You, not Government, should hold the kill switch to your smartphone

There’s a widespread push for a “kill switch” that would supposedly enable law enforcement to track and disable a stolen cell phone. There are even some States that are trying to mandate this functionality by law. I find all this curious since we’ve had the ability to remotely lock, disable, and even wipe our devices for the last few years.
