New Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra leak includes new images and specs

After all the rumors we’ve received, we can say that we’re only waiting for the upcoming Galaxy S21 series to become official. We have already seen the three devices in tons of leaked images and videos. We have also seen the phones’ color options and possible price tags. Still, a new leak doesn’t hurt, and this time we are getting new images of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, as well as some key specs of the upcoming device.

The new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has appeared in new leaks where it appears in its “Phantom Silver” color variant. However, that’s not the most important part of the leak, as the guys over at have also gotten their hands on the phone’s specs.

Samsung’s higher-end flagship is said to arrive with a 6.8-inch display, which is a tenth of an inch smaller than its predecessor. The reason for this is that the new Dynamic AMOLED 2X display panel guarded by Gorilla Glass Victus will be mostly flat. It will have a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 1440p+ resolution, 515 PPI Pixel density, and it will be able to deliver 120Hz refresh rates. The display in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is also expected to be very power efficient thanks to its adaptive refresh rate feature. It is also expected to reach a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits.

Moving over to the back, we find that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with two 10MP telephoto cameras. The first one will be a 10x folded periscope with 10-degree FoV, which is like having 240mm and f.4.9 aperture, while the second one will be a traditional 3x lens with a 35-degree FoV and f/2.4, and a hybrid zoom will take care of making smooth transitions between focal lengths. We will also get an ultra-wide-angle camera with 12MP resolution and its new 108MO main sensor, which has an optical image stabilizer. Further, we will get a 40MP selfie camera that will also deliver 8K video at 30 fps, 4K at 60 fps, and 1080 at 240 fps.

Inside we are expecting to see an Exynos 2100 chipset in the international version and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 in the US version. We are also getting a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, 12GB RAM, and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage options to choose from. However, we are not expecting to receive a charging adapter, AKG headphones, or a microSD card slot with the new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S21 specs and features have been leaked

Rumors suggest that Samsung will launch its next Galaxy S flagship earlier than other years, which means that we will most likely start getting tons of new rumors concerning the Samsung Galaxy S21 or S30 series. The latest leak may be the biggest one we could expect before the new flagships are launched. It includes every important spec and feature, months ahead of the phones’ launch.

According to the latest information posted by the guys over at Android Police, the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series will include three devices with different display sizes and a couple of interesting features. We will start with the base model of the Galaxy S21, which is codenamed O1. This device is said to come with a 6.2-inch FHD+ LTPS display with a 120hz refresh rate. Inside, we will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 in the US version or an Exynos 2100 in the device’s international version.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra will have a 5000mAh battery, and it would work with One UI 3.1 based on Android 11. Its camera is expected to feature a 12MP Ultra-Wide sensor, a 12MP main, and a 64MP telephoto. This would also be the variant with the most color options, as it will be available in Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink, Phantom Gray, and Phantom White.

Next up, we find the Samsung Galaxy S21+, codenamed T2. This device will share the same processor, software, and camera setup as the entry-level version. However, it will feature a larger 6.7-inch display, a 4800mAh battery. It will be available in three color variants: Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, and Phantom Violet.

Finally, the Ultra variant of the Samsung Galaxy S21 is expected to arrive with the largest display of them all, as it is said to feature a 6.8-inch WQHD+ LTPO display and an adaptive 1-120Hz display. The new Galaxy S21 Ultra will also include a 5,000mAh battery and a powerful camera that includes a 12MP Ultra-Wide sensor, a 108MP Gen 2, a 3x optical 10MP, and a 10x optical 10MP camera sensor, which could be the strogest optical zoom system available according to @IceUnicerse. Now, color options are limited, with a Phantom Black and a Phantom Silver to choose from.

Rumors also suggest that the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S21 will feature a plastic rear cover, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with a glass back, but no word was mentioned about the back panel in the Galaxy S21+ variant. All three devices will support 5G connectivity and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. Still, the Galaxy S21 and the S21+ will work with WiFi 6, while the S21 Ultra will use WiFi 6E, which Samsung claims is two times faster than standard WiFi 6.

Another feature that will be present across the board is 4K/60fps recording, and the cameras will be able to switch automatically between 30fps and 60fps depending on lighting conditions. 8K at 30fps is also available, replacing the 8K at 24fps featured in the Galaxy S20 series. The guys at Android Police confirmed the design of the Galaxy S21, and they also claim that they have confirmed all the information in this leak through multiple sources.

We have a new spec leak of the Motorola Edge Lite

A new Motorola Edge Lite was recently spotted at the FCC, but now we have a new leak that reveals the device’s specs.

According to the latest leak, the Motorola Edge Lite will have a 6.7-inch display, a 1080×2520 resolution ad a 21:9 aspect ration with a 90Hz refresh rate. It would also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a hole-punch to accommodate an 8MP selfie camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Further, it will have a quad-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 48MP main shooter with a 16MP, 8MP, and 5MP sensor. There’s still no word on what type of sensors are included in this device, but at least we can expect the 5MP camera to be a depth sensor or a macro camera.

The new Edge Lite would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765, with 4/6GB RAM options and 64/128GB storage options. A 4,800mAh battery with 18W fast charging would complete the package. Other features include NFC, 5G, USB-C, and some variants that would also arrive with Dual-SIM support. The device will come with Android 10 out of the box, and you would have Prussian, Surfing Blue, Azury, Soft White color options in the US (on Verizon), in Japan, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. It also seems like the entry-level version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage could launch with a €399 price tag in Europe. Whatever the case, we will have to wait for the device to become official to confirm all of this new information.

We have leaked specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2

We are getting more and more information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. It is believed that this device may launch on the same day as the new Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Unfortunately, it won’t arrive with stylus support. Now, we get more details about its specs and features that are quite interesting.

According to a new report from South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will support 120Hz refresh rates. It would also feature a 7.7-inch display with a 2213×1689 resolution and an 11.8:9 aspect ratio inside. The phone’s outer cover would go from 6.23 to 4.6-inches when compared to its predecessor. We have leaked images of the Honor X10 ahead of its official launch

The new Honor X10 will apparently arrive with a glass body and three color options: blue, orange, and black. On the back of the device, we can easily see its triple camera setup and read “Super Night Vision.”

This device is also supposed to include an RYYB filter in its 40MP main camera, which will be backed up with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. Unfortunately, we don’t have live images of the front side of the device, but other images suggest a notch-less display with a pop-up 16MP selfie camera. Other specs include a 6.63-inch LCD screen, 6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage options, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 4,300mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging, a Kirin 820 processor and 5G support. However, we may have to wait until its official launch on May 20 to confirm this information.

Even with all of the delays Apple is still pushing to release at least some of their products this year. According to a new Bloomberg report, Apple’s over the ear headphones will be called AirPods Studio and they will feature a magnetic design which would make them customizable with interchangeable parts, like a selection of different headband styles. These are expected to come out some time later this year for a price around
$349.

We may have to wait until June for the launch of the Google Pixel 4a

As per usual, we’ve gotten a ton of rumors and leaks of the Google Pixel 4a, including retail boxes, sample images, and billboards. Google I/O was supposed to happen this week, before the pandemic. A leak suggested that the phone might be available for purchase on May 22nd, hinting to a May 15th launch date. According to a German publication and a Vodafone listing, that might not happen and we might have to wait until June 5 to be able to purchase. We know that Google’s Android 11 Event will be happening on June 3rd so Google is apparently waiting to announce it in that event.

Story of the day:

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will get better display, but no Ultra variant

We have some new leaks for the Galaxy Note 20 where the source is stating that we might not get a Note 20 Ultra this year. Aparently we’re still only getting two Galaxy Notes, or only two with a flat slab design. When it comes to the Galaxy Note 20+, the display will grow from 6.8-in to 6.87-in, with the resolution increasing to 3096 x 1444p, resulting in a 497 PPI. It will have a 19.3:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate with LTPO for variable refresh rate. The regular Note 20 will have a 6.42-in display, still at 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz mode as well. This LTPO tech offers 5-15% in power savings, when compared to a regular panel. Ice Universe also confirmed these leaks, but obviously we’ll have to get back to you on timing.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will get better display, but no Ultra variant

Ross Young, founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, just shared some valuable information on his twitter account. He gives important details about the next Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and what we can, or won’t get with this new series.

It seems that Samsung is ready to include LTPO displays to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20. This would directly improve the battery life in Samsung’s future flagship in fifteen to twenty percent. The regular Note 20 would include a 6.42-inch display with a 2345 x 1084 resolution, 404 PPI, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz variable refresh rate with LTPO. The Galaxy Note 20+ will also get improvements, as it will now include a 6.87-inch display with a 3096 x 1444 resolution, 19.3:9 aspect ratio, and it will also have a 120Hz variable refresh rate with LTPO.

Now, don’t expect to get an Ultra variant for the Galaxy Note 20. It seems that what we will get instead is the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.

The new Chromecast could arrive with a new name and Android TV

A new report claims that the Chromecast might be going through some changes soon. Apparently it will now be called Nest Cast and it will run full blown Android TV. Instead of having the content cast directly from your phone or other device, users would be able to use a remote to interact with the interface, just like TVs with Android TV. It will also be able to stream games through Stadia, sources aren’t certain when we are getting this but we might see it at Google I/O. Oh and other reports say that Android TV is gonna now become Google TV as well. Stay tuned.

Apple could give us a foldable MacBook or MacBook Pro in the future

Apple has put out several foldable patents over the years for both the iPad and the iPhone and now we have a new one for the Mac. The ‘Planar Hing Assembly’ patent shows a design for a MacBook Pro-style device which would have a ‘single piece body with a seamless appearance that includes a bendable portion, capable of having a smoothly curved shape’. The biggest problem is that in this bendable portion you still have mechanical components that have to be in communication with the rest of the device, doing things like connecting the keyboard to the display. Apple would fix the problem of having this bendable piece work by stacking layers that can transition from an uncompressed to a compressed state. This bendable hinge could be even more reliable than current hinges if done right, but we’ll see if we ever get it.

Xiaomi sends launch invites for Poco F2 debut on May 12: Reports

Yesterday we discussed how we should be getting a POCO F2 Pro soon and according to Android Authority, they got an invitation from Xiaomi’s Spain PR agency to an Event on May 12th for a ‘second generation’ product. We also have a leaked invitation on Twitter for an event on May 12th at 2PM in Madrid, with the invitation looking like the teaser we showed yesterday. We’re expecting the phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 865, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, reportedly starting at €649.

Microsoft’s new Surface Headphones 2 are coming with improved battery life

Microsoft Surface Earbuds finally arriving on May 12 with a lower $199 price tag

Microsoft Surface Book 3 is official: 10th Gen Intel CPU, new NVIDIA GPUs, and up to 32GB RAM

Microsoft Surface Go 2 with slimmer bezels, more power goes official for $399

Microsoft just announced a substantial list of products today, starting with the Surface Go 2 and the Surface Book 3. Starting off with the Surface Go 2, it features options from a Pentium Gold to a Intel Core m3 with slimmer bezels in the same chassis as the older model. Specs go from 4 to 8 Gigs of RAM, 64 Gigs of eMMC or 128 Gigs of SSD storage and price starts at $399, going up to $879 for the maxed out variant. Now, the Surface Book 3 brings a similar design as well but with way better internals. It brings Intel’s latest 10th gen processors, it goes up to 32GB of RAM with what Microsoft claims to be the fastest ever SSDs. You get to choose the graphics between the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max Q, GTX 1660Ti or Quadro RTX 3000 on the business model. It comes in two sizes, 13.5in and 15in with a promised 15% boost in performance. The 13.5in starts at a hefty $1599 while the 15in will cost you $2299. They also announced the Surface Headphones 2 which now offer a darker color option along with the ANC it’s known for, letting you manually adjust the level of Noise Cancellation you want through 13 different levels. The interesting thing is that they now cost $249 instead of $349. Oh and the Surface Earbuds that look like gages.. Yeah those are finally available and ugly as ever.

Story of the day:

These could be the new Samsung Galaxy S21 camera specs

We have a new report from Taiwan that hints to Samsung testing some interesting camera specs for the Galaxy S21. The report claims due to the Galaxy S20 being notorious for its focusing issues, that’s gonna be a major priority. It also says that one of the development models is rumored to bring a 150MP main sensor, a 64MP telephoto, a 16MP wide angle and a 12MP macro sensor. The report even mentiosn that the company might drop the ToF, which is quite interesting at a time when there’s so much bet for AR. Apparently two versions of this model are being tested, one with Optical Image Stabilization on the main sensor, the telephoto and the selfie camera. The other one has OIS for the main sensor, the telephoto and the wide angle. Samsung is also reportedly working on ramping up their work on higher resolution sensors to make room for the 150MP sensor.

It's only fair to share...Share on RedditShare on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Tumblr

We are months away from the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S series. Still, we are already getting some details about the camera in the next flagship. It seems that Samsung may be ditching its laser autofocus to stop having focusing issues like the ones presented in the current lineup. Hopefully, the glass on the new Samsung Galaxy S21 camera bumps won’t break like they do in the S20 Ultra.

The new camera in the new Samsung Galaxy S21 may include massive upgrades. According to rumors, the primary camera would consist of a 150MP camera sensor, a 64GB telephoto, a 16MP wide-angle, and a 12MP macro sensor. Earlier reports also mention that Samsung may drop the ToF sensor as early as the Galaxy Note 20, but it seems that it could also arrive in the camera of the Galaxy S21.

It seems that there are two versions being tested, the first one would have Optical Image Stabilization on the main telephoto sensor, and the selfie camera, while the other version would have OIS in the Telephoto and the wide-angle camera. Now, the macro camera is usually found in Samsung’s Galaxy A series, but it could very well find its way to the next Galaxy S flagship.
