Wealth of inside information on Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro, C7 Pro and C9 Pro surfaces online

Samsung might be trying hard, and so far succeeding, in hindering substantial, believable, evidence-supported Galaxy S8 leaks, but when it comes to lower-end products, the chaebol probably doesn’t care as much.

Otherwise, we wouldn’t already know everything about the unreleased Galaxy C7 Pro and C5 Pro. And we do mean everything. The “professional” derivation of the 5.7-inch C7 launched last summer exclusively in China has been approved by Tenaa a while back, now further showing off its premium metallic body in a slew of hands-on pics.

This is of course virtually identical to the original C7 on the outside, whereas under the hood, it’s tipped to jump to an octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor. Full HD-capable, 4GB RAM-packing, and alas, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-running out the box, the C7 Pro will also upgrade the front camera to an impressive 16 megapixels, likely costing the rough equivalent of $405 in China with 64GB internal storage.

What’s truly remarkable is the humbler Galaxy C5 Pro should adopt a 16MP selfie shooter too, not to mention the same stunning aluminum unibody build, a sizable 3,000mAh battery, and decently sharp 5.5-inch 1080p display.

Last but not least, the crazy gifted 6GB RAM “mid-range” Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, which has already made its commercial debut, is now setting the stage for a grand Asian tour, looking to expand across markets like India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Still no Korea? No Europe? No US? That’s just sad.

Tenaa certification reveals Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro front camera and battery upgrades

Samsung is apparently looking to outdo itself when it comes to mid-range smartphone confusion choice, prepping a Galaxy C7 Pro that’s awfully similar to the standard C7, skipping the C9 to jump straight to the C9 Pro, and now also working on an eerily familiar Galaxy C5 Pro, aka SM-C5010.

Approved by China’s FCC equivalent for a no doubt fast-approaching local launch, the 5.2-inch C5 Pro is a near-duplicate of the original Galaxy C5, model number SM-C5000, in terms of exterior design. But under the hood, you’ll find a souped-up 3,000mAh battery (compared to the C5’s 2,600mAh cell), leading to a small increase in device thickness.

Still, this purported C5 Pro is relatively lightweight, at 143 grams, and slender (6.95mm), with premium metal all over, a plentiful 4GB RAM in tow, as well as Android 6.0 Marshmallow (bummer!), expandable 64GB internal storage, Full HD AMOLED screen resolution, and a 16MP rear-facing camera.

Much like the C9 Pro, the non-flagship phone will cater to selfie addicts with a very impressive 16-megapixel front shooter too, possibly wrapping up its decent list of upgrades by taking a Snapdragon 626 processor in to replace the SD617. Let’s just hope pricing won’t go through the roof.

Galaxy C7 Pro benchmarks look a lot like the Galaxy C7

The Galaxy C-series may be getting another member shortly and that member appears to be the next step up to the Galaxy C7 — just like there was that step up from the Galaxy C9. But where that step takes us, we aren’t sure.

What we believe to know from the Geekbench results we’ve found is that the SM-C7010 — a slight improvement upon the SM-C7000 name that the Galaxy C7 took on — has the same Snapdragon 625 chipset that its supposed predecessor had. We still find 4GB of RAM here.

There are also some decent scores: single core tests end up pulling near 1,000 points while multi-core results log in in the mid-5,000s. All in all, those represent a 10 percent average improvement from SM-C7000 test results.

The Android 6.0.1 phone was recently spotted on Indian import-export database Zauba. A lot of four averaged out to a unit cost of about $199. That said, the Galaxy C7 (pictured above) ended up costing the equivalent of $400 in China when it launched in late May, so we’ll have to see how much more consumers need to pay and exactly what for.

Samsung Galaxy C9 likely billed as China’s ‘next big thing’, 4000 mAh battery and all

What if you don’t need to wait five more months for Samsung’s first big Galaxy Note 7 redemption effort? While it’s still unlikely the purportedly trailblazing Galaxy S8 can be ready for primetime earlier than March, a “mid-range” C9 is almost certainly mere weeks away. Maybe days. At least in China.Similar to the

How much higher can it go? Mystery ‘mid-end’ Samsung Galaxy C9 reportedly incoming

Samsung is basically doing the opposite of a limbo dance, raising the mid-range Android smartphone specification bar step by step until eventually the entire Galaxy lineup will be one big, happy flagship family. No one really wants that, of course, and J2 sales numbers prove there’s quite a large global audience for entry-level, super-affordable Samsung handhelds, despite other brands technically offering superior quality-pricing ratios in the sub-$200 space. The same probably goes for the ...

Galaxy C5 pricing rumors take it higher, Galaxy C7 way higher

The hierarchy of Samsung’s smartphone ranges isn’t exactly clear. Of course, there’s the Galaxy S series that gets center stage attention, followed by the nearly-flagship A-series. Somewhere down below are the Galaxy Ons and the bottom, as far as we can tell, is the

New Samsung Galaxy C7 benchmark appears to confirm upper-mid-range specs

It’s the tide of progress: what once was state-of-the-art is now ho-hum; what was once premium is now mid-range, or dare we say, entry-level? That’s almost unarguably a good thing, as today’s most affordable phones emerge capable of running circles around the top-shelf models of yesteryear. Lately we’ve been checking out evidence for the new mid-range Galaxy C lineup from Samsung, primarily as revealed through benchmark publications.

Samsung gets ready to redefine mid-range phone standards… again, with 4GB RAM Galaxy C7

Remember when 4GB RAM was widely considered overkill for even the highest-end Android smartphones? Some of you may still strongly believe that, despite several major OEMs exploring a move to 6 gigs in the very near future.Meanwhile, Samsung’s been blurring the lines between mid-range and premium niches for quite some time, particularly with the metal-and-glass but
