At last, the leaks can finally stop now. Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy A52 mid-ranger in two flavors – 4G and 5G. Both the variants share the same design and a lot of their internal hardware too, save for the processor, screen refresh rate, and memory configuration. Let’s start with the design first, which can best be described as clean and minimal.
Samsung has tried to recreate what Apple did with the iPhone 11 – almost blending the camera island with the rest of the rear panel, and we’re not complaining. The surface has a hazy matte finish, and to jazz things up, the company is offering Galaxy A52 in four colors – blue, white, black, and a cool purple trim.
Let’s talk about the innards. The 6.5-inch Super AMOLED offers an FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 800 nits of peak brightness, and a centered hole-punch that follows the Infinity-O design philosophy. The panel on Galaxy A52’s 4G model offers a 90Hz refresh rate, while the 5G variant takes things up a notch up by going for a 120Hz display. So far, 120Hz screens have been exclusive to Samsung flagships, so this one’s a neat upgrade.
Inside, you’ll find Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G (rumored) powering the 4G model, paired with 4GB / 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage. The 5G variant, on the other hand, has been armed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC (rumored) ticking alongside 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage. A thoughtful convenience is the ability to expand the onboard storage via a microSD card, all the way up to 1TB.
You’ll find four cameras at the back, headlined by an optically stabilized 64MP main camera. It sits alongside a 12MP ultra-wide snapper, a 5MP macro camera, and another 5MP unit for depth sensing. A 32MP shooter is there to take care of selfies and video calls. A cool camera trick is that you can extract 8MP stills from 4K video recorded by the phone. Notably, Samsung is promising four years of assured software updates for the phone.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A52 with a 4,500mAh battery, while authentication is handled by an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device runs Android 11-based One UI 3 skin out-of-the-box, and supports a music share feature that allows simultaneous playback on two sets of wireless earbuds. Also, the device comes with an IP67-certification for dust and water resistance.
On to the most important part – pricing. The 4G variant of Samsung Galaxy A52 will cost you €349 for the base model. And if you’re making an upgrade to the 5G model, it will evaporate at least €429 from your bank account. The impressive Samsung mid-ranger is now up for grabs from the official Samsung UK website.

Over the past few weeks, Samsung’s upcoming mid-ranger – the Galaxy A52 – has popped up on multiple occasions in leaks, giving us a glimpse of its design and some key specs too. Now, the folks over at Winfuture have shared almost everything there is to know about the Galaxy A52 – including some sweet high-resolution renders, internal hardware details, and the asking price too – for both its 4G and 5G variants.
Starting with the differences, cellular connectivity standard is obviously the key variance between the 4G and 5G models of the Galaxy A52. Additionally, the 4G variant will rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, while the 5G model will draw firepower from the Snapdragon 750G processor that has an integrated 5G modem. The rest of the internal hardware is almost identical.
Galaxy A52 will reportedly come armed with a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate – goes up to 120Hz on the 5G model – and a centered hole-punch in accordance with the Infinity-O design language. The Qualcomm SoC will be paired with 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of onboard storage with scope for further expansion via a microSD card slot.
Coming to the imaging hardware, the quad rear camera setup is highlighted by a 64MP primary snapper. It sits alongside an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 5MP and 2MP cameras as well – likely for macro photography and depth sensing. On the front, Galaxy A52 is said to offer a 32MP camera for selfie and video calling duties.
A 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging will keep the lights on, but wireless charging is missing. Android 11 will handle things on the software side, while the build of Galaxy A52 is claimed to be IP67-certified. Biometric authentication, on the other hand, will be handled by an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Coming to the pricing part, the Samsung Galaxy A52 will reportedly set buyers back by €349 (~ $420) for its 4G LTE model, while the 5G model will come with a €429 (~ $520) price tag attached to it. However, the pricing might differ from region to region, and a concrete launch date hasn’t been revealed either.
