Sprint Android KitKat plans for Samsung devices revealed

As the leak suggested last month, owners of a Samsung Galaxy S 4 on Sprint’s network were able to install the latest official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on their phones starting February 13. Additionally, Note 3 owners on the Now Network joined the KitKat party on February 20, but now the carrier is publishing further details regarding Samsung phones and the 4.4.2 refresh. If you have a Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S 4 mini, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Mega, or a Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, you shouldn’t ...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite specs start showing up, but they don’t make a lot of sense

Samsung already has a pretty diverse tablet lineup, but last week we heard that it might be planning to differentiate its offerings even more, with the introduction of a new Lite version of its Galaxy Tab family. The rumor suggested that a Galaxy Tab 3 Lite could arrive in just about a month from now, but we struggled to put our finger on just how Samsung might make this tablet “Lite” – that is, the existing Galaxy Tab 3 models weren’t exactly high-end to begin with. Well, today we start getting our answers ...

Samsung launches child-friendly Galaxy Tab 3 Kids

It feels like any time we’re talking about some great deal on a tablet that may be one of last year’s models, or is just straight-up underpowered compared to its peers, we offer the advice that such a purchase would make a good backup tablet or one to give to the kids – cheap enough that you wouldn’t be too upset should the worst happen to it. Aside from the classic colors, Samsung is apparently preparing a blue version too, allegedly pictured in the above press render. Since we’re seeing no ...

With a Nexus 7 out there, why would anyone buy a Galaxy Tab?

I know: that’s a bait-y headline that begs for qualifiers, and we’ll get to those in just a second. Before that, though, I’d like to apologize to those who’ve been waiting for our full review of the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. For those of you who’ve gotten lost in the avalanche of news since we took delivery on our own Tab 3 8.0 review unit, we unboxed the device a few weeks back – and then we immediately put it up against its closest Samsung-branded competitor, the ...

Samsung shares US Galaxy Tab 3 retail launch details

The Galaxy Tab 3 lineup is nothing new. Samsung announced the Tab 3 7.0 all the way back in April, and followed that up with news of the Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1 three weeks ago. So, while the cat may be out of the bag concerning any hardware details, Samsung had yet to confirm details about just when we’d be able to get our hands on these tablets, and for how much. It helps us out ...
