Redmi 9 was launched in India late last week. Today, the smartphone will be up for grabs for the first time. It comes in Sporty Orange, Sky Blue and Carbon Black color options. The Redmi 9 price in India starts at Rs 8,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model, and the 128GB storage variant costs Rs 9,999. It will be made available through Amazon and Mi.com at 12 noon.

The smartphone features a 6.53-inch LCD Dot Drop screen with a 1600 x 720-pixel resolution. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. Further, the smartphone comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It sports a dual rear camera setup of 13MP + 2MP and a 5MP selfie shooter. The Redmi 9 runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 and packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

Redmi 9 is now official in India. The smartphone features a 6.53-inch LCD Dot Drop screen with a 1600 x 720-pixel resolution. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. Further, the smartphone comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

The Redmi 9 sports a dual rear camera setup of 13MP + 2MP and a 5MP selfie shooter. It runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 and packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. It phone features an AuraEdge design with a grip-friendly texture that doesn’t attract smudges or fingerprints

It comes in Sporty Orange, Sky Blue and Carbon Black color options. The Redmi 9 price in India starts at Rs 8,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage mode, and the 128GB storage variant costs Rs 9,999. It will be available from Amazon.in and mi.com starting from August 31.

Redmi 9 teased to be launched in India on August 4

Redmi has teased the launch of its next smartphone in India. It is expected to launch the Redmi 9 in the country on Amazon.in. The teaser shows Prime and the reflection inside the phone shows NINE, which clearly confirms the Redmi 9 series. However, which phone will be launched is not confirmed. To recall, there are three Redmi 9 series smartphones including Redmi 9, 9A and 9C.

The Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD water-drop display. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. It sports a quad rear camera setup of 13MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP and an 8MP selfie shooter. The handset packs a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging, but it comes with a 10W charger in the box.

Redmi 9 launched in China in two new storage variants

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 9 in China after announcing it for the European market earlier this month. The smartphone is getting two new storage variants in the country, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB. Other specifications of the handset remain unchanged. However, Xiaomi is yet to reveal the launch details of the phone for other international markets like India.

The Redmi 9 features a  6.53-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) display with waterdrop-style notch. It runs Android 10 and is powered by the Helio G80 SoC. It sports a quad rear camera setup of 13MP + 8MP +5MP + 2MP and an 8MP selfie shooter. The smartphone packs a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.

Redmi 9 price and availability in China

Redmi 9 price in China is as follows:

  • 4GB + 64GB: ¥799 (~$113)
  • 4GB + 128GB: ¥999 (~$141)
  • 6GB + 128GB: ¥1199 (~$169.6)

It is currently up for pre-bookings in China via Mi China site and JD.com. It comes in Carbon black, Mordecin, Neon Blue, and Lotus Root Powder color options.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 goes official, offers quad rear cameras and Helio G80 chip for just €139

Xiaomi has today launched its highly anticipated budget phone – the Redmi 9 – in Spain. The latest bread-and-butter entry in the core Redmi series offers some impressive specs and an appealing design at an extremely affordable price point of just €139 (~$157), easily undercutting the competition from Motorola and fellow Chinese smartphone brands.

The Redmi 9 offers a 6.53-inch FHD+ display that is kept lit by a large 5,020 mAh battery, complete with support for 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G80 processor keeps it running, paired with up to 4 gigs of RAM and 64GB onboard storage.

At the back, you’ll find a 13MP main camera, assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, while the waterdrop notch on the front houses an 8MP selfie snapper. And despite being a budget phone, it offers NFC support for contactless payments and also has an IR blaster.

Redmi 9 price & availability

Xiaomi has priced the Redmi 9 at €139 (~$157) for the base 3GB+32GB variant, but that price is valid only for the pre-order period that lasts between June 15 and June 17. After that, the asking price will be hiked to €149 (~170$). As for the 4GB+64GB configuration, the pre-order price is €169 (~$190), and after that, it will go on sale for €179 (~$203) starting June 18 in Spain. Unfortunately, there is no official information on its availability in other markets including India.

Redmi 9 leak tips Helio G80 SoC, could launch on June 25

We have been hearing rumors about the Xiaomi Redmi 9 for a while now. The lineup is said to include Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, and Redmi 9C. The latest development comes from a tipster who claims that the Redmi 9 will be powered by the Helio G80 chipset. It is said to launch on June 25 in the Vietnamese market.

The smartphone is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch full HD+ LCD display with a top-center positioned punch-hole. It is said to ship with an 18W fast charger for its 5,000mAh battery. The device is tipped to come with a quad rear camera setup of 13MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP.

The Redmi 9 is expected to arrive in Vietnam in two models: 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. It is likely to be priced under $150. Moreover, it could be priced cheaper in India and China.
