Sony Xperia Pro finally comes to the US market with an eye-watering $2,500 price tag

Almost a year after its official debut, the Xperia Pro has finally made it to the US shores. And for all its professional appeal and features, you’ll have to pay a bomb – $2,499.99. Sony says that the phone will be available to buy starting today from a handful of authorized dealers across the country. And in case you were wondering, it comes in a single black trim.

Inside, the Xperia Pro is virtually identical to the Xperia 1 II flagship that was launched last year. You get a 6.5-inch 4K (3840×1644 pixels) HDR OLED display with a tall 21: 9 aspect ratio. The phone itself can be used as a high-resolution viewfinder by connecting the phone with a high-end camera via the HDMI port. Yes, the Xperia Pro has an HDMI port at the bottom, sitting alongside the USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer.

And since the Sony offering also supports 5G in the US, the Xperia Pro will also allow you to livestream the footage being captured with the connected camera directly to platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. While mmWave 5G is fast enough for the aforesaid task, Sony has equipped the phone with a 360-degree antenna for better network reception, while the material used in the chassis allows radio waves to pass through more easily.

As for the rest of the Xperia Pro’s internal specifications, you get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC under the hood, paired with 12 gigs of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Plus, the onboard storage can be expanded via a microSD card up to 1TB. A 4,000mAh battery provides the juice.

Sony’s offering packs three 12MP cameras at the back (wide + ultrawide + telephoto), and you get support for features such as cinematic 24FPS video capture at 4K resolution. For selfies and video calls, the phone comes equipped with an 8MP snapper. Plus, the Sony Xperia Pro also offers an IP68-certified build.

HUAWEI considers sellings its P and Mate flagship phone brands: Report

Moving on to Huawei, the company has been doing some interesting moves in order for their US ban to continue affecting the successful mobile business they had. Recently the company sold their HONOR brand which, actually means that Honor can now launch phones with Google Mobile Services. Now, there’s a weird conflicting report from Reuters claiming that Huawei has been in talks to sell their P and Mate Series to a consortium of buyers. Apparently this is another government-backed consortium of investments firms from Shanghai and the talks have been going on for weeks, as Huawei is claimed to have started to internally explore the possibility of selling their brands as early as September. Now the conflicting twist is that Huawei themselves have refuted the report. They put out a statement saying that they have “learned of some rumors regarding the possible sale of their flagship brands, and they said that there is no merit to these rumors whatsoever. Huawei has no such plan”. The reason why we’re still covering this is because, something similar happened to Honor as it was tipped that the company was selling it, Huawei said it wasn’t, and we know how the story ended. So yeah, at the moment, the Mate and P Series are still huge in China but what the future holds is yet to be seen.

Samsung and Apple’s upcoming smartwatches might allow blood glucose monitoring

Let’s talk about Smart Watches for both Apple and Samsung as, it looks like both companies are looking to push new health-centric features in 2021. So far we’ve seen ECG, blood pressure measurements, blood oxygenation and more. Not all are entirely accurate, but they’re there. Now, it looks like the next big upgrade will be blood sugar or glucose measurement. According to an ETNews report, the Galaxy Watch Active 3 will employ a non-invasive technology to take your glucose level measurements, while using an optical sensor. When it comes to Cupertino, they will reportedly be using the same technology to offer this feature, and they have apparently filed the patents and they are doing testing for the accuracy and efficiency for the blood sugar monitor. This technology was showed off at CES by a Japanese company, and bringing it to the mainstream is good for everybody at the end of the day.

Sony will revive the Xperia Compact phone in 2021, and here’s how it looks

Now let’s talk compact smartphones. The iPhone 12 mini was an interesting experiment, but we’ve been hearing that they slowed down production to boost the Pros which have been doing far better. Now if you remember, Apple didn’t pioneer this market. It was Sony, and it seems the compact is making a comeback. We have some new renders from OnLeaks of an Xperia Compact. According to these renders, this phone brings a 5.5in display with a waterdrop notch and somewhat of a thick chin at the bottom. When it comes to the cameras, it’ll reportedly bring a dual module at the back with one of them being a 13MP sensor. Also, it’ll bring a dedicated camera shutter button, a headphone jack and the fingerprint sensor comes embedded in the power button. OnLeaks mentions that the phone will be a tad bigger than the iPhone 12 mini, even if the displays will be of almost the same size and it also looks like this is more of a mid-ranger when compared to the 12 mini. Imagine that, dedicated camera button and headphone jack on a mini phone.. Seriously how hard can that be?

Apple’s new AirTags could be getting closer to launch

Let’s keep talking about Apple and unreleased wearables, but this time with the ones we’re still waiting for, AirTags. We’ve been waiting for these Tile-like trackers for the longest time, with sources like Jon Prosser claiming that they are ready to go, but Apple has delayed them multiple times due to the pandemic. A couple of weeks ago, Evan Blass posted some pictures of the accessories that will be used to carry around the AirTags, like these Nomad leather keychains as well as a Glasses Holder, for you to be able to track your glasses. Now we have a new image from a tipster on Twitter, showing an AirTag holder allegedly made by Spigen which will be sold on Amazon. This is another keychain with a black design, and you can see the AirTag sticking out in the center. So again, AirTags are Apple’s upcoming trackers which will work like the Galaxy Smart Tags, and according to multiple sources like Ming Chi Kuo, they are set to launch but, we don’t really have a timeline as for when so we’ll just have to wait. It’s just interesting that what matters is not the bare airtag, but instead the accessories that would use them to become smarter.

Story of the day:

Samsung’s Exynos SoC with AMD GPU conquers Apple’s A14 Bionic in leaked benchmarks

And finally for the hottest news today let’s move on to Samsung and your favorite topic, their Exynos processors. I know, bad joke.. But bare with me, it seems this is about to change. A couple of weeks ago now we got the Galaxy S21 Series which comes with the Exynos 2100 in some regions. And in case you haven’t heard, Samsung abandoned their custom CPU cores to use ARM’s design, meaning that the Exynos 2100 can compete with the Snapdragon 888 when it comes to CPU prowess. Not necessarily the same story on graphics though, but that’s about to change. Samsung is partnering with AMD to power the next generation of Exynos chips and these may come sooner than expected to the market. A Korean publication allegedly has some benchmarks of Samsung’s unnamed new chips which should debut in 2022. Now, we should take these with a big grain of salt as, they didn’t provide any screenshots but, according to these numbers, the A14 Bionic should be scared. In the Manhattan benchmark it beat it by 60 frames at 181.8 fps, in the normal Aztec ruins it beat it by almost 60 frames again, and in high Aztec Ruins it still beat it by 28 fps. And we know, this is Apple’s processor for last year and we should expect some upgrades from the A15 but guys, this is Exynos we’re talking here. This could solve everyone’s problems with Exynos if AMD and Samsung execute it correctly.

Sony will revive the Xperia Compact phone in 2021, and here’s how it looks

I’m a small phone guy, and thanks to that preference, the Xperia Compact family of phones by Sony was a favorite of mine for many years. They were small, had terrific build quality, top-notch hardware, and offered a flagship experience in a pocketable form factor. Sony hasn’t launched a compact phone in a while now, but that is about to change in 2021. And thanks to leakster Steve H. (aka @OnLeaks via Voice), we already have our first glimpse of the upcoming Sony smartphone that will take on the likes of iPhone 12 Mini.

Xperia Compact name, 5.5-inch display, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor

The leaked Xperia Compact renders show a design that is a tad blocky, but it follows the same design language that Sony has been pushing on its phones for years. Over at the front, there is a 5.5-inch display with a waterdrop notch at the top and a thick chin at the bottom. The fingerprint sensor has been embedded in the power button, and there is a dedicated camera shutter button below it.

Dual rear cameras, an 8MP selfie snapper, and 3.5mm headphone jack

Talking about the cameras, there are two cameras at the back, one of which uses a 13MP sensor. Selfie and video calling duties will be handled by an 8MP front shooter. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Dimensions of the Xperia Compact are claimed to be 53x72x11.1mm, which means it will be bigger than the iPhone 12 Mini on all sides, despite packing a display of almost the same size.

Unfortunately, details about the phone’s internal hardware are quite slim, and we don’t even know if it will be a flagship phone – albeit a compact one – or a mid-ranger. Going by the design, my gut says this won’t be a high-end offering, but it will be enough to get compact phone fans excited. It is too early to predict if compact phones are back in the Android world, but the below-expectation shipment figures of iPhone 12 Mini might play a deterrent for other brands from taking the risk.

Here’s your first look at the upcoming Sony Xperia 10 III mid-ranger

Just in case you need some clarity amidst all the ‘LG quitting the smartphone business’ drama, Sony is still making phones – both flagships and mid-rangers. And one of its upcoming mid-range phones has just got the leal treatment ahead of the official debut. Leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka @OnLeaks has shared high-resolution renders of the Xperia 10 III, which as the name makes it abundantly clear, is a successor to the Xperia 10 II from 2020. But a quick look at the design of Sony’s upcoming phone will make you do double-check. Why?

Sony Xperia 10 III might go official next month

Well, the design remains virtually unchanged from its predecessor. Nonetheless, here are a few good things about the Xperia 10 III. It still has a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a physical fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button on the right edge that will likely be much faster than an in-display fingerprint scanning solution. The phone retains the signature tall-aspect ratio of the Xperia 10 II, and doesn’t look half-bad either. Plus, you get dual stereo speakers on the front, which is always a welcome addition.

Sony Xperia 10 III
Image: Voice / Steve H

On the front,  you’ll find a 6-inch display, likely with the familiar 21:9 ‘Cinematic’ aspect ratio. While the side bezels are fairly thin, there are still some thick black bars on the top and bottom, which doesn’t exactly look very premium for a 2021 phone, let alone a mid-ranger that will likely cost somewhere $500. The Xperia 10 III will reportedly feature an 8MP selfie camera as well. Unfortunately, other details about the internal hardware such as display attributes, camera megapixels, processor make, and battery capacity are still under the wraps.

Familiar design, triple rear cameras, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor

There are three cameras at the back, and water-resistance will be a part of the package as well. The leakster, however, mentions that the Sony Xperia 10 III (read as Xperia 10 Mark 3) will likely be launched in the upcoming weeks. Additionally, if the launch cycle of its predecessor is anything to go by, the Xperia 10 III might go official as early as next month.

Intel just announced their 11th Gen Core H Series of mobile chips which power gaming laptops based on a 10nm process, supporting up to 5GHz clock speeds, PCIe Gen 4, Thunderbolt 4 and more features. But, 10nm huh Intel? The Jabra Elite 85Ts which are some of my favorite earbuds just got 4 new colorways, including Gold, Copper, Black and Grey in case you were waiting for some variety. Fossil just announced the Gen 5 LTE which brings a 45mm sleek design and it now allows you to take calls directly on the smartwatch which is pretty nice for $349. AMD unleashes Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors

NVIDIA unveils RTX 30 series laptop GPUs and GeForce RTX 3060 desktop graphics

Let’s keep talking about CES, we know that a lot of you guys like when we cover PC parts and well Nvidia and AMD are back at it again. Starting with AMD, they just unveiled their Ryzen 5000 Series of mobile processors, these are divided into 2 families, the H and the U Series. The H Series is targeted at gaming enthusiasts in both 6 and 8 core variants with peak clock speeds of 4.8GHz, interesting considering Intel is pushing 5GHz. When it comes to the U Series, these are aimed at ultra-books and the rest of mass market laptops, these range from 4 to 8 cores, with pretty much the same base specs as some of the H Series but only pushing up to 4.4GHz. AMD is looking at 23% higher single threaded performances and up to a 17% increase in multi-threaded performances. Moving on to Nvidia, the company just revealed the RTX 30 Series laptop GPUs and a RTX 3060 desktop GPU. These are based on their 3rd Gen Max Q technology, offering up to 2x ray tracing output, and the new tensor cores are claimed to be 2x more capable. Overall Nvidia is aiming at higher efficiency, better performance and refined acoustics here. Over 70 laptops with the RTX 30 Series will debut this month alone, so you can check out all of the specifics in the links below. For a minute there I was like – are we sure about that number or is it 7? But nope, 70 laptops.

HONOR announces MagicBook Pro, HONOR Band 6

Sticking to CES, let’s move on to Honor as, we know that the company went independent form Huawei a couple of months ago and they just announced their upcoming flagship products. First off we got the Honor MagicBook Pro which brings a 16.1in display with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. It’s powered by a 10th Gen Intel processor, along with 16GB of dual channel DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD, when it comes to cooling it brings dual fans and dual heat pipes. It includes Bluetooth 5.0, an HDMI port, 3 USB A ports and a USB C port, as well as a headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor. It apparently charges up to 50% in just 30 minutes. Now, moving on to wearables we also got the Honor Band 6 which features a 1.47in AMOLED Display, supporting 10 workout modes and 14 days of battery life. It brings 5 ATM water resistance and it brings a heart rate monitor, oxygen monitor, sleep and stress monitor and even a female cycle tracker. It comes in three color variants including Meteorite Black, Sandstone Grey and Coral Pink. Sadly we didn’t get word on price tags yet but it should be on global markets very soon.

Is this the new design of the 2021 iPad Pro refresh?

Now let’s talk about Apple and particularly iPads as it does seem that Cupertino is planning an aggressive push here. Lately there’s been a ton of rumors on the upcoming iPads as, we’re expecting a refresh to the regular iPad and we’re supposed to get mini-LED displays on the Pros very soon. Now, we have some new CAD renders of both iPad Pro models coming from 91Mobiles and MySmartPrice. Starting with the bigger model, it looks like it’s bringing pretty much the same design language as the current model with the boxy design and the single USB-C port as well as the smart connector for the keyboard. The camera is still a dual module along with the LiDAR sensor. When it comes to the 11in version, it also looks like its predecessor which we got back in 2020 but, apparently it’s going to be a couple of millimeters thinner and shorter. The CAD renders also show that we might be getting a Touch ID sensor similar to the one on the iPad Air, and you can also notice it on the renders for the 12.9in iPad. We’re expecting these iPads some time this year, running on a variant of the A13 or A14 Bionic, along with a mini-LED display. It clearly seems that iPad sales are up given the pandemic if Apple plans to make a broader push and even bring a more aggressive price tag.

Story of the day:

Samsung Galaxy S21 retail box leak confirms the absence of a charger

Samsung unveils the 5nm-based Exynos 2100 flagship SoC that will power the Galaxy S21

Let’s start with something official as Samsung just posted the full teaser for the S21 Series which is captioned “Welcome to the Everyday Epic”. It teases a lot of camera capabilities, mainly video, low light and zoom. It shows the silhouette of the device and some software tricks as well. Sticking to what’s official, the company just announced the Exynos 2100 which will power the S21 depending on your region. It is a 5G-ready chip based on a 5nm process and a tri-cluster core design allowing for a 30% increase in multi-core performance and 40% boost in graphics performance. It allows some crazy tricks like handling 6 cameras and 200MP resolution output, as well as handling 4K panels at up to 120Hz, or QHD+ at 144Hz but, we won’t bore you with specifics, we’ll have a specific link for this in the description. Back to the S21, we have some new posters showing off the design yet again, as well as teasing the 5G capabilities, the storage tiers and the camera. Now, the poster getting the most headlines is the one showing off the box and as you can see, it’s very thin. Meaning it’s pretty much official that we won’t be getting a charger or headphones this year. Go Green! And remember, you can already register for the S21 and get some perks, in the first link in the description. So yeah, with that teaser and all of the other posters, seriously what’s left?

Almost a year after its launch, Sony Xperia Pro 5G might finally come to the US market

So, Sony launched the sleek Xperia 1 II flagship all the way back in February and it hit the US soil rather late in June. But if you remember, Sony also launched another flagship alongside the Xperia 1 II called the Xperia Pro 5G that offered mmWave 5G support and had some extra camera-centric chops. Well, it appears that the Xperia Pro 5G is finally ready to hit the US shores soon, but ten months too late following its launch.

It will most likely cost over $1000

Now, we don’t know a date as to when the Xperia Pro 5G will go on pre-order or starts shipping. B&H has currently listed the status as “Coming Soon”, and is asking users to sign up to get notified when it eventually goes on sale or the pre-orders go live for customers in the US. So yeah, your guess is as good as ours in this case. Now, there is no information about how much it will burn from your wallet, but it will most likely cost north of $1,000 if the Xperia 1 II’s asking price is any indication.

Talking about the device itself, the Xperia Pro 5G comes equipped with a 6.5-inch 4K (3840×1644 pixels) HDR OLED display with a tall 21: 9 aspect ratio. The IP68-rated device is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC ticking alongside 12GB of RAM and 512 gigs of onboard storage that can further be expanded using a microSD card of up to 1TB capacity. A 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging keeps the lights on.

In the imaging department, you get a trio of 12MP sensors (wide + ultra-wide + telephoto) cameras at the back that offer up to 3x optical zoom output and can shoot cinematic 24 FPS (25/30/60 FPS options also available) videos at 4K resolution. An 8MP camera on the front handles selfies and video calls.

What separates the Xperia Pro 5G from the Xperia 1 II is its 360-degree 5G antenna system that is more efficient at picking up mmWave 5G signals. Notably, the Sony offering has an HDMI port at the bottom and can be connected to a professional camera to serve as a hi-res 4K monitor. When used as a monitor, the device offers controls such as brightness, pinch to zoom, and grid lines.

Also, when it is connected to a camera, the device can also be used to directly stream videos over a 5G network. Sony says that the wired connection between the phone and a professional camera also makes the process of file transfer much faster.

You already know how it goes, let’s begin today’s deals with some M1 Macs, as I can recommend those blindly. If you’re looking for a MacBook Pro, the 13in M1 model is $69 off, leaving the 256GB of storage one for $1230 shipped. The Mac Mini is a $60 off, leaving it at just $639 but, these offers are for today only so move quick. If you’re looking for a OnePlus smartphone, the brand new 8T is available for around $20 off, leaving the 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, Lunar Silver variant for $730. If you’re looking for a Samsung device, those trade-in deals are still available, meaning you can still get the Z Fold 2 for $1000 or the Galaxy Note 20 Series for as low as $450 but, you need an eligible device for trade-in. Finally, if you’re in the market for a Pixel, the 3 XL is available for just $399 on Amazon for the 128GB of storage mode. We have more deals on Apple Watches, Garmin Watches and other Samsung products in the following links.

Sony pulls Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store, offers refund to disgruntled players

Let’s move on to Cyberpunk as, the game finally rolled out but, it’s no secret that the developers were eventually rushed to put this out, resulting in a lot of bugs, and I mean a lot, especially for previous gen consoles. So much so that one of the biggest stories this weekend was how Sony ended pulling it from the PlayStation Store due to complaints from angry players for PS4. SIE also put out a statement saying that “they strive to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore they will begin to offer a full refund for the gamers that purchased Cyberpunk through the PlayStation Store and that they will be removing it until further notice.” Once they get confirmation that you purchased it through them, the refund processing will begin and, it is also available for the Xbox One version. Apparently there was some issues with the main partners so, if you have an Xbox the refund process might not be so smooth for you. Some of the bugs include very choppy frame rates, screen tearing, weird physics in general throughout the game, or even players disappearing or just showing up out of the blue. So yeah, one of the most anticipated games ever has become a fiasco, and seriously, I wouldn’t want my money back, just fix the damn game!

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirms a smartwatch is coming early next year

Now let’s talk OnePlus as last week we talked about how Pete Lau went on an interview and confirmed the possibility of a OnePlus Watch. Well, it looks like it’s almost a done deal now. Pete just went on Twitter earlier today and said “Many of you said you wanted a watch and as you might’ve heard, we’re making one and it will be released early next year”. Last week we talked about how they want to achieve a more seamless connection between the Watch and other OnePlus products, kind of like the Apple Ecosystem and this makes it seem like they have actually made some progress. A OnePlus Watch was certified in Singapore about a month ago and it’ll apparently bring a Circular Dial, a design language that goes along with those sketches that date back years ago and of course, it will run on Wear OS with an Oxygen OS skin on it. We’ll see how early in the year we get it if it’s a silent release or if we’ll have to wait until the OnePlus 9 Series.

Apple among the first in industry to reap the benefits of TSMC’s 3nm process: Report

Now let’s switch gears to Apple and seriously talk about just how aggressive the company has been lately. We know that Apple was the first company to announce 5nm chips with the iPad Air, iPhone 12 with the A14 Bionic and even the M1 Macs, and it looks like TSMC doesn’t plan to slow down. According to a new report from the United Daily News, Cupertino might also be the first in the industry to offer computer and smartphone chips based on a 3nm process. The report claims that Apple was the first to get in touch with them about the 3nm fabrication process as they want to rely on this new process for the next-gen M Series Chips as well as the A-Series that will go in iPads and iPhones. Now, where it gets kind of bittersweet is where we hear that it will most likely go into mass production until 2022 but don’t worry, next year’s products will most likely bring a 4nm process which will reportedly be announced in 2021. So yeah, it looks like TSMC should already be prepping their next 4nm processors but, Apple is already looking further down the road.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 leaked in all its glory

Samsung First Look 2021 event set for Jan 6; could include new display tech and products

I know, we’re getting closer to Galaxy Unpacked where we’re expecting the S Series but, we thought that was going to be Samsung’s first event of 2021 but that won’t be the case. The company just put out press invitations and a teaser for their “First Look of 2021” Event which will be livestreamed on January 6th on their website. The teaser shows the silhouettes of different products, mainly displays which serves as a pretty good hint on what we’re getting. Samsung hasn’t really revealed anything but rumors hint to them introducing new MicroLED, miniLED, 4K and 8K QLED TVs at this event. Another thing that we might be getting is the new Galaxy Chromebook, to follow up on what we got at this year’s CES. This Chromebook was leaked over the weekend by Evan Blass, showing some official-looking renders of the device. It looks very similar to the previous model but it brings re-arranged ports and different color patterns. The biggest change will most likely be the internals according to Evan, with a new Intel Chip as well as a built-in fan. We’ll see if we get at least a teaser of the S21 at this event as we’re supposed to be getting it some time in January.

                            Story of the day:

Samsung Galaxy S21 series pricing leaked again, and it is both good and bad news

Don’t expect the Samsung Galaxy S21 to come with a power adapter

And finally the hottest news today have to do with, you guessed it, Samsung, and the event we were expecting, which is their possible Galaxy Unpacked. Yesterday we covered some leaked price tags along with official renders of the Ultra from Evan Blass. Today we have a little bit more of that as well as some other information. Let’s begin on a hilarious note as, if you remember last month we covered how some certifications pointed to the S21 Series not bringing a charger or headphones in the box. Well, over the weekend, Samsung deleted their posts mocking Apple over removing the iPhone 12’s charger and how they didn’t bring 120Hz refresh rate to the iPhone. So, last time we talked about them the posts were actually still there but.. They’re not any more so, it looks like that’s a done deal. Moving on from that, let’s talk price tags once again. Yesterday we talked about US price tags but now we get some for the European market from Winfuture which also add to the ones we got yesterday. According to these leaks, the S21 will start at €849, the S21+ will start at €1049, with the S21 Ultra starting at €1349, all for 128GB of storage. Now, these are both good and bad, good because they’re still cheaper than what we got for the S20, it’s a serious price difference for the European market which really doesn’t get the same chip we get in the US

Sony pulls Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store, offers refund to disgruntled players

In what can be called a not-very-surprising move, Sony has decided to pull Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. Yes, it was due to complaints of disgruntled players who came across way too many bugs on the PlayStation 4 version of the game. Ever since the game’s launch, it became apparent that the PC version and the build released for next-gen consoles (read: PlayStation and Xbox Series S/X) was much better compared to the experience you get on the PS4 and Xbox One. Even CD Projekt Red’s business development SVP, Michal Nowakowski, had to admit in an investor call that the game was not well-optimized for the previous-gen consoles.

Refunds can be availed for Xbox One version too

“SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice,” said Sony’s statement on the PlayStation Store. “Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.”

To recall, CD Projekt Red recently announced that it would offer refunds to players who were dissatisfied with how the game performed, but the actual process of claiming the refund left many frustrated. It was later revealed that CD Project Red’s decision to offer refunds was not actually cleared by the two main distributing partners at the time – Sony and Microsoft. With Sony officially throwing in the towel and promising players a refund, the process of getting your money back will likely be a lot smoother.

Choppy frame rates, screen-tearing, and weird-game physics were among the issues reported by Cyberpunk 2077 players who experienced it on the PS4 and Xbox One. Some of the glaring differences between the PC and console experience even became the butt of jokes online and have now been immortalized as memes in the gaming community. Remember #Cyberbug2077 trending on Twitter?

Criticism aside, it is unclear when Cyberpunk 2077 will be back on the PlayStation Store. CD Projekt Red has already revealed that it will release two large patches – one in January and the second in February – that will fix some of the biggest performance issues that players came across in Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones with NC are down from $350 to $278 (21% off)

In August, Sony launched the successor to its acclaimed WH-1000XM3 noise-canceling headphones. The Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones were unveiled with a price tag of $350. Now, on the occasion of Black Friday, the device has received a price cut of 21%, which has brought the price down to $278. If you are looking for the best noise-canceling pair of headphones, these are one of the best in business.

Sony has kept the design of WH-1000XM4 the same, but the company has made a host of changes. The new headphones use a new Bluetooth SoC that senses noise at over 700 times per second for more effective noise cancellation. Plus, the Edge-AI employs DSEE Extreme to rebuild “audio lost during digital compression for a full-fidelity experience.” These also bring 360 Reality Audio for a more immersive sound experience when paired with a smartphone.

                            Sony WH-1000XM4

The headphones come with a “speak-to-chat” feature that automatically pauses the music playback and allows in the ambient sound as soon as uses speakers speak something, letting them have a conversation. There’s a “Quick Attention” feature that lets users put their right hand over the earcup to decrease the volume and let in ambient sound. These also come with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa onboard.

The Sony WH-1000XM4 also include multi-device pairing that lets them connect with two devices at once and automatically pick the right device that is ringing. Users also get a one-tap device switching convenience. These can deliver 30 hours of battery life, while charging them for 10 minutes can give you 5 hours of playback.

The official news today begin with deals, but just a heads up, we’re gonna spend the next couple of shows focusing a lot on these in more than one segment, as there is just too much given the holidays. For all you Samsung fans in the audience, this one is for you as these continue to be crazy deals if you have an eligible device to trade in. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is available for the same $1000 we mentioned yesterday, but now in both color options and the customizable hinge. The Note 20 Ultra is available for $550 and the regular Note 20 for a crazy $250. Moving on to the S Series, you can get the S20 for $390, the S20+ for $540 and the Ultra for $740, might makes them a tough pick given the crazy deal for the Note 20 Ultra. To end with Samsung, you can also get the S20 FE for $140 so, again, all these deals apply if you have an eligible device to trade in. Sticking to Samsung and their trade-ins, the Galaxy Watch 3 is also available for $140 and the Titanium version is available for $300. Pretty much half of for both of them. We also have deals on the Galaxy Buds, the Watch Active 2 and more in the description.

Samsung Chromebooks, Razer gaming accessories, and more on sale

Now let’s continue with segment 2, as companies keep rolling with the fact that we shouldn’t have to wait until Black Friday to get some good stuff. Let’s begin with audio products, starting with Sony’s new WH Mark 4 over the ear headphones which are $72 off, that leaves them for $278 shipped on Amazon. If you want earbuds, the WF Mark 3s are available for $62 off, that leaves those for $168 shipped. Sony’s Amazon Exclusive variant for some other over the ear headphones with a really complicated name are also $112 off, leaving those for a crazy $88 shipped. Finally, Amazon and Razer are going at it with their own Black Friday sale. For example. The Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard, which is one of my favorites, is $50 off, leaving it at $150. The Deathadder V2 is $20 off meaning you can get it for $50 and there’s a ton more in the links in the description, along with other Chromebook deals. No worries, I know you’re also looking forward to Apple deals, so tune in throughout the week as we’ll have those also detailed in one of the segments.

POCO M3 with 6000mAh battery, SD 662 SoC debuts in Europe

Now let’s switch to official news as another company having a great year is clearly POCO. They’ve done multiple launches so far, and today is yet another day for that. The company is back at it again as they just launched the new M3. It features a 6.53in FHD+ display, it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage. It runs Android 10 out of the box, and it also brings other features like dual speakers, a headphone jack (yes, that’s a feature now) and a dual SIM slot. Now, when it comes to the cameras, you get a triple lens setup that consists of a 48MP main sensor along with two 2MP sensors and the module kinda looks like the one on the Cyberpunk Edition of the OnePlus 8T. Why should you know about it? Well it sports a crazy 6000 mAh battery. What’s even crazier is that all that starts for just the equivalent of $149 but, you can get it for $129 this Black Friday.

The Galaxy Z Flip2 will not be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S21, will launch after Q1 instead

Now let’s switch gears to Samsung, but this time for the usual batch of rumors that typically happens when we’re already close to a launch. There’s been multiple reports and hints that the Galaxy S line will launch very early in the year, either January or February (more on that later). But, another product we’re expecting to come out with the S line is the next Z Flip but it looks like that won’t be the case. According to a new report from the Elec, we will be getting the Z Flip 2 until after Q1 and it won’t be joining the S21 line for January’s Unpacked Event. Apparently one reason this could happen is because Samsung is trying to spread out their device launches to keep them from driving sales to each one, especially since we won’t be getting a Note next year as, the S21 Ultra and the Z Fold 3 are getting an S Pen. Sammy will reportedly have 6M S21’s ready for the initial batch, the same as last year because Samsung is expecting foldables to drive more sales. Now, I wonder how they plan to get more sales, if not by dropping the price tag. We’ll see.

                            Story of the day:

Samsung Galaxy S21 has received BIS certification

And finally, the hottest news today have to do with Samsung, again, but more specifically on more details that pertain to the Samsung Galaxy S21 line. We keep getting more clues that this device will launch earlier than expected. The Galaxy S21 was recently certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards, which makes it pretty evident that Samsung is gearing up for that launch. Sadly, this exact certification does not give us any details on the phone internals and only the regular S21 appeared in the database. However, let’s still recap on the Ultra’s leaked specs as it’s probably going to be the one stealing all of the headlines. We’re expecting a 6.8in WQHD+ display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 875 or the Exynos 2100, a 5000 mAh battery, running One UI 3.1 with 5G and all the bells and whistles you could expect. When it comes to the cameras, you’re getting the 108MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra wide, and a two 10MP lenses, one with 3X optical zoom and one with 10X. And of course, this phone is also rumored to bring S Pen support. We’re expecting the event to happen some time around January 14th and the launch around the 29th.
