Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is now at its lowest price yet for Black Friday

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order only released at the start of November, but already Tesco is offering the game for just £40 for Black Friday – the lowest price we've seen yet. (Not in the UK? Scroll down for today's best Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order deals in your region.

You can pick up the PS4 or Xbox One version of Fallen Order for £10 off the RRP. It's a great deal considering how new the game is, and given that we haven't seen the price drop below £45 until now.

In our Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order review, we said: "Fallen Order is the definition of a mixed bag, a muddy combination of trending influences with some that land and others that fall way short of the mark. The combat system at its core is impeccable fun and we struggled to put the game down, but the rest of the experience feels very disparate and bloated, and the downtime will always leave you longing for more of the brilliant moments of action."

This saving on the new 16-inch MacBook Pro is storming Black Friday

New 16-inch MacBook Pro Black Friday deals in the US and UK are cutting the price of the latest Pro instalment in time for the weekend. We rarely see discounts on Apple products this young out the gate, so if you've been eyeing up Apple's latest luxury laptop you'll want to jump on these fantastic prices before they disappear.

Don't think you have to settle on an older MacBook model for a great Black Friday deal this year. This 16-inch MacBook Pro was only released to the public this month, which means you're getting fantastic savings on Apple's most up to date hardware. While it's certainly not cheap, Black Friday can take the edge off a seriously high-performance laptop this weekend.

There are massive specs on offer here, all working together to deliver blisteringly fast speeds even down to its most humble configuration (if you can call a 6-core 9th gen i9 processor humble). Keeping all that power in place is a larger than usual 16-inch shell also sporting an improved Retina display. You're also getting the largest battery capacity of any MacBook ever released - and from the configurations on offer, it sounds like it needs it.

You'll find around $200 / £120 off this luxury laptop below, but if you're curious about other MacBook Black Friday deals, we've been rounding them up all weekend to bring you the best sales.

The 2019 MacBook Air is still on sale, and it’s still the best Mac deal around

There’s a new MacBook Air in town, and it’s better than ever. Not only is it thinner, lighter and more stylish, but it’s also brandishing built-in Touch ID and a Retina display. So if you’ve been looking for a thin and light stunner to do all your casual computing on, now’s definitely the time to buy. Especially with the killer Cyber Monday MacBook deal at Micro Center that lets you own it for cheaper.

Rocking an Intel Core i5 processor, paired with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage space, perfect for casual users, you can pick up this MacBook Air configuration for only $779 at Micro Center. To take advantage of this Cyber Monday laptop deal, you do have to make a trek to your nearest Micro Center (if you're lucky enough to have one nearby). But, seeing as this is the best Mac deal around, the trip is absolutely worth it.

Before you make the trip, however, make sure that the MacBook Air is the right one for you. It’s designed specifically for casual, everyday computing tasks. Think doing emails, surfing the web and streaming videos. Perhaps you can get away with some light photo editing work. However, this isn’t a MacBook Pro, which means it won’t be enough if you plan on doing video editing or AutoCAD design.

Not that this model does come with the oft-maligned Butterfly keyboard that was swapped out in the newest MacBook Pro – though Apple will replace it if anything bad happens. At the end of the day, if you're just looking for a sleek laptop for school or home, that you can show off in your local Starbucks, you can't go wrong here.

Runners assemble! The Bose SoundSport earbuds are half price in Black Friday deal

If you love working out, you'll know how important a great pair of running headphones are – and the Bose SoundSport in-ear headphones are among the best you can buy.

Thanks to a great Amazon Black Friday deal, you can currently get them for just 50% of the original RRP – that's a saving of £45, bringing the price down to £44.95. (Not in the UK? Scroll down for the best Bose SoundSport prices in your region).

Today's best Bose SoundSport deals

While we haven't tested this particular model, Bose has a reputation for delivering great audio, even through compact in-ear headphones – that's why we gave their noise-canceling Bose QC 30 neckbuds four out of five stars in our review

If you need your power song to push you through that extra mile, then the Bose SoundSport In-Ear headphones might give you that extra force you’re looking for. With the unmistakable sound signature of the audio heavyweight, these lightweight earbuds feature a comfortable and secure fit thanks to the StayHear+ tips.

These running earbuds come in two varieties; one optimized for Android phones, and one designed for Apple devices. The design of each version doesn't differ, but the inline remote on the Android model won't be able control your calls if you use it with an iPhone, and vice versa.

Coming in charcoal, green, and bright red, these earbuds are made with working out in mind, boasting security-enhancing earfins and eartips that are designed to "conform to your ear's shape," according to Bose.

Bose also says that the SoundSport In-Ear headphones are "sweat and weather-resistant," although they don't offer an IPX waterproof rating – they should be able to withstand a little moisture though.

iPhone XR with Nintendo Switch offer shows why not all Black Friday deals are worth it

"Do you want to get an iPhone XR and FREE Nintendo Switch with one special Black Friday offer?". If your stock answer to this question is "YES...gimme gimme gimme!" then we'd offer a slight word of caution - all that glitters is not necessarily gold.

And we've just come across an offer that proves this notion absolutely. Mobile retailer Fonehouse is usually a reliable purveyor of excellent value offers, and so when we noticed that it was offering an iPhone XR with 100GB of data with nothing to pay upfront and a free games console into the bargain, we were primed to tell you to grab your debit card.

But then we noticed that the monthly bills would set you back £46. And then we remembered that Fonehouse has the exact same tariff elsewhere on its site (sans Switch) for only £34 per month. That's a massive £360 more affordable than the 'special' Black Friday offer, which we doubt you need us to tell you is way more than the cost of a Nintendo Switch.

Going for Fonehouse's bundled offer does of course mean you can spread the cost of both major tech purchases over easy-to-mange interest free monthly payments for the next two years. But you will end up paying significantly more in the process. So it's entirely up to you...

Intel turns to Samsung for help keeping up with AMD, rumor claims

It's only fair to share...Share on RedditShare on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Tumblr

Intel has allegedly found a solution, or at least part of one, for its long-running supply issues with CPUs – which the firm admitted would be ongoing in a recent statement – and that solution is to enlist Samsung to help make more chips.

This is according to Pulse News Korea (as highlighted by Tech Powerup), and as ever with rumors, we need to tread with caution – although in the aforementioned statement, Intel did specifically state that “we are increasing our use of foundries … to produce more Intel CPU products” (as well as Intel expanding its own manufacturing capacity).

Rather than going to the likes of TSMC – which is used extensively by rival AMD, and apparently has little breathing room or capacity for taking on extra business right now – Intel has seemingly turned to Samsung’s fabs for help in making desktop processors, according to the report which cites the usual industry sources.

Intel’s statement of last week, which apologized for the impact CPU shipment delays have had on PC manufacturers, appeared to pre-empt several complaints from major PC vendors that have emerged this week, including HP and Dell (along with Asus previously).

As Anandtech reports, Jeffrey Clarke, COO of Dell, delivered the following rather sharp statement: “Intel CPU shortages have worsened quarter-over-quarter. The shortages are now impacting our commercial PC and premium consumer PC Q4 forecasted shipments.”

Cause for concern

While we’ve been hearing a lot in recent times about how AMD is dominating with its new Ryzen 3000 processors in the desktop arena, Intel is still firmly in control when you look at the overall CPU market, which includes the large number of laptops and business PCs that are still Intel-powered in the majority.

However, if Intel is letting the major OEMs down to the point where they are coming out and making statements like the one from Dell above, which definitely aren’t beating around the bush – that’s obviously a cause for concern.

Particularly now this situation has gone on for so long, with Intel’s issues in failing to produce enough 14nm processors going way back to last year (and all being tied in with the equally dire struggle to achieve viable yields in 10nm, in order to progress from 14nm).

So this report has something of a ring of truth about it given the overall picture, and perhaps at this point, it’s unlikely Intel really cares how CPU production is upped – but just that it has to be ramped up, and quickly, before the confidence of big manufacturers really starts to ebb.

We're pretty well-trained at spotting Amazon's blink-and-you'll-miss-them Black Friday Lightning Deals. And the mega retailer thought it was going to get this massive iPhone X price drop past us, then it was sorely mistaken!

When the iPhone X arrived two years ago to celebrate Apple's 10-year anniversary, it once again seemed to change the perception of what could be achieved with smartphone design...and pricing. A couple of years on and a few new iPhone iterations under the bridge, and the iPhone X now feels like an affordable entry-point into Apple's next-gen smartphones.

Get in there quick, and you could bag the iPhone X from Amazon for £619 now and have it with you by this time tomorrow. It's the cheapest we've ever seen the phone and shaves £130 off Amazon's usual price. Or, put another way, almost £300 cheaper than its original RRP on launch.

Not the deal for you, then you could consult our:

This incredible iPhone X price cut from Amazon

What's good about the iPhone X?

Yes, it is no longer Apple's newest handset but the iPhone X is still a powerful phone. It was the first of the iPhone range to introduce the almost infinity display with that now infamous notch and sporting a 5.8-inch OLED display, it is a screen that can keep up with the demands of 2019.

Interally, there is a 2716mAh battery, Apple's A11 Bionic chip and even a powerful dual camera set-up.

Samsung Galaxy S11 camera could come with a special sensor for night photography

Based on the leaks we’re hearing, it sounds like the camera could be one of the most heavily upgraded parts of the Samsung Galaxy S11, and now another hint of that has come in the form of a Samsung trademark application for something called a ‘Bright Night Sensor’.

Filed with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and spotted by LetsGoDigital, the filing describes this as ‘image sensors’ and ‘light sensors’ for use with smartphones and other devices.

It doesn’t specifically mention the Samsung Galaxy S11, but that would be a prime candidate for new smartphone photography tech from Samsung.

The filing also doesn’t go into any detail about what a Bright Night Sensor would do, but from the name it sounds like it would be designed to brighten up low light images. Or it possibly capture images of the night sky, like in the Google Pixel 4's astrophotography mode.

A hardware upgrade

It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S10 range actually already has a Bright Night mode for low light shots, but that’s software-powered, whereas this trademark is talking about hardware. In other words, a camera sensor that’s actually designed for this function.

Building a sensor from the ground up for low light photography is likely to lead to great results, and this isn’t the only low light camera tech that the Samsung Galaxy S11 range might pack. We’ve previously heard rumors that one of the lenses is codenamed ‘Hubble’ and that there could be a ‘Space Zoom’ feature.

Those two things both sound like they relate to telephoto photography of the night sky, rather than general low light photography, but they’ll still need to perform without much light.

So with all that in mind – not to mention talk of the Galaxy S11 or Samsung Galaxy S11 Plus having up to 5 rear lenses, including a 108MP one and 5x optical zoom – Samsung’s upcoming flagships could be the phones to beat for night-time photography, and for photography in general.
