HONOR 9A, HONOR 9S entry-level phones launched in India

HONOR has launched two entry-level smartphones in India – the HONOR 9A and HONOR 9S. The HONOR 9A features a 6.3-inch HD+ display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. You get three cameras at the back, with the main snapper using a 13MP sensor, accompanied by a 5MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

It sports an 8MP camera on the front, and a large 5,000mAh battery keeps the lights on. It costs Rs 9999 and will be available from Amazon.in starting from August 6. For the first sale it will be available for Rs 8999.

HONOR 9S

On the other hand, the HONOR 9S features a 5.45-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) 18:9 HD+ display. It is powered by the same MediaTek P22 SoC. It packs a 3,020mAh battery and 2GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB. It costs Rs 6499 and will be available from Flipkart starting from August. For the first sale it will be available for Rs. 5999.

HONOR 9A, 9S, MagicBook 15 launching in India today: Watch the livestream here

HONOR will be launching three devices in India today. The HONOR 9A, HONOR 9S smartphones and HONOR MagicBook 15 are all set to be announced at the event. The launch will be streamed live at 2 PM through HONOR India’s Facebook account and YouTube channel. You can also watch it below.

The HONOR MagicBook 15 comes with a compact, thin and lightweight design. It features a 15.6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with TÜV Rheinland Certification. The laptop is powered by AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Mobile Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics. It packs 8GB DDR4 RAM with 256GB/512GB PCIe NVME SSD storage.

Moreover, the HONOR 9A has already been listed on Amazon India website for Rs 11,999 (~$160). The price is for the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It is unclear whether the pricing is correct as the product is yet to go official. However, we expect the launch price to be lower.

HONOR 9A, HONOR 9S to be launched in India soon

HONOR has announced that it will be launching the company’s most affordable smartphones in India – HONOR 9A and HONOR 9S. The duo will come with Magic UI 3.1, which is based on Android 10. Both the smartphones will come pre-installed with AppGallery. The HONOR 9A will be available for sale on Amazon, whereas HONOR 9S will be sold via Flipkart in India.

Meanwhile, Amazon has confirmed that the HONOR 9A will be launching on July 31. It features a 6.3-inch (1600 × 720 pixels) HD+ 20:9 display. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. It is said to come equipped with 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 512GB with microSD card.

It will sport a triple rear camera setup: 13MP camera with f/1.8 aperture + 5MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture + 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front will lie an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Further, it packs a 5,000mAh battery.
