We all remember how Sony sold its VAIO PC business earlier this year to JIP, in an attempt to focus on mobile exclusively. As a result, we now have a Sony Corporation that launches Xperia smartphones, and there is also a separate VAIO Corporation, of which Sony still owns a small 5%.
