Apple’s iPhone XS, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and more are on sale

Samsung gaming monitors, Razer and HyperX are also on sale today

Save up to $400 on Sony 4K Smart TVs, sound systems and more

New week, but the news today still begin with deals. Starting with Cupertino’s iPhone XS which, like I don’t know how it’s still sold but it is, and you can find for 350 on Woot but of course, this is a refurbished variant.. Though better than grabbing an iPhone SE for a higher price. If you move on to B&H, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus is available for 480 dollars off its original price, leaving the 256 gigs of storage variant for 620 bucks . Speaking of Samsung devices, Samsung’s trade-in deals still let you get the regular Galaxy S21 for 99 dollars or the S21 Ultra for 499 and you get 100 dollars in instant credit with certain variants. Moving on to Amazon, the Apple Watch Series 6 is 25 dollars off for the 40 mm variant, leaving that at 374. Finally, Amazon’s new Echo Dot is also 15 dollars off, leaving it at 35 dollars shipped. We have a ton of more deals on Sony TVs, Hisense TVs, Razer Gaming peripherals and more.

Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is reportedly coming in second half of 2021 with major upgrades

Let’s move on to Microsoft and everyone’s favorite product of 2020, the Surface Duo. We know the story about how the first model was delayed multiple time and was then released to a ton of bugs in the software and old hardware. Well, according to a new report from Windows Latest, the Surface Duo 2 has apparently been in development since the second half of last year, and is scheduled to launch in the fall of this year though, Microsoft’s plans could change. When it comes to the hardware, we should expect a faster processor that is 5G capable and an improved camera but, apparently software seems to be the primary focus of the Duo 2. And I mean, it makes a ton of sense considering all the bugs it came with… but aside from the software, I’m more curious about the camera. We should be getting more information on this phone in the upcoming months and I mean, I hope they nail it this time.

Google cuts Play Store commission fee to 15% for most developers

Now, let’s shift the spotlight on to Google as, they just pulled an Apple.. Quite literally. The company announced today that they are cutting their Play Store Commission fee from 30% to 15% but, there is a catch. The fee is being reduced to 15% for the first 1 million dollars of revenue every developer earns each year, and once you reach the 1 million, you will be charged the usual 30% commission every one is currently charged. For those of you who are developers in the audience, this reduced commission will come into effect starting on July 1st this year, and they claim that 99% of the developers will benefit from this move. This will allow them to see a 50% reduction in fees, allowing them to scale up and grow by being able to hire more engineers and other people, which is kind of an irony if they start making some real money. What’s weird about it is that Google doubled down in their 30% stance last year after Apple launched their small business program but, it’s a move that benefits everyone regardless. I guess developers can thank Epic Games for this one too.

OnePlus 9 Pro might support 50W wireless charging. Hello, Apple and Samsung!

Why wait for launch? Here’s your official look at OnePlus 9 Pro

1Hz-120Hz! Yep, that’s what OnePlus 9 Pro’s display will offer

But alright, we’re getting closer to March 23rd which is OnePlus 9 Series Day and, when we said we should be getting more leaks soon.. I didn’t think the company would be the ones doing the leaking. Yesterday the company just flat out revealed the designed of the OnePlus 9 Pro on Twitter, where they say “Specially designed reflective glass elevates the Morning Mist 9 Pro to new levels of design excellence. On the pictures you get to see the new camera module, the punch hole display and well.. That’s it. Nothing left for the imagination here. Speaking of the display and sort of confirmed things, a new report from PC Mag claims that the 9 Pro will support adaptive refresh rate that will go as low as 1Hz and as high as 120Hz of course. What this means is that while you scroll it’ll go at 120Hz but, if you’re watching a video at 30fps, the screen will change the refresh rate to 30Hz. Finally, moving on to a new leak from Pricebaba, the OnePlus 9 Pro will bring 50W wireless charging and 65W wired charging to power up that 4500 mAh battery. Most of the leaks so far are about the 9 Pro and the 9 so, we’ll see what the company decides to bring with that 9R variant which has been kept under wraps, at least more than the other variants.

Apple AirPods 3 not coming anytime soon: Report

Finally, for the hottest news today, let’s talk Apple and AirPods. So, we’re exactly a week away from the rumored Apple event announcement, and well, still no invites. Apple has historically sent these a week early, so things start getting weird, but wait, there’s more. According to a ton of leaks from trusted sources, on that we’re supposed to get products like AirTags, iPads and, AirPods…., I mean, last week we got a ton of pictures of those AirPods including renders and even hands on images which made it look like they were ready to go. Well hold it right there. Yesterday we got a new report from Ming Chi Kuo that claims that mass production for the AirPods Pro will start until the third quarter of 2021, meaning that they will probably launch until Q4. We also have a new Weibo post from Love To Dream where he claims in his cryptic fashion that “there are no AirPods in his dream”. Shortly after he also mentioned in a tweet that the second gen AirPods will not be discontinued yet, kind of going along with what Ming Chi Kuo said. So yeah, even with all of the IRL leaks and everything we’re not exactly sure if Apple will be launching these on this March 23 Event, which we’re also not even sure if it’ll happen on that date as we should’ve gotten that invite at 9am today.

Apple AirPods 3 not coming anytime soon: Report

We’ve been hearing a lot of rumors and speculations regarding the next iteration of Apple AirPods, which are being called the AirPods 3. It was recently reported that their launch is imminent as Apple plans a March 23 event. However, the latest report says otherwise. According to the recent developments, the Apple AirPods 3 aren’t launching anytime soon.

The development comes from MacRumors, which cites investors note from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The analyst says that the mass production of the third-generation AirPods will begin in the third quarter of 2021. This means, the AirPods 3 aren’t launching anytime soon, as opposed to recent rumors. If the mass production begins in third quarter of 2021, the devices are likely to launch later in the year in Q4.

There have been various leaks – from live images to renders – that have given us a look at what to expect next from Apple. While it was said that the renders revealed the final version of the AirPods 3, it is now unclear if they are to be believed since the launch isn’t happening anytime soon.

According to previous rumors, the device is tipped to come without the support for the company’s noise-canceling feature. Apple is tipped to be developing a system-in-package (SiP) product containing Apple’s H1 chip, which is an AirPod audio driver chip, through a domestic materials partner. AirPods 3 are rumored to be around 20 percent lower than the price of the AirPods Pro that comes with active noise canceling technology.

“If ‌AirPods‌ 2 will go to end-of-life after ‌AirPods‌ 3’s mass production, we estimate ‌AirPods‌ 3, AirPods Pro, ‌AirPods‌ 2, and ‌AirPods Max‌ will account for about 40%, 28%, 31%, and 1% of total shipments, respectively, in 2021. If ‌AirPods‌ 2 will continue production after mass production of ‌AirPods‌ 3, we estimate ‌AirPods‌ 3, ‌AirPods Pro‌, ‌AirPods‌ 2, and ‌AirPods Max‌ will account for about 32%, 28%, 39%, and 1% of total shipments in 2021, respectively,” said Kuo

Apple lowering iPhone 12 Mini production due to ‘far lower’ demand than expected

Let’s switch to reports and rumors before we take it back to the hottest news and, this time it’s about iPhones. Earlier this year we had a report from DigiTimes claiming that Apple would scale back iPhone 13 mini production due to low demand. Well, according to a new Nikkei Asia report, iPhone 12 mini sales have been far lower than Apple initially expected prompting the company to cut down orders for the mini from their original plan for the first half of the year.. Pretty much confirmation to what we heard earlier. The report mentions that some suppliers were even asked to stop building components that were specifically for the mini. Apparently Cupertino will cut planned production by more than 70% at least for the time being. That being said, Apple reportedly plans to cut production of all models by 20% so, the mini is taking a 50% cutback which is still huge. Many analysts claim that the low sales are because the iPhone 11 and 12 have similar prices and offer larger displays and batteries for a almost the same price. Let’s see what ends up happening with the 2021 line up if the mini doesn’t pick up over the rest of the year.

ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has more RAM than my gaming PC

But alright, let’s get back to official news as, we just got the ROG Phone 5 Series and well it sounds great, but I’m not sure about the looks. well it sounds Michael Fisher showed me his Ultimate unit yesterday and while he loves it, struggling with not assuming it’s a white phone with a broken back. The company took to the virtual stage to introduce 3 new gaming smartphones, the ROG Phone 5, 5 Pro and the 5 Ultimate. Of course we’ll be focusing on the Ultimate here which brings a 6.78-inch AMOLED Display running at 144 Hz with 300 Hz touch sampling. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, along with 18 gigs RAM, I know… 18 GIGS OF RAM, half a terabyte of non expandable storage that allows support for external hard drives through NTFS, and a massive 6000 mAh battery. I mean those numbers almost sound illegal in certain countries.. Meaning damn Asus is NOT playing around. When it comes to the cameras, you get a 64 megapixel main sensor from Sony, a 13 megapixel ultra wide and ugh, I don’t even know why they bother with the 5 megapixel Macro. The phone still comes with the Air Triggers at the top with the higher-end models bringing other extra buttons as well and you can still buy the gaming pad separately. The base model for the ROG Phone 5 starts at 800 Euros, the Rog Phone 5 Pro goes for 1200 Euros, while the Ultimate will cost you 1300 Euros. If you’re interested in availability and other details, make sure you check out the links in the description.

Apple AirPods 3 alleged first look is here

Apple AirPods 3 appear in alleged real-life images. Take a look!

Let’s move the spotlight back on to Apple but, not for the products you would expect, let’s talk AirPods. We’ve been waiting on the third generation AirPods for quite some time and rumors hint that we could get them at Apple’s upcoming March Event. Now we have a new report from Gizmochina that shows some renders of the AirPods 3 which were apparently based on images from suppliers. From the renders you can notice the shorter stem and the vents at the top, showing a ton of resemblance to the current AirPods Pro, but without the silicone tips. The case is also shrinking down a bit and getting wider. We also have some IRL images of these headphones from a tipster on Twitter that, doesn’t have the greatest track record, but these look like the real deal. So yeah, these are pretty much turning into AirPods Pro when it comes to design but lacking the actual Pro features like Active Noise Cancelling. Again, we’re expecting these at the March Event which is reportedly 13 days away so, we’ll keep you posted if we get more leaks.

Story of the day:

OnePlus confirms a 50MP ultra-wide camera for its upcoming flagship

Pete Lau teases OnePlus 9 Pro’s UW camera capabilities

And finally, for the hottest news today let’s talk OnePlus as, they have managed to take up a great amount of the spotlight today, which makes sense as we get close to the OnePlus 9 Event. Pete Lau has been on a sort of Ming Chi Kuo type of run these past couple of days, with the exception that what he says aren’t predictions. First he revealed that we will be getting a charger, and now he confirmed that we will be getting a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera for the 9 Pro with a Sony IMX766 Sensor. He also showed some sample images where, apparently they took 2 ultra wide images and you can definitely see that there is way less distortion on the 9 Pro, but of course, we’ll have to test that to see how accurate it is. Now, speaking of that camera, MKBHD posted a picture of the new “Pro” UI that reportedly comes thanks to the Hasselblad partnership that the company has been teasing. From this picture we can see how the Pro mode let’s you control Shutter Speed, ISO, Focus and more. So, we’re currently expecting three phones from OnePlus, the 9R, the 9 and the 9 Pro. The 9 Pro will reportedly pack a 6.78-inch display, running at 120Hz, Snapdragon 888 5G, 8 or 12 gigs of RAM and your typical amount of storage. From all these teasers and leaks they’re focusing a lot on the camera, where we should expect a 48 megapixel main sensor, that 50 megapixel ultra wide, and then two other cameras that are still pending to be leaked.

Apple AirPods 3 appear in alleged real-life images. Take a look!

It looks like the AirPods 3 are indeed going to launch soon, and as per leaks, they will debut at an event on March 23. A few weeks ago, the first alleged images and renders of the AirPods 3 surfaced online, and earlier today, more high-resolution renders popped up on the internet. Now, a pair of real-life images allegedly showing the AirPods 3 have been shared (via @LeaksApplePro) on Twitter, and the design looks familiar to what we’ve seen recently.

Just as the leaks had earlier predicted, the design of AirPods 3 is heavily inspired by the AirPods Pro, down to the short steam and the black stripe on the main earpiece area. As for the approach, it appears to be half in-ear this time around, and it looks like users will have the choice between wearing them with or without silicone ear tips. Overall, it is a major deviation from the current-gen AirPods’ design which lacks ear tips and isn’t the most comfortable true wireless earbud out there.

AirPods 3 might offer Spatial Audio, but no ANC or transparency mode

The leaked AirPods 3 live image also shows the pressure-sensitive touch input area and the pressure-relief vent at the top as well. More importantly, leaks suggest that the AirPods 3 will bring support for Spatial Audio, a feature that is currently exclusive to the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. In case you’re unaware, Spatial Audio relies on head-tracking to deliver a more immersive listening experience, somewhat like a 360-degree surround sound experience.

But to keep the price in check – which is reportedly going to be around $150 – the AirPods 3 will miss out on support for Active Noise Cancellation as well as Transparency Mode – both of which made their debut with the AirPods Pro. Additionally, the case that will come with the upcoming earbuds is said to support wireless charging, but other details such as battery life, audio driver, and more are still under the wraps. Adding more about the charging case, it will be smaller than those of the vanilla AirPods.

Apple AirPods 3 alleged first look is here

It is no secret that Apple is working on the next-gen AirPods. The update is long overdue, and the company is tipped to be prepping to launch its AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro 2 at the next Apple event, which is reportedly scheduled for March 23. Ahead of the official unveil, alleged renders of the AirPods 3 have surfaced online.

The latest development comes from Gizmochina, which reports having gotten their hands on a new set of AirPods 3 renders from suppliers. It is said that the showcased design will be the final version which will be released in the market for everyone to purchase. The leaked images reiterate previous leaks which claimed that the upcoming AirPods 3 could take some inspiration from the AirPods Pro.

If you look at the renders, you’ll notice a shorter stem. According to previous rumors, the device is tipped to come without the support for the company’s noise-canceling feature. However, the latest report says otherwise. The publication reports that the AirPods 3 can come with Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) support.

Apple is rumored to be developing a system-in-package (SiP) product containing Apple’s H1 chip, which is an AirPod audio driver chip, through a domestic materials partner. The upcoming product is touted to be around 20 percent lower than the price of the AirPods Pro that comes with active noise canceling technology.

Apple is also tipped to be working on the AirPods Pro 2. The upcoming earbuds could have the same 21mm thickness, while the height and length are said to be 46mm and 54mm, respectively. It could have a stem-less design. It could also ensure a better in-ear fit and reduce the risk of the earbuds falling off from the ears. Moreover, the upcoming Pro model is said to come in two sizes. Let’s now wait for the launch to see what’s correct and what’s incorrect.

But I’d recommend you stick around before you pull that trigger cause we’ve got hot news coming on what’s next. If you’re more of a windows guy, the Razer Blade Stealth 13 is currently 400 dollars off, meaning it starts at just 1300 dollars which is a pretty good deal. Huawei Mate X2 goes official with a Galaxy Fold-like inward-folding design

Let’s move on to Huawei as, we’ve been expecting the Mate X2 for quite some time now and it’s finally out, and yes, it looks like a Galaxy Z Fold 2, but this is actually a different story. It features a new inward folding design with an 8 inch main OLED Display running at 90Hz refresh rate. On the cover, you’re getting a 6.45 inch display running at 90Hz as well. This phone is powered by the Kirin 9000 SoC along with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. When it comes to the camera, you get a 50MP main sensor, a 16MP Ultra Wide, a 12MP Telephoto with 3x Optical Zoom, along with an 8MP “Super Zoom” Camera that supports 10x optical zoom. Of course, you get your typical set of features like Pro Modes, Tracking Shots, High-Res and more. On this phone you’re also getting a 4500 mAh and 55W fast charging and yes, it is sadly exclusive for China and it doesn’t have Google Services. Thing is, the other reason why it’s different is because if you do the math, this phone costs a crazy $2775.. Yeah, high-end MacBook Pro territory, and I’m trying to figure out why.

AirPods 3 leaked images allegedly show off an in-ear design akin to the AirPods Pro

Let’s talk about Cupertino and their upcoming March Event as we get closer. Last week we covered how we could be getting new iPad Pros, AirTags, maybe an iPad mini and maybe some new AirPods. Over the weekend Jon Prosser made a video on the products his sources have told him we’re getting and that includes, iPad Pros, AirTags and a Magic Keyboard for that iPad Pro. However, he didn’t rule out the fact that we could get more things, he just wasn’t aware at the time. Well, going back to those AirPods, we have some new leaked schematics, showing off the new design. As the previous leaks claimed, these are taking design cues from the current AirPods Pro which is very welcomed if you ask me. They bring the black pressure sensitive touch input area, and the pressure relief vents at the top as well. They are also expected to support Spatial Audio but, Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode won’t be making the cut to separate them more from the Pros. Apparently the price tag will be $150 and this leak also claims that they will debut in March so we’ll see if we get them at the event.

MacBook Pro with SD card slot, HDMI port to launch in H2 of 2021

Sticking to Apple for another segment let’s talk MacBook Pro and I actually had to read this report twice because it sounds too good to be true. See MacBooks Pros have historically been criticized for repeatedly killing ports that Pros *actually* use, but just like we’ve seen with the iPhone, seriously it’s as if Apple finally listens. According to a new report from non-other than Ming Chi Kuo, Cupertino plans to release 2 new MacBook Pro models that, hear this, come equipped with an HDMI port and an SD Card reader.. A full throwback to the 2012 model, and I really hope I’m reading this right. Kuo mentions that we should expect these two new MacBook Pro models in the second half of 2021 that will have several significant design and specification changes. Of course, the SD Card reader was rumored last month but, this is the first time we’re hearing about this dedicated HDMI port. So, we’re expecting new 14 inch and 16 inch variants of the MacBook Pro, both powered by Apple Silicon. These are also tipped to feature brighter, higher-contrast panels, probably thanks to new mini-LED panels and MagSafe could be making a return to laptops as well which could apparently make them charge faster. We don’t know exactly how much they plan to scale back the USB-C ports but, I feel like 4 USB-C ports along with these new leaked ones are pretty reasonable, and especially at how high Apple prices these computers.

Story of the day:

Google Pixel 5a leak shows a familiar design with an upgraded dual rear camera setup

Yes.. It’s finally time. We’ve had a running joke with Diego about the fact that it’s been way too long since we’ve gotten any Pixel leaks.. And they’re finally here, though I’m not exactly sure how excited we should be. We have some new renders from OnLeaks that apparently belong to the Pixel 5a and in typical Pixel fashion, there’s nothing left to the imagination here. As yes, it brings pretty much the exact same design as the Pixel 4a.. Sort of. According to the leaks, this is a 6.2 inch OLED display at FHD+ resolution but, it is still unclear if Google will stick to 60Hz or make the jump to at least 90Hz refresh rate here. At the back, the little stove is making a return but this time we’re getting a dual camera module, finally. In typical Google fashion we should expect the same hardware we get on the Pixel 5 with a 12MP main sensor and a 16MP ultra wide. From the leaks you can see that we’re getting the same punch hole, same fingerprint scanner at the back and the headphone jack is still here! Apparently we should expect the Pixel 5a to come out some time in August this year, maybe with Android 12 as that’s when we should expect the first stable build. So yeah, it seems we’ll be getting a smaller Pixel 4a 5G in every which way you can think of, unless Google plans to fix things under the hood, and it’s not like if the company is famous for that.

AirPods 3 leaked images allegedly show off an in-ear design akin to the AirPods Pro

Apple has been rumored to launch its next-generation true wireless earbuds – tentatively called AirPods 3 – for a while now. As per reliable sources such as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the updated AirPods will make their debut in the first half of 2021 rocking a design inspired by the AirPods Pro. Now, we might have our first look at what the AirPods 3 might actually look like, thanks to a leaked image and a couple of schematics that also shows the accompanying charging case (via 52Audio).

AirPods 3 might rock a half in-ear design and replaceable ear tips

Right off the bat, the AirPods 3 appear to have taken a heavy dose of inspiration from the AirPods Pro. The stem is significantly smaller compared to the regular AirPods. Plus, the design is actually half-in ear, which might provide a better fit and improved noise isolation compared to vanilla AirPods which actually rest on the ears and don’t provide a particularly secure fit.

Source: 52Audio

More importantly, the AirPods 3 will also allow users to attach replaceable ear tips, much like the AirPods Pro. But the obvious design inspiration doesn’t stop there. We also see the signature black pressure-sensitive touch input area and also the pressure-relief vent at the top as well. Additionally, they will also support Spatial Audio – Apple’s take on a surround sound experience that relies on head tracking.

Spatial Audio support, wireless charging case, and a $150 price tag

Notably, the AirPods 3 will miss out on Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode (ambient sound mode, in simple terms) features that you get on the pricier AirPods Pro and AirPods Max headphones. the charging case of AirPods 3 is said to support wireless charging, but it will be smaller than the one that comes with the AirPods Pro. Finally, the report also mentions that the AirPods 3 will be priced at $150 and will debut in early March. But do take this leaked information with the proverbial pinch of salt.

Source: 52Audio

Now, earlier this week, another report from earlier this week mentioned that the AirPods 3 might be launched in March. They will reportedly debut on Apple’s rumored March 16 event that will also witness the debut of new iPad Pro as well as iPad Mini models, and likely the AirTags object tracker as well. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently tweeted that there won’t be an Apple launch event on March 16.

The post AirPods 3 leaked images allegedly show off an in-ear design akin to the AirPods Pro appeared first on Pocketnow.

Apple’s new AirPods 3 could also arrive next month

It seems that Apple may indeed have something planned for March. Just some days ago, we received rumors suggesting that Apple was getting ready to launch its new iPad Pro with a mini-LED display as well as the long-awaited AirTags. However, the latest information claims that the new AirPods 3 could also join the show.

Jon Prosser has been leaking tons of Apple information lately. Last week, he posted that Apple’s AirTags and the new iPad Pros were going to arrive next month. However, he’s not the only one paying close attention to Apple’s steps. LeaksApplePro has also taken to Twitter to reveal more rumors about Cupertino’s possible March event. The tweet confirms that we will get a new iPad Pro and AirTags, but it also claims that we will receive the new AirPods 3.

Rumors also suggest that Apple could launch no less than three new devices next month, so we will have to wait and see what we’re getting. Still, we are also led to believe that new M1 Macs will take a while before making their appearance, and the cheaper AirPods Max will also have to wait sometime before they get officially launched. We have also received hints of new AirPods Pro 2 and maybe an AirPods Pro ‘Lite’ edition that would arrive without noise cancellation to help keep the price down.

There’s no official confirmation, but it is believed that we will get at least one iPad Pro model with a mini-LED display, so we’re guessing that it will be the larger 12.9-inch version. At the same time, the smaller 11-inch iPad Pro is expected to arrive, but this one would feature an LCD display with ProMotion and True Tone tech. Ming-Chi Kuo has also told us to expect new iPad Pro’s in the first half of 2021, as well as Apple’s new object tracker, which gives these rumors more credibility.

Could this be the AirPods 3?

Earlier rumors have claimed that Apple is planning to upgrade its truly wireless earphones lineup. The company could launch the 3rd gen AirPods and 2nd gen AirPods Pro in 2021. Now, alleged images of AirPods have surfaced online. It shows that Apple is working on updated models for its popular wireless earphones.

The development comes from 52audio who have shared an image with what they claim to be parts of the new “AirPods 3.” The leak shows an extremely similar design to AirPods Pro. It gives us a look at the top part of Apple’s wireless earphones and also the enclosure cover of its charging case.

The leaked image corroborates with a recent report that claimed the design of Apple AirPods 3 to be similar to the current AirPods Pro. This means it will have a shorter stem and replaceable ear tips. The company is touted to be working on improving the battery life of the device. Despite the design, the upcoming AirPods will not have higher-end AirPods Pro features like noise-cancellation.

As for the AirPods Pro, the Cupertino giant is said to make the earbuds more compact by eliminating the short stem that currently sticks out from the bottom. The said design is in the testing phase with a more rounded shape that fills more of a user’s ear. It is said to be similar to the designs from Samsung, Amazon, and Google. The report goes on to say that integrating noise-cancellation, wireless antennas and microphones into a smaller AirPods Pro casing has proved challenging during development. It could result in a “less ambitious design” when the product is finalized.

The AirPods 3 and 2nd gen AirPods Pro could be launched in the first half of 2021. Moreover, both these devices could be powered by a new wireless chip.

New AirPods 3 would include System-in-Package technology

We’re expecting some new entry level AirPods for next year and, according to the latest research note from Ming Chi Kuo, we’re due for a design refresh. According to Kuo, the new AirPods will adopt a similar System-In-Package to the AirPods Pro to integrate the audio features into a smaller casing as, we know that the Pros bring smaller stems. These AirPods 3 are supposed to arrive in the first half of 2021 and that the current AirPods will be discontinued. This also means that the AirPods Pro should see components shipments grow from 50 to 100% due to the demand.

This alleged iPhone 12 box insert could confirm, no EarPods or power adapter

Speaking of Apple, let’s talk about the iPhone 12’s box… yeah the box. We have a new render that allegedly comes from a reliable source of the new box, and from the image we can tell that it’ll only bring two slots, one for the USB-C to Lightning Cable and the other one for the paperwork including the stickers that come with. We assume the second one is for paperwork because, it’s way too thin for the EarPods and for the charging brick. It also has a slim cutout at the top were we think the iPhone 12 will sit. Of course this isn’t official yet but, everything points to Apple making this move.

Story of the day:

Here’s your first real-life look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and it’s gorgeous

Here’s the first look at Samsung Galaxy Note 20’s display

We have an official date for the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event

And finally the hottest news today is that well, today seems to be official event confirmation day. First Microsoft, the OnePlus, now Samsung. The new Galaxy Unpacked was just made official for August 5th at 10AM Eastern Time, we’ll obviously have some live coverage and a dedicated Daily so make sure you subscribe. Thing is the image only reveals that special new copper color we saw leaked by none other than you know who. And speaking of leaks, the Note 20 just went through a 3C certification so we have some IRL images of it from a tipster on Twitter. These images are of the black color variant and we get to see the new triple camera array which still includes the periscope lens. We also get to see the S Pen which doesn’t look like it has changed much from the Note 10. Some users on Twitter claimed that these were dummies but according to another tipster, this is a fully working unit and we can confirm as the tipster also shared images of the display. These show off the tiny bezels, the centered punch hole and we’re assuming that this is the Note 20 Ultra or Plus because it brings a curved display instead of the flat we’re expecting for the regular Note 20.

According to well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will release its new AirPods 3 sometime in the first half of 2021, but he also gives details about these new earphones.

A new report by Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that Apple’s new AirPods 3 will arrive with significant changes in 2021. First of all, these new earphones would include SiP technology, instead of the SMP tech used in the current version. This means that the internal components of the earphones could take up a smaller space. This change would also help give them a design that resembles the one we find on the AirPods Pro. Kuo also believes that the second-gen AirPods may be discontinued when this new model arrives.
