The US wireless service provider wars are back on for the holidays, with T-Mobile and Sprint’s customers emerging as their true, big winners.
If the extended four-lines-for-the-price-of-two Magenta Friday deal failed to sell you on the UnCarrier’s controversial ONE plan, The Now Network claims to have the “industry’s biggest, best Black Friday offer”, as well as the “boldest offer in wireless history”, in store now.
This not just lets you save a boatload of cash on a third, fourth and fifth Unlimited Freedom line, but outright gives away unlimited data, talk and text for free to three members of a family of five. Until January 31, 2018, that is, and only if you act quickly. No, not that quickly. You have until December 1 to decide if you can do better.
Spoiler alert – you can’t, as Sprint’s heavily discounted bill will total $100 a month for two, three, four or five lines, while a single unlimited everything account, also including 5GB mobile hotspot data, still costs $60.
“Compared to the competition, Sprint could literally save wireless customers hundreds of dollars a month”, says its chief marketing officer, Roger Solé, and for once, that doesn’t appear to be just carefully concocted advertising propaganda. It’s an undoubtedly sweet promo, joining a Galaxy S7 BOGO program, Tab E freebie, half-price HTC Bolt deal, LG phone/TV bundles, and accessory markdowns for Black Friday.
