Amazon Prime day sale is all set to take place on October 13 and 14. The sale kicks off at 12 AM PT on Tuesday, October 13 and will run through till 11:59 PM PT Wednesday, October 14. Ahead of the sale, HONOR has already announced its offers on its HONOR 9X Pro smartphone and wearables, which include smartwatches and earbuds.

The HONOR Watch ES offers 95 workout modes as opposed to 86 on the Huawei model. It has a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 456 x 280 pixels 326ppi, and 70% screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, it comes with 12 animated workout courses that cover activities such as abs workout and shoulder pain relief exercises. It is claimed to last up to 10 days on a single charge. The company says it can be charged from 0-100% battery level in just 100 minutes, with the first 70% coming in just 30 minutes.

It is priced at INR 7,499 and will be made available through Amazon.in starting October 17.

On the other hand, the HONOR Watch GS Pro It features a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display, MIL-STD-810G certification, HiSilicon Kirin A1 chipset, GPS, built-in speaker and mic for calls. It comes with a rugged design with 316L stainless steel bezel, high-precision metal finishing technology.

It offers navigation capabilities including a GPS Route Back Function to guide you safely back to your starting point, as well as weather alerts and sunrise and sunset notifications, ideal for ambitious adventurers on longer treks. Additionally, it supports more than 100 workout modes including mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, indoor and outdoor running and more.

The HONOR Watch GS Pro is priced at INR 17,999 and will be made available through Flipkart starting October 16.

HONOR Hunter series gaming laptops bring NVIDIA RTX 2060 and 10th Gen Intel i7

HONOR was rumored to be working on its gaming-focused laptops. It teased the launch of the Hunter series. Now, the laptops are official. The company is stepping into the gaming laptop segment with the launch of HONOR Hunter gaming laptops. The first device from the news series is a high-end Hunter V700. It is focused on gamers who want best performance in a portable form factor.

The HONOR Hunter V700 has focused on both gaming aesthetics and heat management with its design. Its body is made from an anodized aluminum alloy body. Moreover, the Hunter logo on the rear panel lights up, and so do the keyboard and air vents that also have LEDs that light up the base. All of these can be controlled and customized. The laptop is just 19.9mm thick but still comes with thermal management capabilities.

HONOR Hunter Gaming laptop

The HONOR Hunter Gaming V700 laptops series is powered by Intel‘s 10th gen processors – the i5-10300H or the i7-10750H. There are three variants that arrive with 16GB of dual channel RAM, with either 512GB or 1TB worth of NVMe SSD storage. You get to choose between NVIDIA‘s GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and the RTX 2060 for graphics.

The Hunter laptop features a 16.1-inch display that is surrounded by narrow 4.7mm bezels. It comes with a 144Hz refresh rate and supports 100 percent sRBG color gamut. Plus, it supports WiFi 6 for better connectivity during online gaming. As for audio, the new gaming laptop features nahimic 3D surround sound audio, which is said to help make the gaming experience more immersive. It packs a 56Wh battery.

Both the new laptops get an AMD Ryzen 4000 series CPU upgrade, with the HONOR MagicBook Pro opting for the more powerful Ryen 5 4600H CPU while the non-Pro models go with the Ryzen 5 4500U mobile processor.

HONOR MagicBook Pro

The HONOR MagicBook Pro flaunts a sleek aluminum build and comes equipped with a 16.1-inch FHD display that covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and comes with TÜVRheinlandFlicker Free certification. The device has slim bezels which help it achieve an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90%. It draws power from the AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor that ticks alongside dual-channel 16GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD

Honor MagicBook Pro

Notably, the HONOR MagicBook Pro comes equipped with a 56Wh battery that supports 65W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. HONOR says the device can go from 0 to 50% percent in just 30 minutes. Just like the HONOR MagicBook Pro, the vanilla MagicBooks also feature a pop-up camera positioned beneath in one of the function keys and also has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button

Honor MagicBook 15

HONOR MagicBook 14 and 15 are powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor paired with 8GB/16GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB/512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD. Notably, the bigger MagicBook packs a 42Wh battery, while its smaller 14-inch sibling packs a 56Wh battery, with both the devices offering support for 65W Type-C fast charging. The HONOR MagicBook 14 goes on sale starting September 21 priced at €749.9 (£669.99), while the 15-inch model will be up for grabs priced at €899.9 (£849.99) September 8 onwards. There are only two color options on the table – Mystic Silver and Space Gray.

HUAWEI is touting a 25 day battery life for the HONOR Watch GS Pro, which is way higher than what you get from a Wear OS-powered smartwatch or an Apple Watch. The wearable has a MIL-STD-810G certified build and comes with a built-in dual navigation system (GPS + GLONASS) that facilitates a Route Back feature. Additionally, it supports up to 100 workout modes for activities and has a host of your usual smartwatch sensors to monitor the health and vital body stats.

HONOR Watch GS Pro 

The HONOR Watch GS Pro features a round 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels that translates to a pixel density of 326ppi. The watch comes with 5ATM water resistance rating and is claimed to last up to 25 days on a single charge with basic usage. But with GPS enabled, the battery life drops to 38 hours, while enabling the outdoor workout mode will provide up to 100 hours of usage time on a single charge. Talking about the aforementioned 100 workout modes, they include activities such as triathlon, outdoor running, skiing, and trail running among others.

There are a host of other useful features as well such as voice broadcasts to automatically detect and record workout activities, the ability to shoot photos from a connected phone via the watch, Bluetooth calling, and weather forecasts. Talking about the sensors, you get a heart rate sensor with 24/7 tracking and a SpO2 monitor to measure blood oxygen saturation level. Plus, the HONOR Watch GS Pro can also measure sleep cycle as well as stress levels using the in-house TruRelax tech.

The HONOR Watch is a more affordable option that is targeted at users who are looking to purchase their first smartwatch. The new HONOR offering has an elongated rectangular AMOLED display that measures 1.64-inch diagonally. The device is just 10.7mm thick and has and features a 30mm watch frame to offer a comfortable fit without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. The touchscreen display has a resolution of 456 x 280 pixels and supports six always-on watch faces. Plus, this one also comes with 5ATM water resistance rating. It is claimed to last up to 10 days on a single charge and can be topped up from 0-100% battery level in just 100 minutes, with the first 70% coming in just 30 minutes.

HONOR will soon launch Hunter Gaming Laptop series, logo revealed

HONOR is all set to introduce a new series of gaming laptops called Hunter. The company has revealed its logo. It will mark HONOR’s entry into the laptop gaming market. The Hunter series is the official brand name.

HONOR Hunter series’ logo was shared through an official image poster on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. The teaser comes with the words “Hunter is coming”. The launch is likely to take place soon. Earlier, a senior official had revealed that the company’s first gaming laptop will feature great heat dissipation capabilities.

Not a lot about the Hunter series is known at the moment. However, it is said to be  “a lot thinner than expected.” We can expect more information to be announced soon as the launch nears.

Honor confirms IFA 2020 attendance and a September 4 event

The coronavirus has made the world change in many ways. Some of the year’s most meaningful events were canceled or delayed, while others managed to take place as virtual events. This year’s IFA event is scheduled to take place between September 3 and September 5, and it seems that we may start to see physical events once again.

Several companies have started to confirm their attendance at the next IFA 2020 event. Honor has confirmed it will hold a press conference on September 4, where it will introduce several new products, such as smart bands, personal computers, tablets, and maybe a smartphone. Honor joins RealMe, LG, TCL, and Huawei, which have also confirmed their participation. Qualcomm may be responsible for the opening keynote to present its plans for Q4. Now, we will have to see if more companies join the event as time passes, just don’t expect Samsung to attend.

HONOR has launched two entry-level smartphones in India – the HONOR 9A and HONOR 9S. The HONOR 9A features a 6.3-inch HD+ display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. You get three cameras at the back, with the main snapper using a 13MP sensor, accompanied by a 5MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

It sports an 8MP camera on the front, and a large 5,000mAh battery keeps the lights on. It costs Rs 9999 and will be available from Amazon.in starting from August 6. For the first sale it will be available for Rs 8999.

HONOR 9S

On the other hand, the HONOR 9S features a 5.45-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) 18:9 HD+ display. It is powered by the same MediaTek P22 SoC. It packs a 3,020mAh battery and 2GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB. It costs Rs 6499 and will be available from Flipkart starting from August. For the first sale it will be available for Rs. 5999.
