Last-minute Christmas shoppers can once again BOGO Samsung Galaxy phones at T-Mobile

Never to be outdone by AT&T, T-Mobile follows up its recent DIRECTV Now promotion and One Plus add-on upgrades with another BOGO deal of its own. As straightforward and advantageous as always, this lets you score a free Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, Edge+, Note 5 or J7 upon purchasing a Galaxy phone of equal or greater value.

You just need to activate two separate T-Mobile One lines of service, and get at least one of the Android devices on an eligible Equipment Installment Plan. After taking care of any down payment (which you’ll also be credited for), a mail-in rebate in the form of a prepaid MasterCard card will be promptly sent your way.

It’s that easy, and if you hurry, you can procure a pair of awesome tech Christmas gifts for a super-low combined price right at the eleventh hour. Oh, yeah, and the “Un-Carrier” still offers to cover your remaining device payments and early termination fees with the competition (up to $650 per line) if you choose to switch networks.

Last but not least, the Samsung Galaxy On5 continues to cost $0 down and $0 a month with a T-Mobile One “plan.” And still, John Legere insists there’s something even cooler around the corner.

Samsung unveils wide but underwhelming range of upcoming Black Friday deals

If Samsung perhaps didn’t need Black Friday blowouts in past years to get people excited about the company’s super-successful flagship phones for the holidays, we kinda sorta assumed 2016 would be different.

But it looks like all those Note 7-redeeming discounts on the S7 and S7 Edge got the chaebol prematurely out of the celebratory mood, at least stateside. There’s still a bunch of deals in the pipeline, some rolling out as early as November 18, others on the 20th, and a couple saved for a 28th Cyber Monday start.

Unfortunately, we don’t see anything about additional GS7 cuts previewed on Samsung’s US website. Just certified pre-owned S6 and S6 Edge units slated to cost $400 and $450 respectively before long, a fairly disappointing $70 Gear VR (2015) promo, $150 Gear Fit 2 wearable, $230 Gear S2, $250 S2 Classic, and $300 Gear S3 smartwatches.

The very recently released Gear S3 is the only one we’d wholeheartedly recommend you purchase next week at a $50 markdown in Classic or Frontier derivations, while the tablet selection on sale will include a $400 Galaxy View, $250 Tab A 10.1 with S Pen, $200 standard Tab A 10.1, $150 Tab E 9.6, and $100 Tab A 7.0. Good thing third-party retailers are always in a giving mood this time of year.

T-Mobile brings back Samsung Galaxy S7 BOGO love for limited time

A free LG G5 or iPad mini 4, as well as a heavily discounted iPhone SE, iPad Pro 9.7 and iPad Air 2, sounded like killer Black Friday deals possibly in the works at the nation’s leading “UnCarrier.” But there was also something off about a prospective buy-one-get-one-half-off arrangement on Samsung’s Galaxy S7 flagship.

Thankfully, T-Mobile either reconsidered the terms of its latest BOGO promotion, or that Reddit tipster has just been proven wrong by an early weekend sale letting you “treat yo self” to a pair of GS7s at the regular price of only one unit from Friday, November 11 to Sunday the 13th.

That’s a proper BOGO package, i.e. Buy One Get One free, and all you need to do to qualify for 24 complimentary monthly credits of $28.75 each ($690 in total) is purchase your first Galaxy S7 copy with an Equipment Installment Plan and add an eligible line of service.

You’ll of course need to pay your $690 to score an extra $690 pre-holiday gift, or you can opt for a Galaxy S6, S6 Edge or S6 Edge+, and both cough up a little less, as well as receive a slightly humbler two-year freebie package.

T-Mo will also obviously allow you to combine any two models of the above, and get the typically cheaper one for free. Alas, there’s no new BOGO love in store for the S7 Edge.

CPSC may expand its recall focus to other Samsung battery explosions

The Galaxy Note 7 came alone. And its screen was diametrically tapered. You could say Samsung gave it a characteristic “edge” that it had given to some major mobile flagships in the past couple of years. But soon, it could be the only way that the chaebol will do its smartphone ...

Galaxy Note 7 explodes, and we’re not talking about demand

One great culinary trend you’ll find in your nearest Koreatown is the country’s deep-fried chicken. Like a good batch of chips (or fries), they’re fried twice — once for actual cooking, then again at a higher temperature for crispiness. One Baidu forums user in China recently had a very unpleasant frying experience, though. We don’t have any context as to how the “world’s first deep-fried

Oh noes, now the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is delayed in the Netherlands
