Samsung’s next earbuds are called Galaxy Buds Pro as per US FCC documents

A few days ago, we reported that Samsung will launch new true wireless earbuds early next year alongside the Galaxy S21 series. Now, a couple of certification documents have revealed some details about them. Starting with the name, certification documents spotted on the US FCC database have revealed that the upcoming earbuds will carry the model number SM-R190 and that they will debut under the name Galaxy Buds Pro

In addition to revealing the name and model number, the certification documents on the US regulatory body’s database also give us an idea of what the charging case for the Galaxy Buds Pro looks like. The shape of the charging looks like a square with rounded corners, similar to what Samsung offered with the Galaxy Buds Live. The rated charging output of the earbuds, as per the design schematics on the certification documents, is listed as 5V-120mA, while that of the charging case is 5V-500mA (that effectively translates to 2.5W).

As per a previous leak, the Galaxy Buds Pro will rock a design that will be similar to the Galaxy Buds+, but they will come with a major upgrade – Active Noise Cancellation. And as we mentioned previously, the noise cancellation experience offered by the Galaxy Buds Pro will be better than the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live, primarily because the former’s in-ear design can more effectively seal the ear canal against external noise.

Additionally, the company is also rumored to introduce an improved ambient mode with its new pair of earbuds that will likely go official in January alongside the Galaxy S21 family at the next Galaxy Unpacked event. Ambient mode, as the name suggests, allows the passage of external sounds through the earbuds to ensure that users are aware of what is happening in their surroundings. Unfortunately, there haven’t been any reliable leaks regarding the Galaxy Buds Pro’s pricing or the color options that will be on the table.

Waiting for good Cyber Monday deals on smartphones, but can’t find that one device that best fits your requirements? OnePlus 8 Pro – $250 off

Starting with the OnePlus 8 Pro, it is usually up for grabs at $999 for the 256GB storage option. But Amazon is taking 25% off its asking price this Cyber Monday, and is offering it at a considerably lower price of $749.99 in the Onyx Black and Ultramarina Blue shades. For that price, the OnePlus 8 offers a 6.78-inch QHD+ curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with 12 gigs of RAM. You also get support for 30W wired as well as fast 30W fast wireless charging.

OnePlus 7T – $230 off

Coming to last year’s OnePlus 7T, it is currently available at just $369 at B&H Photo Video, which means you save $230 on its regular asking price of $599. Despite being a year old, the OnePlus 7T still packs quite a punch. You get a 6.55-inch FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus running the show, triple rear cameras (48MP primary + 12MP telephoto + 16MP ultra-wide), and a 3,800mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. On the software side, you get the excellent OxygenOS 10 skin based on Android 10, and an assurance of long-term software updates.

OnePlus 9 series will consist of not two but three phones

OnePlus is said to be working on unveiling the OnePlus 9 series earlier than usual next year. It could launch its next flagship in March 2021. We were expecting the Chinese company to launch two models, the vanilla OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. Now, a report claims that the company is working on three OnePlus 9 models. It could launch the OnePlus ‘9E‘ alongside the two regular variants.

The latest development comes from tipster Max Jambor, who took to Twitter to tweet his Voice post.

The tweet is accompanied by an image that mentions the names of upcoming OnePlus 9 series smartphones. In his post, he goes on to write that OnePlus is trying a similar approach to Samsung by offering a device in every segment. As for the OnePlus 9E, it is still unknown if it sits ahead of the vanilla variant in terms of price or is a budget offering.

It is still unknown if the OnePlus 9E sits ahead of the vanilla variant in terms of price or is a budget offering.

Recently, images of OnePlus 9 Pro were leaked online. It is likely to feature a glass rear panel and a redesigned camera module that shares some similarity with the one present on the OnePlus 8T. The camera module has a contrasting glossy finish compared to the rest of the rear panel. It consists of four cameras out of which, two of the lenses are disproportionately larger compared to the rest of the two cameras. The OnePlus 9 Pro is also said to come equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate. The single selfie camera is positioned in the top-left corner of the display. The OnePlus 9 Pro’s display will reportedly measure 6.7-inch, and be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 875 SoC.

That said, we don’t have any information about the OnePlus 9E at the moment. However, we expect more leaks to emerge as we head towards the March launch.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 gets a Mystic Red trim, Galaxy Z Flip 5G now comes in Mystic White

It's only fair to share...Share on RedditShare on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Tumblr

Samsung has today introduced two new color options for two of its premium offerings just in time for the holiday season. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G now comes in a new Mystic Red color option. At first look, it looks similar to the bright red makeover that Samsung gave to the Galaxy Note 10. But instead of the glossy finish on the latter, the Mystic Red trim of the Galaxy Note 20 sports a frosted finish, which should do a better job at keeping fingerprint marks and smudges at bay. The new Mystic Red shade of the Galaxy Note 20 joins the existing color palette that includes three options – Mystic Bronze, Mystic Green, and Mystic Gray.

Samsung has also introduced a new color option for its clamshell foldable phone – the Galaxy Z Flip 5G – and is calling it Mystic White. This one has an almost pearl white finish that takes some inspiration from the Mystic White shade of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. To recall, Samsung has been selling the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in only two color options so far – Mystic Bronze and Mystic Gray.

Christmas came early for Samsung!

The Galaxy Note 20 5G in Mystic Red and Galaxy Z Flip 5G in Mystic White will be up for grabs starting 12:01 am ET November 30 via Samsung’s official online store. However, Samsung is yet to detail the availability of these new color options via other third-party outlets.

As of now, buyers can avail an instant rebate of $150 when they purchase the Galaxy Note 20 and can also get $550 as a trade-in value. Plus, you also get a $100 voucher that can be used towards the purchase of accessories. Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, customers can save up to $1000 on the foldable phone’s purchase with an eligible trade-in offer. You can also check out other attractive Cyber Monday offers on devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on the Samsung store.
