Pocketnow Weekly 042: HTC One-and-a-Half, Galaxy S 4 Octa, & Super-Cheap Windows Phones (Podcast)

Not all of us have read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, so not all of us were exactly qualified to make the lame joke that kicks off this week’s podcast. But we made it, and we stand behind it. Because as hundreds of fifth-rate “manufacturers” well know, sometimes you just have to fake it. But we’re not talking about secondhand knockoff products in this episode of the Weekly. Rather, we get serious about octa-core comparisons, the till-recently-mythical HTC M4, the insanely cheap new Lumia out of Finland, and just how tired we are or aren’t of the ...

HTC M4 Leak Looks Like an HTC One Mini

We have heard a whole lot of claims about the HTC M4 over the past several months. Some of those suggested it would be a smaller version of the HTC One, with a metal body and all. Some said that the M4 would be more like an HTC First sans Facebook, with the same 4.3-inch 720p screen. Today a very believable-looking render of the phone has arrived alongside some updated specs and it sort of seems like everyone was right: we get ...

HTC M4: HTC First Minus Facebook?

Remember the HTC M4? We heard the codename leaked back in February, along with some hardware specs. Now that the HTC First is official, some similarities between it and the M4 start to become apparent; both handsets use 4.3-inch 720p displays, for instance. While not all of the specs quite match up between the two, a new rumor puts forth some tweaked specs for the M4 that line up with the First closely enough to get us wondering if the M4 might be ...
