The evolution of Android over the years has oftentimes been the direct result of nifty features of OEM skins. With the Android 5.0 release, Google produced a Motorola-esque Ambient Display mode, along with other things similar to what we’ve already seen on other phones. One of the features we’d have liked to seen carried over to stock is one that companies like LG and HTC have had for a while – tap-to-wake.
