the Harman/Kardon-co-engineered multimedia beast finally goes on sale through Amazon today for a reasonable $299. Unfortunately, Huawei didn’t put this time to very good use, leaving the M3 on Marshmallow when it should have really launched with Nougat pre-installed.

Oh, well, you still get plenty of bang for your buck, including a premium audio experience that may soon be exclusive to Samsung devices. Also, the same in-house Kirin 950 processor found inside last year’s super-high-end Mate 8 phablet, paired with 4 plentiful gigs of RAM, 32GB expandable storage, and a decently spacious 5,100 mAh battery.

At 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, the 8.4-inch IPS LCD screen yields a stellar 359 ppi density for “exceptional” visual performance. Speaking of visuals, the Huawei MediaPad M3 is easy on the eye too, with a “lightweight aircraft aluminum body”, “stylish narrow bezel”, and 7.3mm wasp waist. Oh, and there’s fingerprint support, an 8MP camera on the slate’s rear, and another 8MP shooter on its face. All for three Benjamins.

Meanwhile, the 10.1-inch MediaPad M2 originally showcased way back in January is only arriving to the US sometime next month at an unspecified price. A little late for that, and we can’t think of a low enough tag to make the wait worth it.

Surprise, surprise, it sounds like a Huawei-made Nexus 7 successor is coming this year

Android tablets, both low-cost and “premium”, don’t seem to be going anywhere, and it’s been that way for several years now. It’s perhaps no coincidence Google also inexplicably stopped manufacturing 7-inch Nexuses back in 2013, focusing on larger, far less popular form factors. The 2014-released HTC-produced N9 was practically forgotten before 2013’s second-gen ...

Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro gets evleaked en route to MWC debut

Prolific Twitter tipster Evan Blass, best known by his @evleaks social media handle, strikes again in advance of MWC 2016’s start, although the dirt spilled on Huawei’s upcoming mid-range Android tablet is arguably less glamorous than all those exclusive Samsung Galaxy S7 renders. The MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro looks an awful lot like the MediaPad M2 10 introduced last month at CES in Las Vegas, minus a Harman Kardon logo and resulting premium sound, as well as ...
