What products in Motorola’s pipeline may still see the light of day?

Word of Lenovo’s Motorola deal is still so very new that we’re not quite used to thinking about Motorola as something other than a Google company – even if that role itself is also comparatively new. Despite the recent changes, we’ve already found ourselves talking about what might be next for Motorola, including the idea that the company might end up producing a Nexus device (and

When do you put your tech to bed?

The quality of my sleep has drastically declined over the years, as well as the amount I get each night. On a rare great night, I might get six hours of sleep. If it’s the weekend, I may get eight. But an average night of sleep is five hours or less. Sometimes much less. It’s a safe bet to assume the seemingly harmless smartphone in my pocket or tablet in my bag play a major part in this. Oh, and that incessantly buzzing smartwatch that rattles off the table every night … it plays a part, ...

My dream for the OnePlus One CyanogenMod phone

CyanogenMod has long been one of the leading names in the custom ROM community. Only recently did the group go “corporate” when they formed Cyanogen, Inc. Before that, CyanogenMod was available as a flashable ROM for devices from virtually all manufacturers, and brought unofficial updates and current versions of Android to devices that had been abandoned by carriers and OEMs alike. However, CyanogenMod was limited primarily as a second-class-citizen, since devices came with their own ROM pre-installed, which would then be replaced by a custom CyanogenMod ROM. What we needed was ...

Acer wearables to arrive this year, ASUS smartwatch in the works

Pebble, Samsung, and Sony, to name a few, already have a jump-start in the wearables sector, specifically in the smartwatch business, but there are still key players that are yet to join the fight. We certainly aim to play a role in the new market“, ...

HTC Desire 310 coming at MWC? Phone accidentally leaked on manufacturer’s page

HTC’s European website featured a new phone complete with images and specs, until it was taken down. We understand that it was an accidental leak where someone jumped the gun, but we can’t help but wonder whether this phone will be unveiled at MWC, as the first major upcoming show. The M8 is also expected sometime this quarter, but just in case we won’t see the One follow-up in Barcelona, some other phone(s) could make an appearance. The Desire 310, in black and white, is no powerhouse; it features a a 4.5 inch screen with 480 x 854 resolution, a 1.3 GHz quad-core ...
