The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra measures 164.8 x 77.2 x 8.1mm and weighs 208 grams. The S-Pen on the other hand measures 5.8 × 4.35 × 105.08mm and weighs 3.04 grams. It is Bluetooth enabled and has a battery standby time of up to 24 hours. Like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, this phone is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. It features a 6.9-inch edge Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display, which sports a punch-hole notch. It has a resolution of 3,088 x 1,440 at 496 PPI. Further, the smartphone comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and it is HDR10+ certified as well.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with an in-built slot for S-Pen unlike the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which houses its stylus in a separate cover.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with Qualcomm Kryo 680, which generates up to a 25% uplift in overall CPU performance and allows top frequencies of up to 2.84GHz. It is paired with Adreno 660 GPU that delivers up to 35% faster graphics rendering compared to the previous generation. It comes equipped with 12GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage options. There is a 5,000mAh battery powering the big phone.
The 'Ultra' performance
The Galaxy Note20 Ultra is powered by last year’s second flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC, paired with an SD X55 modem. It comes equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 512GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB with the help of a microSD card. The device supports one Nano-SIM and one microSD card slot. The audio is managed by stereo speakers tuned by AKG. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging. Further, it supports 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra sports a quad rear camera setup of 108MP primary (f/1.8, OIS) + 12MP ultra-wide (f/2.2, 120°) + 10MP telephoto (f/2.4, OIS) lens that supports 3x hybrid optical zoom + 10MP telephoto camera with an f/4.9 aperture and 10x hybrid zoom. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra sports a triple rear camera setup with laser autofocus. The primary lens is 108MP with an f/1.8 aperture. It supports PDAF and OIS. The second camera is 12MP ultra-wide-angle. It has a 120-degree field-of-view and 1.4μm pixel size. The third camera is a 12MP telephoto lens that has an f/3.0 aperture and 1.0μm pixel size. It comes with features like 5x optical zoom, up to 50x super-resolution zoom, and tracking AF. On the front lies a 10MP selfie shooter.

OPPO Find X3 could feature a custom-made Sony IMX789 lens
Let’s move on to OPPO as, we’re getting somewhat close to the release of the OPPO Find X3 and we know that one of the main things the company plans to focus on is the camera. According to a new leaks from Weibo, OPPO is working with Sony on a custom chip, the Sony IMX789, which we could see on the Find X3 Series. Apparently, all flagship OPPO models will come with a customized sensor, with the one we mentioned previously remaining an exclusive for them. As a reference, the previous Sony IMX766 promises top-notch photography in low light conditions with a 1/1.56in sensor offering 1.0μm, taking in 63.8% more light than the 48MP IMX586. So yeah, we should expect a custom sensor that absorbs a crazy amount of light. Some of the other leaked specs include the Snapdragon 888 5G, a 6.7in display with 525ppi, a 4500 mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC charging. And, for the camera’s we’re expecting two 50MP sensors, probably including the one we mentioned before.
OnePlus 9 leak reveals major battery and charging technology upgrades
OnePlus is also getting ready to launch their 9 Series as, multiple reports hint that we’ll be getting it earlier in the year, some time in March. We’re expecting 3 devices so far, the OnePlus 9, 9 Pro and even a Lite variant. Well, according to a new report from 91Mobiles, the regular OnePlus 9 will finally get wireless charging support as well as reverse wireless charging. Did I already say finally? IF you remember, earlier this year, the 8 Pro brought this feature but, both the 8T and the 8 missed out but, it looks like the company wants to even things out, only leaving out the Lite variant. Older leaks hint that the OnePlus 9 will bring a flat 6.55in FHD+, OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G, 8GB of RAM and it’ll probably start at 128GB of storage. When it comes to the cameras, it’ll apparently bring 2 48MP shooters, with some rumors hinting that we may even get a 50MP sensor from Leica. Wait what, Leica? Could it be that OnePlus is finally gonna fix the one thing they still can’t get right?
12.9-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED display might launch in Q1 2021
Let’s move on to Apple for a couple of segments, as aggressiveness seems to be part of their 2021 too. Let’s start with iPads as we’ve been covering a ton, and I mean a ton of mini-LED iPad rumors and leaks and it looks like we’re finally closing in on getting the actual products. According to a new report from DigiTimes, Apple has diversified their supply chain for displays and touch panels as, BOE has finally received approval to supply OLED for iPhones and integrated touch modules for mini-LED backlit panels for the 12.9in iPad Pro which according to them, will launch in the first quarter of 2021. So if you think about it, Ming Chi Kuo mentioned in one of his research notes that these new mini-LED iPads would begin production in Q4 of 2020 which goes along with this new report from DigiTimes. So yeah, we’re expecting these new iPads in the first half of 2021, most likely in Q1, and they are rumored to bring 5G support as well. Apple is reportedly preparing 6 devices with mini-LED displays but this iPad might be the first one.
Apple might take until 2027 to launch its ambitious car: Kuo
Let’s keep talking about Apple but this time, the Apple Car, which many could argue was anything but true until all the news that happened last week. It definitely looked like Apple was hard at work to get this car out but, this new report makes a lot more sense and it gives us a better time line. According to a new research note from Ming Chi Kuo, this car will be launched sometime between 2025 and 2027 the earliest. To quote Kuo, “we predicted that the car would launch between 2023-2025 but, their latest survey indicates that the current development schedule for the Apple Car is not clear, and if the development actually starts this year and everything goes well, 2025-2027 would be the earliest”. This is apparently due to some changes in the EV and Self-Driving market and Apple’s quality standards, with Kuo saying that he wouldn’t be surprised if it drops until 2028 or later. Last week we heard from Reuters that Apple is already contacting suppliers and that might be true but apparently they’re just beginning this process. And it’s still not clear if we’ll get a self-driving car, or a regular passenger vehicle like the report mentioned last week. We’ll see how the rumors develop over these upcoming years.

So far, most leaks have focused on the Ultra but now we get some more information on the more affordable siblings. We have a new detailed breakdown from WinFuture of the Galaxy S21 and S21+’s specs. Starting with the S21, it’ll rock a 6.2in FHD+ flat display, which will be 120Hz capable, with Gorilla Glass 7 on top, a downgrade when compared to the QHD+ panels on the S20 Series. It’ll either be powered by the Exynos 2100 or the Snapdragon 888 5G along with 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage and a 4000 mAh battery. When it comes to the S21+, it’ll bring a 6.7in AMOLED display, with the same specs as the S21 and actually less PPI. It’ll also be powered by the Snapdragon 888 or the Exynos 2100, same amount of RAM and same storage but, here we get a 4800 mAh battery. Now, when it comes to the cameras we’re expecting a triple camera module, with a 12MP primary, a 12MP ultra wide and a 64MP telephoto with 3x hybrid zoom. Both of these phones will be 5G capable, IP68 certified and will bring a 10MP selfie shooter. And, speaking of the fact that we’re getting close to the launch date, a new report from XDA reveals that the S21 Series is available for pre-order registrations through the Samsung website. We start today’s deals with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which is getting a $200 discount over at Amazon. This leaves the US version unlocked with 128GB storage for $1,100. However, you can also get the Galaxy S20 5G for $800 with the same 128GB storage option and $200 savings, but you will have to settle for the Cloud Pink color variant. Still, if you want a new Samsung smartphone, and you don’t really care if it’s a flagship or not, the Galaxy A71 5G is getting a $41 discount, leaving the 128GB unlocked version for $558.41.

Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 devices are experiencing wireless charging issues

It seems that recent updates for the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 phones have started to cause problems instead of solving them. The latest firmware update seems to be affecting the devices’ wireless charging capabilities, and several users have already begun to report this issue on official and unofficial Samsung forums.
According to several reports, the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 devices have stopped charging wirelessly after the latest firmware update. Now, don’t be alarmed, as this issue seems to be happening only with some third-party chargers. The main problem consists of wireless charging getting constant interruptions every few seconds. Users also claim that their devices could charge wirelessly with third-party chargers in the past, but the problems started after one of the latest firmware updates.
There is no exact reason as to what is causing this problem. But it seems that it is mostly affecting the Ultra variants of the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series. It is believed that the September 2020 or the October 2020 update may be responsible for these wireless charging issues.
Some affected users have also tried to fix the problem by rebooting their devices. They have also tried clearing the cache and factory resetting their Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 units. Unfortunately, none of these actions seem to fix the wireless charging issues. The problem seems to be spreading slowly, but luckily, it affects a small number of units compared to the actual number of devices sold around the world.
However, we also have to consider that several Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 users may have never tried to charge their devices wirelessly, or at least not with third-party wireless chargers. The official news today as always, begin with Deals. We usually have Apple deals so, let’s talk Samsung deals. Let’s start off with the new Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which is still $200 off, leaving the entry level variant for $1100 shipped. You can also get Samsung’s Galaxy Bundle which is pretty expensive but it includes the Note 20, the Tab S6, some Galaxy Buds Live and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 for $1873. The S20+ is also available for $696 but, keep in mind that this is the international variant aka Exynos chip. OnePlus teases a new audio wearable, probably the OnePlus Buds Z earbuds
Now let’s move to OnePlus cause as you know, this is another company that has major plans for TechTober. Now, even if they released the OnePlus Buds with the Nord, there have been some other leaks for a different pair of True Wireless Earbuds. If you remember tipsters like Max J were posting leaks about some “Buds Z”. But now, we have a teaser from OnePlus where they’re saying: “A whole new world of sound. Coming soon”. And on the picture we get to see the silicon tip for this bud which means, they won’t look like the regular AirPods. However, they could look like the AirPods Pro… All jokes aside, we don’t have much information on these Buds, other than the fact that we should expect them with the 8T on October 14th so, we’ll keep you posted. Now let’s focus on Samsung. I know we’re still pretty far away from the next Galaxy S Series but, we’ve been getting a decent amount of leaks for the time being. A couple of weeks ago, it went through a benchmark and we got some information on the battery size and other specs. Well, the S21 Ultra just went through certification in China, and this sort of serves as confirmation for these specs. This certification shows the model number and confirms that it brings a non-removable battery with a 4885 mAh capacity, which usually means it’ll be labeled as a 5,000 mAh battery. The s20 Ultra brought this same battery but, remember we’re getting new 5nm processors which means we could get significantly improved battery life. Other leaks we’ve been getting for the S21 are that it might bring a significantly better Exynos 1000, and some major camera improvements. We still have a long way to go so, leaks are just getting started.Microsoft launches the Surface Laptop Go, and it starts at a sweet $549
Today we got a pretty pleasant surprise from Microsoft. We know that the company has been trying to take a more affordable route with their Surface Laptops as they’re trying to take on the Chromebook market. Well, the company just announced the Surface Laptop Go, which tackles on that strategy. It has the same design as the Surface Laptop 3 with a 12.4in touch display but, with some rounded corners. It’s powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5, either 4 or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GBs or eMMC storage or up to 256GB of SSD. It runs Windows 10 in S mode and according to Microsoft it can last up to 13hrs on a single charge. You get one USB-C port, one USB-A port, one Surface Connect port and a headphone jack. It’ll be available on October 13th in the US and it starts at $549. I’m still trying to wrap my head around using Windows 10 with only 64 Gigs of storage, but hey, we’ll see about that.Apple’s foldable iPhone may arrive with a new “self-healing display”
For years, and I mean years, there’s been leaks and rumors that Apple was working on a foldable iPhone. A couple of days ago we covered how Apple ordered a significant amount of foldable displays from Samsung and now we get some more information as to why they ordered these. A new patent application shows that Apple is looking for ways of minimizing damage on foldable displays. The patent mentions a device that would repair itself automatically, without the user needing to do anything through a layer of self healing material. For example, a self-healing coating would be applied on top, and if this coating is dented, the material in the coating will fill up the dent. Heat can also be used as a stimulus for the healing process, and by using some conductors it can help this process. The main objective here is to help get rid of imperfections like dents and scratches, to give you a better experience with this display. We know that Apple isn’t in a rush to get a foldable iPhone out but, if they’re working on things like this, we might be getting a pretty cool product. Reminds me of the LG G Flex.Story of the day:

And finally the hottest new today have to do with Apple, but this time with the iPhones we are getting within the next few weeks. We have some new leaked price tags from a tipster on Twitter who, actually has a pretty neat track record. So, according to him, the 5.4in 12 Mini will start at 64GB and will cost $649 while the regular 6.1in 12 will start at $749 for 64GBs of storage as well. Moving on to the Pros, the 6.1in variant will start at $999 with 128GB of storage, while the 12 Pro Max will start at $1099 with 128GB of storage as well. Of course we should take these with a grain of salt but, they go along with other leaks we’ve seen like the storage tiers as Jon Prosser gave us these same numbers a couple of days ago. Also, the regular non-Pro models seem to be cheaper than some of the older leaks we had, which hinted to the mini starting at $749.
