Sony Smart Shot to be compatible with all Android and iOS devices, white version leaked

Sony’s Lens Camera, that was recently leaked, should bring additional imaging capabilities to smartphones. Though the details are scarce at the moment, everything should be clear on September 4, when Sony will have its pre-IFA event and announce the accessory alongside the Honami (and possibly the Honami Mini). Until then, there are a couple of more rumors and leaks to hang on to. The image above represents the accessory ...

Your thoughts on the iPhone 5S colors, Steve Ballmer, Moto X colors & more – Pocketnow Daily Recap

Pocketnow Daily gets an average of 3 to 500 comments a day, and sometimes even a thousand. We’d like to thank you all for participating in our question of the day, and we love your feedback so much, that we decided that since we can’t respond to ever single one of your comments, we should at least feature a couple in a weekly video. This is the Pocketnow Daily Recap. Since we only have 3 minutes on every Daily video to go through the hottest news, the weekly recap will serve as a more extensive discussion where we also include your thoughts on the subject. Sadly, for the sake ...

iPhone 5C packaging purportedly pictured

While the general consensus is that Apple will be holding a September 10 event, where the next-generation iPhone, the iPhone 5S, is expected to be unveiled, alongside the cheaper mode, the iPhone 5S, the invites have still not been sent out yet, raising a couple of question marks. However, the leaks continue to pour in, this time, looking at the purported iPhone 5C packaging, again. While the authenticity of this image above can’t be verified, we advise you to get your skeptical hat. It is also possible that ...

We’ve already seen the purported white face of the phablet but what nobody seems to know at the moment is when exactly will the Note III become available? According to the image above, a purported still snapped off of a Three UK internal ...

Galaxy Note 8.0 – After The Buzz, Episode 023 (Video)

Most new device launches go the same way: usually the press gets review units before they’re widely available, and we get to use them for a few days -or a week if we’re lucky- as we work on our review. Then press day arrives. The embargo on media coverage lifts, and everyone posts their reviews and videos at the same time. It’s a huge frenzy, commenters go nuts, and it’s a giant explosion of frantic opinion-

Watch today’s Pocketnow Daily as we talk about some of the screenshots leaked of the Galaxy Gear companion app for Samsung devices, aside from some more revealing patents of a future Motorola smart watch. We later talk about the Sony Honami and the first leaked gallery of the phone. The iPhone 5S is next as we have some carrier support information to back the name now. Intel surprised our radar after that since it seems they want to go into the smartphone business. We end today’s show talking about the new HTC Fetch and HTC Mini+, even though we debate their functionality. All ...

Motorola patents multi-display, eye-tracking smartwatch

Maybe it’s this pending Galaxy Gear launch hanging around in the air, but smartwatches have seriously been coming at us from all angles lately. Launch name leaked for HTC Zara

Going back a little over a month by now, we’ve been fielding rumors of the HTC Zara, a smartphone first revealed to us by means of some specs and that codename, and later showing up in renders. Zara’s always been a bit of a tough nut to crack, and we’ve scratched our heads at some length trying to work out how the phone might finally arrive, and where precisely it would fit into HTC’s existing ...

Smartwatch-maker WIMM may have been snatched-up by Google

Remember WIMM and its smartwatch? While now our attention is laser-focused on Samsung and the Galaxy Gear, the smartwatch landscape was looking very different (and a whole lot less worth getting excited about) two years ago. At the time, we shared news with you of WIMM and its smartwatch, notable at even that early date for running full-blown Android, rather than just being a more limited Bluetooth watch that simply pulled call and text data from ...

Samsung Galaxy Note III face shows up in white

It may not be quite the free-for-all that we’ve been seeing with the iPhone 5S and 5C, but there have been a good number of rumors associated with Samsung’s Galaxy Note III, and just the other day we got a nice look at a leaked front panel for the upcoming phablet. That was a very interesting find, letting us do some comparisons to the Note II, but it sure won’t be the only color option the Note III gets at launch. ...

An Intel-branded smartphone? FCC filing sure seems to reveal as much

Intel is doing better and better at getting its SoCs into mobile devices. After a slow start, we began to see the pack pick up a little this year, with Intel scoring some wins like getting its chips into new Samsung tablets. We fully expect to see Intel continue to push for the use of its silicon in such models, but now a new FCC regulatory filing has us thinking about Intel building its own hardware from the ground up, with the appearance of ...
