Here’s everything we saw today during Apple’s WWDC 2020

A couple of days ago we gave you some tidbits of features that weren’t exactly talked about at WWDC but are coming with the new updates and now we have some more. For example, you remember the start up chime on the Mac? Well, it’s coming back with the Big Sur update. Speaking of things coming back, Apple is reviving the Game Center on both iOS and the macOS with a new update. iOS14 is also able to detect hand and body motion to provide new features like fitness performance tracking or use emoji overlays on different scenarios. A new privacy feature let’s you give limited access to apps that ask to permission to access your Photos or other files. Let us know if you want more of these updates.

Android 11 sheds more light on Google’s upcoming Android TV dongle

Lately we’ve been getting some leaks of Google’s upcoming dongle codenamed Sabrina. Sabrina would be Google’s first Android TV dongle since the Nexus Player. Now, Google just dropped a new Android 11 Developer Preview, exclusive for this dongle. In it we have some files that make reference to Sabrina along with a new video with instructions on how to reboot it. It looks exactly like the leaked video we got from XDA where the G Logo is in the center instead of the bottom like on the case of the Chromecast Ultra. Rumors hint to this device being launched along with Android 11 so we could get it at the Pixel 5 Event.

OnePlus is making a documentary film about the journey behind creating a new phone

OnePlus has been teasing their new phone in a… different way. Let’s just say they’re taking the crown for making it unique again, cause if you remember, they were pretty much first at launching a phone with an invitation system back in the day. Today, well, first we saw their new Instagram account and now, they just put out a teaser for a 4-part documentary detailing how they made the phone. At least we think, cause the teaser seems to be more about how OnePlus came to be in the early days. The first part will apparently premiere on June 30 and it consists of different interviews and the whole creative process, but it’s not entirely clear if it’s about the OnePlus One, or this new phone that might be coming, but it’s the story of a six month process. The name for the phone isn’t completely clear yet but if you search Nord on Amazon, it lands on a OnePlus teaser. We hope we’ll get more from this documentary ahead of the July launch.

Yet another leak suggests a 108MP camera on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra  More

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 appears in new render

We have multiple leaks for Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked Event. Let’s start with the Z Flip 5G which just went through certification so we got some updated specs. According to this certification it’ll bring the Snapdragon 865 clocked at 3.09GHz, a 6.7in AMOLED display, dual batteries rated at 2500 mAh + 704 mAh and the usual specs from the previous Z Flip. Moving on, we have some new renders of the Galaxy Watch 3 from Mr. Evan Blass himself. Apparently this is the 45mm variant on a 22mm black leather band. We hadn’t really gotten a lot of leaks when it came to design for this Watch. Finally, we have some alleged Note 20+ case leaks that show off the new camera array and pretty much confirm the dimensions we’re expecting and, a very reliable tipster on Twitter just confirmed that it will bring a 108MP main camera. Another report also claimed that the Note 20+ or Ultra will reach 50x hybrid zoom with a 13MP periscope lens and will ditch the ToF for laser autofocus, it will also bring a 12MP ultra wide.

Story of the day:

Supply chain sources claim the iPhone 12 will launch in September

Apple’s first ARM-based Macs will be a MacBook Pro and a redesigned iMac

And finally, the hottest news today have to do with Apple’s roadmap, which includes iPhones, and also the possibility that Apple Silicon computers are not gonna be products to frown upon. Starting with iPhone there’s been numerous reports that this year’s iPhones will be delayed for obvious reasons but, the analyst that once predicted there wouldn’t be delays is now confirming it. According to him, the supply chain has gone back to normality on an impressive level, way ahead of the expectations and the report claims that this may put Apple in a position where they will be able to launch the new iPhones in their typical mid to late September frame. Now, Ming Chi Kuo did report a couple of months ago that we still might get a delay due to the mmWave variants so we still might get all the phones announced in September but not launched at the same time. Speaking of Kuo, he put out a report a couple of days ago where he said the Apple Silicon plans are kind of epic. Apple plans to launch the redesigned iMac in Q4 of this year. He says that this will be one of the first two ARM Macs that Cupertino plans to release in the fall with the second one being a 13in MacBook Pro. In the meantime, Kuo expects Apple to refresh the current Intel based iMac in Q3 but it is unclear if that model will feature the new design.

Microsoft is already at work optimizing Android 11 for Surface Duo: Report

We had some reports claiming that the Microsoft Surface Duo was coming some time during July. Now, a new report from Windows Latest says that Microsoft is already working on Android 11 for this device. However, we still are expecting it to launch with Android 10 out of the box with Microsoft’s Launcher on top but, according to the report it should get this version of Android 11 fairly quickly, possibly in a couple of months after the release. The specs still remain the same but we’ll see if we get it next month after all.

We have a new spec leak of the Motorola Edge Lite

Another Motorola Edge variant is in works

We just learned through an FCC certification that Motorola is adding a new device to their Edge family. The certification shows a new Moto Edge Lite and now we have a list of specs from a different source. It’ll bring a 6.7in 1080p display at 90Hz and despite bringing the Edge name, it’s not a waterfall display. It brings an on-display fingerprint scanner and a dual punch hole for the selfie cameras. It’ll be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, bring 4 or 6GB of RAM, and 64 or 128GB of storage. On the camera department it’ll bring a quad camera array including a 48MP main sensor and the other ones will consist of 16MP + 8MP + 5MP. We’re still wondering what exactly makes this variant “lite” but it will be reportedly priced at €399.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G could arrive with a better processor

Samsung’s Unpacked is pretty much around the corner and, we’re expecting the new Notes, the new Fold and a 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip but, it looks like it will be more than just the addition of 5G. According to a new SamMobile report, the Z Flip 5G just went through Geekbench and it has a significant spec bump. According to the listing, it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 865 instead of the 855+. The report also mentions that the phone will most likely be more expensive than the original variant considering that it now brings 5G capabilities and a new processor.

Apple Glasses could use eye tracking to deliver video AR experiences

We have a new patent application from Apple that shows us how their AR Glasses might work and they’re actually pretty complicated. They’re described as a “head-mounted display” in the patent and they would work by using one or more gaze tracking sensors, one or more image sensors and a processing apparatus. Here’s the thing, the original script was to describe all the technical jargon of what this means, but I do value not getting you drunk before you’ve had your first drink. In a nutshell, the technology would use video to complete your “AR” experience by laying AR content over your real-world environment, kind of like the way the IKEA app works. Rumors have it that this headset might launch until 2022 and they’ll be considered an iPhone accessory as you’re getting the information from the iPhone. Guys, trust me, you don’t wanna read the patent. It’s not made for regular humans like you and me.

Story of the day:

A Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra may arrive with more power and less bezels than the Note 20+

And finally, the hottest news today have to do with the Galaxy Note you might actually want to buy this year. See, yesterday the topic was all about the Galaxy Note 20 being all stripped down, but I guess today we learn why Samsung wants to push that plus variant. We have a new tweet from Ice Universe where he mentions a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Again, not sure if the final name will be Ultra, but you get the picture. It still isn’t fully clear if the Ultra will be a completely separate variant or if he’s talking about the Note 20+ here but let’s assume this a separate variant. On the tweet he mentions this is an Evolution version of the Note 10+, it’ll bring a Snapdragon 865+, and a QHD+120Hz display with LTPO technology for better power efficiency. The tweet also mentions some new camera functions and a new S-Pen with new features. He also showed some images on the tweet but later on he clarified that the images were of a Note 10+. Some time ago we heard a rumor of the Note 20 Ultra coming after the Unpacked and bringing this Snapdragon 865+ so that could still be the case. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G could arrive with a better processor

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is on the way. We expect it to launch during the same Unpacked event as the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Fold 2. Recent information suggests that the new Galaxy Z Flip may have more advantages over the original LTE variant, than just 5G support and maybe a new color.

It seems that Samsung’s next foldable device with a clamshell design was found over at Geekbench. In its listing, we can see that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G may arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which is better than the Snapdragon 855+ processor found in the original version, and it would also include 8GB RAM and the same 256GB storage space as before.

Samsung will reportedly unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 5G on August 5

It's only fair to share...Share on RedditShare on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Tumblr

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip is a fine device (or disastrous, depends on how you look at it), but despite its ultra-premium price tag of $1,380, it missed out on 2020’s hottest trend – 5G support. The South Korean electronics giant is reportedly looking to fix that by launching the Galaxy Z Flip 5G on August 5.

Famed leakster John Prosser (@jon_prosser) has tweeted that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G will break cover at the next Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5. A previous leak also pegged the next Galaxy Unpacked event to fall on the same date, with Samsung expected to launch a host of devices including the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Watch 3, and new wireless earbuds.

Following its debut on August 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G will reportedly be up for grabs starting August 20. Not much is known about its specs, but Samsung will likely just fit a 5G modem inside it and possibly double the base storage, rather than upgrading the innards or the entire hardware package itself.

Samsung planning August 5 online launch for Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2: Reports

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is still a few months away from its official debut going by the company’s typical launch cycle, but it appears that the ongoing pandemic won’t derail its arrival or even delay it. As per a fresh leak that cites Samsung sources, the company is planning to hold an online Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5.

Donga reports that talks are currently underway to finalize August 5 for an online event where the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20+ will debut. Reputed leaker IceUniverse also mentioned the same date in a recent Weibo post and revealed a huge lineup of devices that will break cover at event.

Aside from the Galaxy Note 20 series, the August 5 Galaxy Unpacked event will also witness the launch of Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G foldable phones. Plus, the company is also claimed to reveal the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ flagship Android tablets, and the Galaxy Watch 2 smartwatch that might bring back the physical rotating bezel.

New Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G could also include a new color variant

We have more information concerning the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G. This new device will basically be the same as the original Galaxy Z Flip, but it would also offer 5G connectivity and now, a new color as well.

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G may not come with more storage space options since its also supposed to arrive with the same 256GB storage as the regular model. It seems that we’re also getting the same black and purple options, but a third color may also be on the way, since Samsung may have created a new brown finish that will be included in its future foldable devices, so that also includes of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. We still don’t have word on a possible launch date of this new 5G foldable device, but at least we know that it could arrive in 2020.
