OnePlus Nord N100 is one of the company’s most affordable smartphones available in the market right now. The device offers a 5,000mAh battery that is likely to last you all day long. It comes with a 6.52-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, paired with 4GB RAM, which offers a smooth experience. If you are one of those who bought the affordable OnePlus smartphone or are looking to get one, you might want to get a case along with it. After all, the smartphone isn’t built to be protected from accidental drops. Below, we have compiled a list of the best Oneplus Nord N100 cases available in the market right now.
Soft inner and hard outer layers absorb and deflect impacts, and opens access to ports and speakers (no port covers). Plus, the thin profile slips in and out of pockets.
The soft inner TPU can alleviate the impact, the outer hard PC leather paint is non-slip, sweat-proof, and the four-corner reinforced design can more effectively prevent falling and shock absorption protection.
Resilient shock absorption and carbon fiber design helps you protect your phone. It is a flexible TPU case with an interior spider-web pattern & raised lip to protect the screen.
Our top recommendation is the OtterBox Commuter LITE Series Case. It has soft inner and hard outer layers that absorb and deflect impacts and comes with open access to ports and speakers. The thin profile slips in and out of pockets. It includes OtterBox’s limited lifetime warranty. The Commuter Series Lite keeps your phone safe from daily drops and bumps. It is likely the best Oneplus Nord N100 case on the list.
If you are on a budget, we recommend the Osophter Oneplus Nord N100 case. It can stand itself, thanks to the built-in kickstand at the back for horizontal viewing that enables a hands-free watching experience when streaming. The case includes a soft TPU and hard shell frame for drop and scratch protection. It offers extreme protection from daily use, falls, bumps and scratches, and resistant to tear and dust accumulation. Moreover, it costs under $8! This is the one to go for if you are looking for an affordable OnePlus Nord N100 case.

OnePlus Nord N100 was released as a budget offering last month. Now, it is receiving a new OxygenOS update that brings various system improvements. The update is available as OxygenOS 10.5.5 in Europe and OxygenOS 10.5.4 in North America. It also brings the latest Android security patch. Like the other updates, this one is rolling out for OnePlus Nord N100 users in batches as well.
The company took to its forum to post the changelog of the OxygenOS update for the OnePlus Nord N100. It highlights that the update optimizes system power consumption. It also adds a button to the quick settings that let users switch between silent, ringing, and vibration modes. The smartphone is also receiving an improved user experience for the camera app. Plus, it’s also getting improvements in the stability of communication functions as well as optimizations to compatibility with Bluetooth devices.
Coming to fixes, the OxygenOS update for OnePlus Nord N100 fixes an issue that makes the phone not wake up under certain circumstances. It also gets a fix for a low probability call noise issue. The OnePlus phone has also started receiving the December 2020 Android security patch. It is also receiving a Google Mobile Services package update to version 09.2020.
The latest OxygenOS update is rolling out gradually for OnePlus Nord N100 users. You can check its availability by going to Settings > System > System Update.

OnePlus unveiled a pair of budget Nord series smartphones – the N10 5G and the N100 – a few weeks ago. Out of the two, the OnePlus N100 was the cheaper phone with diluted specs, which included an HD+ punch-hole display, an entry-level Snapdragon 460 SoC, a rather large 5,000mAh battery, and a triple-lens camera setup highlighted by a 12MP primary camera. Pretty standard package for an affordable phone that costs £179. But OnePlus may have bundled a surprise with its latest budget that flew under the radar – a high refresh rate display.
The folks over at Android Authority discovered 90Hz display refresh rate settings on their retail unit of the OnePlus Nord N100. Earlier, it was assumed that the device shipped with a regular 60Hz refresh rate, while carrying a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and measuring 6.52-inch diagonally. When OnePlus was asked about the presence of a high refresh rate panel on its latest budget phone, the company responded that the OnePlus Nord N100 indeed ships with a 90Hz display.
“The N100 is equipped with a 90Hz display. Actual refresh rate depends on settings, applications used, and processing limitations,” OnePlus was quoted as saying by Android Authority. However, it is unclear whether OnePlus actually forgot to mention it in the marketing campaign, or if the company simply had a change of mind at a later stage.
As of now, the technical specifications section of the official OnePlus Nord N100 product page does mention a 90Hz refresh rate in the display properties. However, it remains to be seen how well the high-refresh rate panel is optimized to work across apps, especially taking into consideration its low-end hardware.
It appears that OnePlus intentionally abstained from marketing the OnePlus Nord N100’s display as fluidic, simply because it couldn’t perform at the same level as the 90Hz panel on higher-end OnePlus devices such as the OnePlus Nord or the OnePlus 8. But that is just speculation. Whatever be the reason, it is definitely a sweet surprise to see an affordable phone packing a smoother 90Hz panel, despite the slightly underwhelming HD+ resolution.
OnePlus recently launched two new budget Android devices under the Nord brand. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100 were announced for the EU and North American markets. Like other OnePlus smartphones, we expected the new affordable devices to also receive at least two major Android updates, especially when they come pre-loaded with Android 10. But that might not be the case.
The latest development comes from Android Central, which cites a OnePlus spokesperson who reportedly confirmed that there will be only one major Android update for the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and Nord N100. Further, the spokesperson added that OnePlus will continue to take in community feedback to improve the software experience.
“The Nord N10 5G and N100 will receive one major Android update and a total of two years of security updates. The plan for these two devices aligns with industry standards for smartphones in more affordable price ranges. As always, we will continue listening to feedback from our users and looking for ways to improve the software experience for all OnePlus devices,” the OnePlus spokesperson said.
Typically, OnePlus offers two years of Android updates and three years of security patches. However, that’s not the case with the two new phones.
This comes as a bummer. To recall, these phones were launched after the OnePlus 8T that comes with Android 11 out of the box. The new Nord phones come with Android 10. Hence, one major Android update means that these will be updated to Android 11, and will be forgotten soon after. It would have been acceptable if this update meant an upgrade to Android 12, but that’s not the case.
OnePlus marked its re-entry to the mid-range segment with the launch of OnePlus Nord in India. Now, it is expanding its budget lineup with the launch of OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100 in Europe and North America. Interestingly, the two phones will not be making their way to India as opposed to the original OnePlus Nord.

OnePlus Nord marked the company’s re-entry to the mid-range segment. Now, the company is tipped to launch two more smartphones, which are tipped to make their way to the United States. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100 could debut in the US market on October 26, that is, tomorrow. Ahead of the rumored launch, specifications of both smartphones have leaked online.
According to a report from 91Mobiles, the OnePlus Nord N100 will feature a 6.52-inch HD+ display, and come equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset. Further, it is expected to run on the Android 11-based OxygenOS out of the box.
The smartphone might pack a 5,000mAh battery and stereo speakers. It is said to sport triple rear cameras that consist of a 13MP primary sensor and a pair of 2MP sensors. On the front may lie an 8MP selfie shooter. The Nord N100 could be made available for around 199 Euros. It might be made available by November 10.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G is said to feature a 6.49-inch FHD+ display with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC, which is a mid-range 5G chipset.
On the optics front, the device could sport a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 2MP shooters. As per the leak, it will pack a 4,300mAh battery and have room for a 3.5mm headphone jack. Earlier rumors have claimed that the company will be targeting a price tag under the $400 mark with the OnePlus Nord N10.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei confirmed back in July a Nord-series smartphone is coming to the US, since the first-gen didn’t make it to the American soil. In the subsequent months, multiple leaks surfaced online claiming that not one, but two OnePlus Nord series smartphones will arrive in the US market soon. Now, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has claimed that the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and the OnePlus Nord N100 will be officially launched on October 26.
The fresh leak falls in line with a previous one which claimed that the Nord N10 5G and the Nord N100 will go official later this month. Starting with the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, it will reportedly pack a 6.49-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Qualcomm’s freshly-announced Snapdragon 690 processor will be at its heart, ticking alongside 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB storage. The Qualcomm SoC will also bring 5G to the table.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G’s quad rear camera setup will be highlighted by a 64MP primary sensor, sitting alongside an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a couple of 2MP sensors for macro photography and depth sensing. The company is reportedly mulling an asking price of approximately $400 for its next smartphone, putting it in the same segment as Google’s Pixel 4a and the iPhone SE.
As for the OnePlus Nord N100, it will be priced further down the price ladder, which means a less powerful chipset, a lower-refresh rate display, and toned down cameras. As per a previous leak, the OnePlus Nord N100 might rely on the Snapdragon 460 SoC paired with 4 gigs of RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
Other rumored OnePlus Nord N100 specifications include a13MP snapper highlighting its triple rear camera setup, a 6.52-inch HD display and a large 6,000mAh battery. Leaks suggest that the OnePlus Nord N100 might be priced somewhere around the $200 mark, but do process this bit with a pinch of salt.
