Microsoft’s Lost Opportunity: Windows Mobile Users Went to Android

You may be hearing about Intel’s missed opportunity to put their chip inside the iPhone. But what about Microsoft’s lost opportunity? It seems like quite a while ago, but it hasn’t been that long. Microsoft was on top of the world. Pocketnow Throwback Review: Motorola Q (Video)

North America, Summer 2006: Talladega Nights is at the top of the box office; Nickelback and Hinder battle it out for butt-rock band of the year; and an acting student named Michael Fisher grows a pretty sweet mustache in an otherwise-sedate corner of Southeastern Virginia. Bill Gates Says Windows Phone Strategy Was a “Mistake”

It’s been more than a few years since Bill Gates turned over the reigns of Microsoft half-a-decade ago, but he still has quite a bit of control in the company as Chairman of the Board. During his early years with the company, he had a very lofty goal: a computer on every desk and in every home. I don’t think you’ll find anyone who will argue that we have seen that objective achieved. Computers, whether they are servers, desktops, workstations, or even traditional laptops, are quickly becoming a thing of the past. Gates saw that coming as well and started rolling out ...
