OnePlus 3T Review: Never Settle Indeed (Video)

Being told to never settle is a tall order in 2016, but OnePlus has spent the last three years proving that you don’t need to break the bank to expect more. Just four months after the release of the OnePlus 3, the company decided that it could up the ante yet again for the holidays, and now it’s time for our full review.

What do you call a beautiful phone that’s running all the latest and greatest hardware that can power Android? We mostly know these as flagships, but in the case of OnePlus, this is more of a rebellion than anything. The company prides itself in launching Flagship Killers, using the price tag as its main go-to-market strategy, and so far that has worked. This is actually the first time that I actively test a OnePlus unit, and let’s just say that the 3T has me very impressed.

OnePlus announces some free case deals for Valentine’s Day promo

Is there no holiday that’s not a good opportunity to sell some smartphones? Arbor Day coming up? How about some half-priced wearables? Cinco de Mayo right around the corner? Let’s offer some free USB power packs with new phone purchases! So while you may not think of Valentine’s Day as a particularly phone-related celebration, hardware manufacturers are doing their darnedest to cash in on the inevitable swell of gift-giving all the same, and OnePlus is ...

OnePlus X sales come to North America today; got your invite yet?

OnePlus entered a new phase of its existence as a smartphone manufacturer last month when it announced the OnePlus X: it wasn’t just a company that came out with a new flagship each year – now it had a lineup. A small one, granted, but the combo of the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X means that the company no longer has to focus on a one-size-fits-all design and can instead reach a broader consumer base by delivering different models that cater to different wants and needs. Since launching, the OnePlus X has ...

OnePlus X review: simple beauty

Take a look at any roundup of the best smartphones under $300 and you’re bound to find a list of compromises. Handsets like Motorola’s Moto G and ASUS’s ZenFone 2 bring useful features like waterproofing or high-end silicon, but skimp on fit and finish. Devices like the BLU Vivo Air go the other way, delivering a ...

OnePlus X unboxing & first impressions: wow (Video)

The OnePlus X is no joke. That’s our first impression. Seriously. $249 isn’t the cheapest price tag around, but for a phone that looks, feels, and acts this good … it’s pretty damn competitive. Say what you will about OnePlus, with its strange invite-based purchase model, but the company really knows how to build a smartphone. More than that, it knows how to present one: an unpacking experience like this is what makes (otherwise-passé) unboxings worth it. Because with so much obvious effort spent on making for a beautiful retail presentation, unboxing the OnePlus ...

Good news continues to arrive about OnePlus X sales; invite system might not be that bad

OnePlus introduced its new OnePlus X mid-ranger in the early morning hours, and as as the day’s been unfolding, we’ve picked up more and more info about how the smartphone will be sold. The initial news didn’t sound super-promising, as OnePlus confirmed that just like the OnePlus Two and OnePlus One before it, the OnePlus X would be sold through an invite system – shoppers looking to purchase the phone would need to come across an invite code, either handed out by OnePlus itself or shared ...

OnePlus prepares to stop accepting new registrations for OnePlus 2 invites

Lately when we’ve been talking about OnePlus, our attention has been focused on the OnePlus X, gearing up (in all likelihood) to launch on October 29. But even with this new phone taking so much focus, we’re still following the story of the OnePlus 2, as the flagship continues to reach new users. And in spite of that brief period of wide-open sales, getting your hand on a OnePlus 2 continues to require an ...

OnePlus Mini makes brief early appearance on Amazon India

OnePlus may not have launched the OnePlus Mini just yet, but that sure hasn’t stopped anyone from talking about the phone like it’s a sure thing. And hell, between the FCC entry, TENAA listing, and the growing number of reports from independent sources, there’s been ample fuel for discussion. As we wait for OnePlus to make the phone official, it’s managed to pop up once again – and this time in a pretty high-profile place, as Amazon India appears to publish an early listing for the ...
