Realme X50 Pro starts receiving Android 11 update with Realme UI 2.0

Realme X50 Pro was launched back in February in India. It started receiving Android 11 Beta 1 in June. Now, after five months, the latest Android update is rolling out for the smartphone in stable version. The Realme X50 Pro is receiving Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0, which Realme says is “created for a highly personalized UI experience.”

According to Realme, the new UI is based on “creativity, sociality, and productivity.” With Realme UI 2.0 on the Realme X50 Pro, users can choose notification bar colors, shortcut buttons, settings for interface icons, and other 23 interfaces. The new UI offers experiences that are claimed to enhance social media experiences. For example, the new subtitle stitching feature allows users to share movies and lines seamlessly, while Dual-mode music enables the sharing of tracks with friends.

As for security, the Realme UI 2.0 comes with Deepsea Privacy Plan and Security Shield that assures users’ data and information are safe and secure. As per the company, their new UI offers a 45% improvement in system resource utilization, resulting in a 32% increase in system speed and a 17% increase in frame rate stability over the previous generation. 

To recall, the Realme X50 Pro features a 6.44-inch (1080 × 2400 pixels) Full HD+ 20:9 Super AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 1000+nits brightness, HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 and 105% NTSC color gamut. There is Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with Adreno 650 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. There is a 64MP primary camera, which is accompanied by a 12MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It packs a 4,200mAh battery with 65W SuperDart fast charging.

Realme X50 Pro 5G price hiked by up to Rs 3,000 ahead of July 13 sale

Realme X50 Pro 5G was launched in India back in February. It went on sale the same day. After that, the pandemic happened and the supply chain was disrupted. However, the phone will be back soon as it will be going on sale on July 13. But there’s a catch. The company has increased its price by up to Rs 3,000.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 37,999 for the 6GB RAM +128GB storage variant. Now, the same variant will cost Rs 39,999. Further, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option was launched at Rs 39,999, which will now be sold for Rs 41,999. The top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model was launched at Rs 44,999 but it will now be sold for Rs 47,999.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G will go on sale on July 13 via realme.com and Flipkart.com from 12:00 noon onwards. It will be made available in two color options – Moss Green and Rust Red.

Realme X50 Pro 5G is the next phone to receive Android 11 Beta 1

Google released Android 11’s first public beta just a day ago, and as expected, it is exclusive to Google’s own smartphones. However, soon after, OPPO and OnePlus confirmed that the Android 11 beta 1 is coming to the Find X2 series and OnePlus 8 series respectively.

Now, Realme has announced that it will be releasing the Android 11 beta 1 for its Realme X50 Pro 5G. The company has confirmed that it will rollout the update in early July.

Further, Realme added that due to the production disruption because of the lockdown, there was a shortage in the supply of Realme X50 Pro 5G. However, the company will soon be resuming its production and it will go on sale from July 9 onwards.
