We have new images of the Samsung Galaxy S21 or the Galaxy S21+

We are getting new images confirming the design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21. However, we can’t really tell if this is the vanilla Galaxy S21 or the Galaxy S21+, as both devices are expected to feature flat displays.

New case renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S21+ have surfaced. The images show us new cases that will keep Samsung’s new flagship safe from possible falls and scratches. Now, there’s no clue as to which model we’re looking at in these images since the two non-Ultra models will arrive with flat OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates and 1080p+ resolution. The main difference between these displays will be their sizes, as the normal Galaxy S21 will feature a 6.2-inch display, while the Samsung Galaxy S21+ will come with a 6.7-inch display.

The new design of the Samsung Galaxy S21 could’ve made case designer’s job a bit more complicated. They now have to think of ways to keep the upcoming device safe while delivering an aesthetically pleasing product. However, the new camera bump is something somewhat different from others we have seen before.

Anyways, this new device will arrive with a triple camera setup that’s expected to include a 64MP zoom camera, a 12MP main sensor, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Rumors also suggest that this new lineup may arrive on January 14, and some leaks suggest that it may just be possible, as Samsung is already starting to get the necessary permissions and certifications to launch its Samsung Galaxy S21 series earlier than in other years.

You can take a look at more leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, the Ultra variant, to be more specific. While you’re at it, you may also want to see a huge leak that mentions the most important specs of the upcoming devices that will come, as always, with a Snapdragon and an Exynos variant.

Exynos 2100 may surpass the SD 875 in the Samsung Galaxy S21 series

We have been getting quite a bit of benchmark results in the last few days. Mainly because of the tests performed on Apple’s latest M1 devices. However, it seems that those aren’t the only devices being tested. The Samsung Galaxy S21 may have already been examined with both its Snapdragon 875 and its Exynos 2100 variants, and it seems that next year, you may want to go for the international version.

This is not the first time that we see benchmark results for the Samsung Galaxy S21. The device was found delivering some interesting results back in September while being powered by the Exynos 1000 processor, even though it is said that it will feature the Exynos 2100 chipset. Back then, we saw that the device managed to deliver 1038 in its single-core score, while a 3060 multi-core score was reached.

Now, we receive the latest benchmarks of the Samsung Galaxy S21, but this time it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875, with 8GB RAM. The device reached 1120 single-core score and a 3319 multi-core score. These results would suggest that the Snapdragon 875 may be better than the Exynos 2100 processor, but it seems that things aren’t precisely as they seem. Let’s remember that the SD 875 codenamed Lahaina isn’t official yet, but neither is the Exynos 2100 processor, which gives both processors plenty of room to grow.

We have also received some info from Ice Universe, where he tells us not to pay attention to the results leaked by Geekbench, as these are not accurate before the release of the products, and we also have to pay attention to the real specs in the Samsung Galaxy S21 models. He believes that the new Exynos 2100 will be more powerful than its Snapdragon 875 counterpart, as both chipsets have identical CPU architecture, but the prime X1 core will reach 2.91 GHz in the Exynos 2100, while the Snapdragon 875 will top out at 2.84 GHz. We will also find differences in the power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores, which will reach 1.8GHz in the SD 875, compared to the 2.2GHz reached by the Exynos processor.

Case images confirm Samsung Galaxy S21 design, which could arrive with Galaxy Buds Plus

Case makers are usually the best source to get the leaked design of new smartphones. The latest leaks don’t necessarily show us the complete design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup, but at least it confirms some of the design changes we will get in the phone’s camera module. However, rumors don’t stop there, as it seems that Samsung could also decide stop including AKG headphones in the box of your new device, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

We could say that we already have a good idea of the design of Samsung’s new flagship. We have seen a couple of renders images and even a video showing us the phones in almost every angle. However, we had to take those leaks, as any other rumor with some salt, but now, well-known leaker @UniverseIce has posted some images that show us the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in protective cases.

These images confirm that the device will feature a redesigned camera module that will wrap around the side of the frame of these devices. We can also see that the camera module includes four sensors, even when other rumors suggested that we could get a fifth camera sensor that could end up being a ToF sensor.

Now, since we’re already talking about things we may or may not get with the new Samsung Galaxy S21. It seems that Samsung could’ve also decided that it was time to stop including wired AKG earphones in the box of its new flagship. Instead, the company would be including a new pair of “Samsung Galaxy Buds Beyond,” which are supposed to be the successors of the Galaxy Buds Plus.

Still, Samsung is still rumored to be planning on removing in-box power adapters, but we will have to wait until the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series which is rumored to happen in January, and recent NFC certifications make this easier to believe.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 has fixed Galaxy S20 focusing issues

It seems that the focusing issues in the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra could’ve been caused because the device’s 108MP camera lacks dual-pixel phase detect autofocus. Now, we’re not sure if Samsung has added dual-pixel PDAF or if it has found some other solution to this focusing issue, but the good news is that a fix is coming and that it won’t affect the camera in the Samsung Galaxy Note 20.

According to Ice Universe, Samsung has already fixed the focusing issues in the 108MP camera of the S20 Ultra, and these won’t affect the camera on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20. He also mentions that the new Note 20 will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset, as well as the Galaxy Tab S7, the Galaxy Fold 2, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. There’s also a rumor claiming that Samsung is also working on a Galaxy Note 20 with an Exynos 992 processor for some markets, even though some users believe they are inferior.
