LeEco has a Quad HD, SD821 and 16MP front cam-sporting powerhouse in the works

At the time of this writing, LeEco’s first ever LeRewards Flash Sale event stateside can still net you a $100 Le S3 instant rebate or $100 off the list price of the high-end Le Pro3 for a few more hours.

But if you’re late to the promo, fret not, the same discounts will be available in the weeks to come, lowering the two’s tags to $150 and $300 respectively. Or you could wait and hope that the Chinese entertainment giant brings additional super-affordable Android smartphones to US shores before long, possibly starting with the mysterious LEX850 recently cleared by Tenaa.

While China’s FCC counterpart reveals no product images, it gives us enough dirt on this upcoming 5.7-incher’s specifications to assume we’re looking at an incremental Le Pro3 upgrade. Maybe a LeEco Le Pro 3S or even a full-on Le Pro 4 sequel.

The display is not only ever so slightly larger (by 0.2 inches), but also sharper, with 2,560 x 1,440 or Quad HD resolution, and a Snapdragon 821, not 820, processor runs the hardware show. What’s weird is the massive 4,070 mAh battery inside the Le Pro3 shrinks to 3,900 mAh capacity, yet the LEX850 measures 8mm in thickness, up from 7.5.

Other features apparently include an average-sounding 13MP rear camera, mind-blowing 16MP selfie shooter, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and at least at the moment, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on the software side of things.
