The latest OnePlus 9 series and Samsung devices are on sale today

We start today’s deals with a selection of some of the best Android smartphones available. First, we head over to OnePlus.com, where we find that pre-orders for the OnePlus 9 series are live. You can get a new OnePlus 9 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB of storage space for $729. Now, savings are not being reflected directly on this device’s price tag, but you will get a pair of new OnePlus Buds Z in White, a $50 value, for free upon purchase.

If you want to go pro, the OnePlus 9 Pro can be yours for $1,069, and you will get 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor under the hood. You will get a 120Hz Fluid Display on both models, as well as 65W Ultra Fast Charging, but only the 9 Pro comes with 50W Wireless Charging, and you get a pair of OnePlus Buds Z Steven Harrington Edition, a $60 value for free.

Now, those aren’t the only OnePlus products on sale, as you can find the OnePlus 8 Pro selling for $699 after a $300 discount when getting the 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage variant. And you can also get up to 40 percent off OnePlus accessories to go with it. The OnePlus 8T and the 8 are getting a $200 discount, meaning you can grab one for $599 and $499, respectively. However, I’d personally go for the 8T since it comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage space, while the OnePlus 8 comes with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM.

Finally, we head over to Samsung.com, where we find the latest Galaxy S21 series starting at just $100 if you go for the vanilla or the Plus variants. Yes, both are available for just $100 after an eligible trade-in, but the best deal comes with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra that’s currently selling for $300.

You can also get a new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra locked to Verizon or AT&T for as low as $325, which is even less than what you would have to pay for the regular Galaxy Note 20 unlocked that’s now selling for $350 with an eligible trade-in. And if you’re looking for a foldable that won’t break the bank; you can get the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip for $650 with 5G support, or go for the LTE-only variant for $100 more.

Now, if you have the iPhone 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max, you might want to pay attention as, this new update enables the Apple ProRAW mode that they announced at the event. If we’re getting technical ProRAW is a 12-bit file that relies on Apple’s processing and computational photography to give you more granular control over different aspects of the photo like color, detail and dynamic range. This translates to images that are as big as 25MB but it makes photography even more interesting on your smartphone. So, if you’re into iPhone photography go check out your software updates tab, this update also adds support for AirPods Max and brings other new features like App Clips. You also get Fitness+ in case you subscribed to Apple One, which means there’s also a major update to the Apple Watch to support it. You bet, macOS Big Sur also found a major update, and now apps like the Microsoft Office Suite support the M1 processor natively. You can learn more in the description.

Apple plans 30% production surge for 2021’s first half expecting strong iPhone demand

Let’s keep talking iPhones but move on to future releases as we hear that the company plans to have a more of a normal year in 2021 and yet plans to be aggressive about it. Every single year we hear reports about how the company might have a Super Cycle but, despite the pandemic it looks like they might be looking at one right now. According to a new report from Nikkei Asia, Apple plans to produce up to 96M iPhones for the first half of 2021 on both old and new models, marking a 30% year-over-year increase. Now, when it comes to the full year forecast, we’re looking at 230M iPhones for next year which is a 20% increase over 2019 and it’s pretty on par with their record-breaking 231.5M shipped from 2015. The report also mentions that Cupertino is preparing an aggressive production schedule for their high-end computers, including the MacBook Pro and an iMac Pro for next year. It also mentions a new Apple TV for next year which other tipsters have mentioned as well. We’ll see if that super cycle actually happens this year, with analysts like Jeff Pu forecasting 220M shipments for Apple. It seems that regardless of how bad this pandemic has been, people have actually consumed more electronics than ever.

We could get an Apple Watch with Touch ID and under-display camera

Now how about if we talk Apple Watch. I find it interesting how Apple nailed security on that watch so well, having it lock itself instantly when you remove it from your wrist, and even serve as a Touch ID replacement for your Mac, which means if someone knows your PIN, you’re screwed. Seems Apple has decided to fix that with some new patent applications. The first one is titled “Electronic device having sealed button biometric sensing system,” AKA, let’s use that side button as a fingerprint scanner like we have with the iPad Air. The second is “Electronic devices with two-stage displays” which reportedly will allow for an under display camera. Why would you ever want a camera on the most awkward position ever is the weirdest thing, but it seems Apple finds a use for it. Whatever the case may be I’m excited to get Touch ID on the Apple Watch, but remember Apple is known for excessive prototyping, so we have no idea if and when this will happen.

Samsung could give us up to four new folding smartphones next year

And since the rumors hint to Samsung getting rid of the Note line next year, we know that they plan to bank big on their foldables. Well, according to an ETNews report, Samsung will be releasing 4 different foldables in 2021. These 4 foldables will consist of two Z Fold models and two Z Flip models. All of these phones are expected to arrive with 5G capabilities, with mass production beginning some time in August, a little late but in time for when usually get the Note event. And, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard that Samsung plans to do this so it might actually be the company’s strategy. Other reports hint that Samsung plans to include the S Pen in the Fold 3, because they’re planning to get rid of the Note line. ETNews also reports that Samsung might even plan to release a rollable smartphone sometime late next year or in 2022. So yeah, we should be getting two new Z Fold 3’s, hopefully one with a more affordable variant if it actually plans to replace the Note, and two Z Flip 3’s, yes, 3. I’ll admit I admire Samsung’s boldness in completely banking its efforts on foldables, but I seriously wonder if consumers will react the same way for the price.

                                      Story of the day:

Samsung officially hints at S Pen support for more devices, likely the Galaxy S21 Ultra

And finally the hottest news today have everything to do with Samsung’s upcoming releases and their plans to get rid of the Note by extending some of its features to the Galaxy S. In typical Samsung fashion, we’re getting more official details. Multiple reports this year have hinted to the S21 bringing S Pen support, again for the fact that we might not get a Note. Well, the president and head of mobile communications business hinted on a Blogpost that stylus support “will make its way to more devices than just the Note portfolio” also hinting that the Note might not die after all. To quote him, he mentions that “they’ve also been paying attention to people’s favorite aspects of the Note experience, and they are excited to add some of the most well-loved features to other devices in their line-up”. He also said that limitations are for other brands and that Samsung wants to test the rules as they know no bounds. Of course, he didn’t explicitly say that the S Pen is coming to the S21 but, a TON of reports have alluded to this ever since the leaks started. Sadly, tipsters like Ice Universe and other reliable sources claim that the S Pen will be supported, but it won’t ship with the phone and it won’t be placed inside it, like we get with the Note.

These are some of the best Apple deals for Black Friday

Alright, we’ve decided that this deals segment needs to grow when the demand calls for it, and come on, it’s Black Friday week. Since today we’re talking Apple for the hottest news, let’s begin with Apple deals. Like yesterday, we’re gonna start this off with trade-in deals first, as you can currently get the iPhone 12 Pro for $370 off, if you have an eligible device, leaving the entry level model for $629. The 12 Pro Max is getting the same treatment, leaving that at $729. Moving on to Macs, the Intel 13in MacBook Pro is $150 off, leaving the Intel Core i5, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD variant for $1649. The 16in MacBook Pro is $260 off, that leaves the Core i7, 6GB of RAM and 512GB of storage model for $2150. Finally, the old Intel MacBook Air is $100 off, that leaves the entry level model for $899. Again these are Intel models which is kind of a bummer but they’re still good machines. Now, iPads! The 11in iPad Pro, Wi-Fi only model with 512GB of storage is available for $100 off, leaving it at $999. The latest iPad Air is also $40 off, that leaves the entry level variant for $559. And guys, this segment is already pretty long so we have more deals on other Macs, other iPads, the Apple Watch and even some Beats products in the links in the description.

These are the best Samsung deals for Black Friday

Oh, that was just Apple’s section. For all you Samsung fans, This is a quick reminder of the deals they continue to have, which make it really compelling to get their latest devices. Just keep in mind that these deals depend on you having an eligible device to trade in. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is available for the same $1000 we mentioned yesterday, but now in both color options and the customizable hinge. The Note 20 Ultra is available for $550 and the regular Note 20 for a crazy $250. Moving on to the S Series, you can get the S20 for $390, the S20+ for $540 and the Ultra for $740, might makes them a tough pick given the crazy deal for the Note 20 Ultra. To end with Samsung, you can also get the S20 FE for $140 so, again, all these deals apply if you have an eligible device to trade in. Sticking to Samsung and their trade-ins, the Galaxy Watch 3 is also available for $140 and the Titanium version is available for $300. Pretty much half of for both of them. We also have deals on the Galaxy Buds, the Watch Active 2 and more in the description.

Black Friday gives us Motorola, Google and more Samsung deals

And no worries, we’re not done. That was just the Apple and Samsung section for today’s deals, We’ve got more on other companies as well.. Let’s move on to Google smart speakers, for example the Nest Hub is $40 off, leaving it at $50 shipped. The Home Max is $150 off, leaving it at $149. They also have some bundles like the Nest Audio 2 pack for $30 off, leaving it at $170. Moving on to Moto, the RAZR 5G is $400 off, leaving it at $1000 shipped. The Edge is also $300 off, leaving that at $400 shipped. We also have deals on the G Power, G Stylus and more. HyperX is also having a huge sale on their keyboards headsets and more. Their Alloy Origins Keyboard is $300 off, leaving it at $80. Their HyperX Cloud Stinger Core headset is $10 off, leaving it at $29 shipped on Amazon. Finally, Fitbit also has some pretty good options with the Versa 3 being $30 off, meaning you can get it for $200. The Special Edition for the Versa 2 is $70 off, leaving it at $150. We have even more deals in the links in the description.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip successor might rock a 120Hz display and slimmer bezels

Fine, let’s now move on to news. If you tuned in yesterday, one of the things we talked about is that we would be getting the next Galaxy Z Flip, later than the Galaxy S21 unlike last year where we got them at the same event. Well, according to some new reports from the Elec this phone was actually delayed, mainly to push production for the Galaxy S21 and because of what we covered yesterday which said that Samsung doesn’t want new products to mess with their regular sales as the Galaxy Note might disappear. The report also adds that Samsung might launch anywhere between three to five foldables next year, maybe they’re adding more phones to each line-up with different price points. On another note (pun intended), a new leak from Ice Universe says that this phone will actually be called the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and it will bring an improved 120Hz display, narrower bezels and it will get a cheaper price tag. Now, we don’t actually know how cheaper yet but, if they really want this strategy to succeed, they should at least price this and the Z Fold 3, somewhat closer to the Note’s price point.

We have new images of the Samsung Galaxy S21 or the Galaxy S21+

And yes, let’s keep talking about Samsung but this time for the Galaxy S21 and I guess you can say we’re in the home stretch when it comes to leaks for this phone. We have some new case renders for either the S21 or the S21+ telling by this design. They show the flat display which will either be 6.2in or 6.7in depending on the variant, both rocking 120Hz display rates at FHD+, kind of a downgrade when compared to the S20. At the back you can also see the camera array which is significantly smaller than the Ultra’s rocking three cameras which consist of a 12MP main sensor, a 64MP telephoto and a 12MP ultra wide. A while ago we also had other case renders for the Ultra but we didn’t do a daily that day and, the thing about it is that all we can see is the camera array and not the display. We’re expecting an event to happen sometime around January 14 so let’s see, things should only get more interesting from here.

                                      Story of the day:

Redesigned MacBooks with Apple silicon are coming in H2 2021: Kuo

And finally the hottest news today have to do with Apple, the fact that we still can’t believe how good those M1 MacBooks are, and yet why you might wanna wait a little to buy. I mean sure, Cupertino just unveiled these new batch of computers, but the concerns of many are valid, they seriously look like the old ones in every way. It would make sense for anyone to want a re-design, and we also wonder what the next batch of Apple Silicon chips is gonna be able to do. Well, according to a new research note from Ming Chi Kuo, the next step in Apple’s two year transition away from Intel is redesigned MacBooks. Now, he didn’t really specify which models we’re getting, but he has previously said that we should expect a redesigned 16in and a 14in MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon that should launch in the second or third quarter of 2021. Based on other Kuo reports, we should also expect some new miniLED Macs and a lower priced iPad in the first quarters of the year. Now, when it comes to sales, he predicts that the demand for these M1 Macs is actually higher than expected, and the 12 Pro and Pro Max are actually stealing the show when it comes to iPhones as the demand for the regular 12 and the Mini is not as high. Finally, both Apple Watches are selling well thanks to the new health management functions and the improved design.
