Asus Zenfone 5z with 19:9 display, AI dual cameras to launch in India on July 4

Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus has announced that it will launch its latest flagship device, the Zenfone 5z in India on July 4. The device was teased on Flipkart earlier and it will be launched in India as a Flipkart exclusive.

The Zenfone 5z was announced during MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018 in Barcelona earlier this year and it is currently available in Europe. In Taiwan, the 4GB RAM variant of the device has been priced at TWD 14,990 (Rs. 33,700) and the 6GB RAM variant has been priced at TWD 16,990 (38,200). It is expected to be launched in India at similar prices and will compete with the OnePlus 6 in India.

Asus Zenfone 5z Specifications

The Asus Zenfone 5z runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 skinned on top and features a 6.2-inch full HD+ Super IPS display with a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It comes with Glove Touch support and has Corning Gorilla glass protection.

In terms of performance, the Asus Zenfone 5z is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. In terms of memory, the device will be available in three variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Asus Zenfone 5z features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with 1.4μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS, and a secondary 8MP OV8856 sensor with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it sports an 8MP OV8856 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

The Asus Zenfone 5z is powered by 3,300mAh battery and has ASUS BoostMaster fast charging support. Other features of the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, USB Type-C port and Dual speakers with NXP 9874 Smart AMP.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro spotted with Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB RAM and 5,400mAh battery

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to soon launch its latest phablet, dubbed called Mi Max 3. The device is expected to be launched in two variants – the standard Mi Max 3 and the premium Mi Max 3 Pro.

Earlier, the Mi Max 3 was spotted in a TENAA listing and now, the Mi Max 3 Pro has been spotted on Xiaomi’s website, revealing the major specifications of the device. The listing has been removed now but the specifications of the Mi Max 3 Pro are out.

Like the name suggests, the Mi Max 3 Pro will be the premium variant of the Mi Max 3 and it will be powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Mi Max 3 on the other hand is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4GB / 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The Mi Max 3 will feature a 6.9-inch full HD+ notch-less display, a dual camera setup at the back with the primary sensor being Sony IMX363 and it will be powered by a 5,400mAh battery. The TENAA listing had revealed that the Mi Max 3 will also feature a 6.9-inch display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution.

At the back, the Mi Max 3 and Mi Max 3 Pro are expected to feature the same design as the Redmi Note 5 Pro with a vertically placed dual camera setup, an LED flash between the sensors and a fingerprint sensor in the middle.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro to get Android 8.0 Oreo with MIUI 9.5 update

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that its popular budget smartphone in India, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will be finally upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo with the upcoming MIUI 9.5 update. The update is scheduled to start rolling out from June 29.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in India in February, running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9 skinned on top. While the device was launched with decent specifications and a competitive price, the older Android version was an issue for many users.

During the launch, the company had announced that the device will be upgraded to Android Oreo and now, the company has announced on Twitter that it will start rolling out the Android Oreo update for the device from June 29. The company has said that the update will be rolled out in a phased manner and if you are not a part of the first phase, you will get the update soon.

Xiaomi had earlier rolled out the MIUI 9.5 update to some Redmi Note 5 Pro users, but the company had to roll it back as it had many bugs. Now, the company seems to have removed the bugs and is ready to push the update once again.

At the moment, it is not known what new features Xiaomi is adding with this update, but it is expected to bring dual 4G VoLTE and 4K video recording support. The device is also expected to soon receive the MIUI 10 Global Beta.

Xiaomi announces Redmi 6 Pro with dual rear cameras, Mi Pad 4 with Snapdragon 660 SoC

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced a new budget smartphone and a tablet, called the Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4 in China. The devices have been in the news for some time now after they were leaked, revealing their design and specifications.

The Mi Pad 4 is the successor to the popular Mi Pad 3 that was launched in China in April last year. The Redmi 6 Pro is the first Redmi device to feature a notch and we may see more Redmi devices being launched with a notch in the future.

The Mi Pad 4 has been launched in WiFi and WiFi + LTE variants and will go on sale in China from June 27, starting from CNY 1,099 for the WiFi variant and CNY 1,499 for the LTE variant. The Redmi 6 Pro will be available starting at CNY 999 starting from June 26.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 skinned on top and features a 5.84-inch full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device has a notch at the top for the front camera and sensors.

In terms of performance, the Mi Pad 4 is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. In terms of memory, the device will be available in two variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Mi Pad 4 features a single 13MP primary camera with OV13855 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it sports a 5MP selfie camera with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor and f/2.0 aperture.

The Mi Pad 4 is powered by a 6,000mAh battery and connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type – C port.

Pricing and Availability

The Redmi 6 Pro is priced at CNY 999 for the 3GB RAM variant, CNY 1,199 for the 4GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and CNY 1,299 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It will be available in China starting from June 26 in Rose Gold, Gold, Blue, Black and Red colors.

The Mi Pad 4 has been priced at CNY 1,099 for the 3GB RAM variant, CNY 1,399 for the 4GB RAM variant and the LTE variant has been priced at CNY 1,499.

Nokia X6 support goes live in India, expected to launch soon

Finnish smartphone maker Nokia is all set to introduce its mid-range smartphone, the Nokia X6 in India. While there has been no announcement from the company, the support page of the device has gone live in India, hinting that the device may soon make its way to the country.

The Nokia X6 and the Nokia 5.1 Plus recently received Bluetooth certification and the X6 was also spotted receiving Taiwan's NCC certification. The device may soon be launched in other countries apart from India. In India, the device will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Zenfone Max Pro M1, which are powered by the same SoC.

Nokia X6 Specifications

The Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be upgradable to Android P. It features a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is the first device from Nokia to feature a notch.

In terms of performance, the Nokia X6 is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. In terms of memory, the device will be available in three variants - 4GB + 32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro official renders, unboxing images revealed ahead of launch

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has posted the official renders of its upcoming budget device, dubbed as the Redmi 6 Pro on Weibo, a Chinese social media portal. Additionally, a Chinese website has also posted unboxing images of the device ahead of its launch.

Xiaomi is scheduled to launch the Redmi 6 Pro and the Mi Pad 4 in China on June 25. The specifications and an image of the device were revealed earlier when it was spotted on TENAA and now, the official renders and unboxing images have revealed the complete design of the device.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro looks similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro at the back but at the front, it has a 19:9 notch display, making it the first Redmi device to feature a notch and the second device from Xiaomi with a notch after the Mi 8 series.

It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 skinned on top and features a 5.84-inch full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has confirmed that the company will launch the Redmi 6 Pro and the Mi Pad 4 at an event in China on June 25. The Redmi 6 Pro is expected to be launched with a notch display, making it the first Redmi device to sport a notch.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 will be the successor of the popular tablet Mi Pad 3 that was launched in China in April last year. The Redmi 6 Pro was expected to launch along with the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A in China, but the company decided to launch it along with the Mi Pad 4. Earlier, Xiaomi had launched the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer Edition with a notch display and the teaser for the Redmi 6 Pro hints at a notch display.

While we know the complete specifications of the Redmi 6 Pro due to its TENAA listing, all we know about the Mi Pad 4 is that it will feature a single rear camera. The Redmi 6 Pro teaser has revealed that the device will sport a 19:9 notch display, which is similar to what was revealed in the TENAA listing.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro in terms of design at the back but at the front, it will sport a notch and a bigger chin at the bottom. It is expected to be launched in Black, Blue, Gold, Gray, Pink, Red, Rose Gold, Silver and White color options.

If you look at the teaser, you will notice that the players in the field hint at these three words – AI, 625 and 4,000, hinting that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4,000mAh battery and have AI capabilities.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Expected Specifications

As mentioned earlier, not much is known about the Mi Pad 4. It is expected to feature the same metal body design as the Mi Pad 3 with stereo speakers up front. It is rumored to be powered by a 6,000mAh battery with 5V/2A charging support.

Additionally, Xiaomi is also expected to launch an LTE version of the Mi Pad 4 along with the regular variant. The teaser of the device has revealed that it will feature a single rear camera without an LED flash.

Vivo expected to launch the Nex A and Nex S in India in July

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo recently unveiled two flagship devices in its home country China, dubbed as the Nex A and Nex S. Now, there are some reports suggesting that the two Nex devices will be launched in India in the second half of July with a starting price of Rs. 40,000.

At the moment it is not known if Vivo will launch both, the Nex A and Nex S smartphones, however, the expected price tag of Rs. 40,000 is close to that of the Snapdragon 710 powered Nex A and the Snapdragon 845 powered Nex S is expected to be priced higher.

Vivo had recently announced the Vivo X21, the first device with an in-display fingerprint sensor in India and the Nex S is the second device from the company to feature this technology. Apart from this, both the devices sport a pop-up selfie camera and Screen SoundCasting Technology to replace the traditional earpiece.

Vivo Nex A, Nex S Specifications

The Vivo Nex A and Nex S run on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s Funtouch OS 4.0 and Energy UI skinned on top. Both the devices feature a 6.59-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2316 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. While the Vivo Nex S features an in-display fingerprint sensor, the affordable Nex A sports a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of performance, the Vivo Nex A is powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with Adreno 616 GPU. In terms of memory, the device is available with 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. The Nex S is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU.  In terms of memory, the Nex S is available in two variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Vivo Nex A and Nex S feature a dual camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary dual pixel sensor with 4-axis OIS, f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocus and a secondary 5MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, both the devices sport an 8MP selfie pop-up camera with f/2.0 aperture. Vivo has used micro-stepping motors with independent drive ICs and precision control algorithms for the pop-up camera.

The Vivo Nex A and Nex S are powered by a 4,000mAh battery with fast charge support and connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0 LE and a USB Type-C port.

The Vivo Nex A and Nex S are expected to be priced starting at Rs. 40,000. In China, the Nex A is available for CNY 3,898 (Rs. 41,133) and the Nex S is available starting at CNY 4,498 (Rs. 47,465).

Nokia X6 Global variant, Nokia 5.1 Plus receive Bluetooth Certification

HMD Global recently announced the Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 in China and now, the Nokia 5.1 Plus has received Bluetooth certification along with two more variants of the Nokia X6, hinting that the company may soon launch the devices globally.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus was recently leaked after its renders surfaced online, revealing its design. At the same time, the Nokia X6 Global variant had received NCC certification, and now it has received Bluetooth certification, hinting at an imminent launch.

A recent report had revealed that the Nokia 5.1 Plus will be powered by a Mediatek SoC and now a Nokia smartphone with the model number TA-1109 has been spotted in Bluetooth certification site running on a Mediatek SoC. We can assume that this will be Nokia 5.1 Plus as the company is not expected to launch any other budget device right now.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus renders had revealed that the device will sport a vertically placed dual camera setup at the back with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor placed below it. At the front, the device will have a notch at the top to house the sensors and a chin at the bottom with Nokia branding.

Coming to Nokia X6 Global variant, two devices with model numbers TA-1083 and TA-1116 have also been spotted along with the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The TA-1116 model was also spotted on a Russian certification site and Taiwan’s NCC, revealing that it will be launched in these countries as well.

Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo has announced its much anticipated mid-range device, dubbed the Lenovo Z5 at an event in Beijing, China. The Lenovo Z5 is the latest device from the company in the Z series and features a revamped design with a dual camera setup and a notch on the display.

The Lenovo Z5 has been in the news for quite some time now and there was a lot of hype around the device due to rumors that suggested that the Z5 will come with features such as a huge battery with almost 45 days of standby time, edge-to-edge notch-less display and glass back.

Lenovo had also teased that the device will feature a notch-less edge-to-edge display but the device has a notch at the top. The only thing that is true from the rumors is the glass back. The Lenovo Z5 has been priced at CNY 1,299 for the base variant with 64GB storage and the 128GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 1,799. The device is available for pre-order starting from today and will go on sale in China on June 12.

Moto G6, Moto G6 Play launched in India with 18:9 display, Android Oreo and more

Lenovo-owned Motorola today launched its budget devices, the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play smartphones at an event in India. The devices were launched in Brazil earlier this year along with the Moto G6 Plus. Motorola has not launched the Moto G6 Plus in India right now and it is expected to be launched soon.

The Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play feature similar designs but are different in terms of specifications. While the Moto G6 features a dual camera setup, the G6 Play is equipped with a single rear camera. The Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play are available starting at Rs.13,999 and Rs.11,999 respectively.

 Moto G6 Specifications 

The Moto G6 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and offer a near stock Android experience. It features a 5.7-inch full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Coming to the camera department, the Moto G6 Play features a 13MP single rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. On the front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera with an LED flash.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite gets certified with 19:9 notch display, dual rear cameras

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is currently working on multiple budget and mid-range devices, including the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A that were certified by TENAA last month. Now, the Mi A2 Lite has been certified by the IMDA with the model number M1805D1SG.

The TENAA certification along with the IMDA certification has revealed that the device bearing the model number M1805D1SG will be launched as the Mi A2 Lite. The recently launched Mi 6X is expected to be launched as the Mi A2, succeeding the Mi A1, which was the company’s first Android One device.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Specifications

While the Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched as an Android One device, the Mi A2 will reportedly run on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 skinned on top. It will feature a 5.84-inch full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The recently launched Mi 8 series featured a notch display and the Mi A2 Lite will sport a similar notch.

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite will be powered by the octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of memory, the device will feature three variants – 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite sports a vertically placed dual rear camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera and a secondary camera with an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 5MP selfie camera.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/, Bluetooth 5, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device will sport a fingerprint sensor at the rear.

Samsung Galaxy J4 launched with 5.5-inch HD display, 13MP rear camera and more

Korean smartphone maker Samsung has announced the launch of a new budget device in its J series, dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy J4. The device was introduced last week and has now made its way to India. The device is available starting at Rs. 9,990 from offline retailers in the country.

While it is placed in the budget segment and not much can be expected from a budget device, the Galaxy J4 disappoints in terms of specifications. It features a 16:9 display, single cameras at both front and back and lacks a fingerprint sensor. These days, 18:9 display, dual camera setup and fingerprint sensors are becoming more popular in the budget segment. Recently, Samsung had launched four budget and mid-range devices in its Galaxy J and Galaxy A series.

Samsung Galaxy J4 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy J4 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It will compete with devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Realme 1 and other recently launched devices that feature an 18:9 display.

In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy J4 is powered by an octa core Exynos 7570 SoC coupled with Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. In terms of memory, the device is available in two variants – 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy J4 features a 13MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS and FM Radio. Additional features on the device include Samsung Mall and dual apps support.

OnePlus 6 Silk White Limited Edition to go on sale in India from June 5

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced that its flagship device, the OnePlus 6 Silk White Limited Edition will be available in India starting from June 5. The device was launched in Midnight Black, Mirror Black, Silk White Limited Edition and Marvel Avengers Limited Edition.

The Midnight Black and Mirror Black Edition went up for sale on May 21 for Amazon prime users and May 22 for regular users. OnePlus has claimed that in the first 10 minutes of its sale on Amazon, the company had earned over 100 crores. The Marvel Avengers Limited Edition went on sale on Amazon on May 29 and is currently out of stock.

Now, OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus 6 Silk White Limited Edition will be available in India exclusively from Amazon India and Oneplus.in starting from June 5 at 12PM. The Silk White Limited Edition is available in only one variant – 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.

Apart from the Silk White Limited Edition, the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition will also be available from June 5. While Marvel Avengers Limited Edition went on sale on May 29, the device went out of stock quickly and it will be available once again from June 5.

Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE announced with AI dual cameras, notch display and more

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced its latest flagship devices in the Mi series dubbed as the Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE at its annual launch event to celebrate its 8th anniversary. Apart from this, the company also announced the Mi Band 3, MIUI 10, MI VR Standalone and Mi TV 4 75” at the event.

While the company announced the MIUI 10 today, the newly launched Mi series devices are currently running on MIUI 9 and are scheduled to be upgraded to MIUI 10 in the coming days. The Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition feature similar specifications but differ in terms of design. The Mi 8 SE has been launched with the Snapdragon 710 SoC, making it the first device to be powered by the recently announced SoC.

Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition Specifications

As mentioned earlier, the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition feature similar specifications but differ in terms of design. Both the devices run on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 skinned on top and are scheduled to receive the MIUI 10 update soon.

While the Mi 8 features a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, the Mi 8 Explorer Edition is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor, similar to the recently launched Vivo X21. Additionally, it has a transparent back panel, allowing you to see some of the internals of the device.

 

The Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition feature a 6.21-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with DCI-P3 color gamut, a resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. Both the devices sport a notch at the top which houses the front camera, proximity sensor, earpiece and infrared sensor.

In terms of performance, the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition are powered by the octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. In terms of memory, the Mi 8 will be available in three variants – 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 6GB + 256GB. The Mi 8 Explorer Edition has been launched with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE feature a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, 26mm wide-angle lens, 4-axis OIS, Optical zoom and a secondary 12MP camera with f/2.4 aperture, 2X zoom and 1.0µm pixel size. On the front, they sport a 20MP selfie camera with AI portrait support.

The Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition are powered by a 3,400mAh and 3,000mAh battery respectively, with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support. While the Mi 8 features IR face unlock, the Explorer Edition supports 3D face unlock. Connectivity options on the devices include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Dual frequency GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a USB Type-C port.

In terms of performance, the Mi 8 SE is powered by the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with a Adreno 616 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has been launched in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6BG RAM + 64GB storage.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 skinned on top and is scheduled to get the MIUI 10 update soon. It features a 5.88-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a notch, a resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9, similar to the Mi 8.

Coming to the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE features an AI dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture along with a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the front, the device sports a 20MP selfie camera with AI portrait support.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is powered by a 3,120mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support and features a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options on the device include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C port, GPS and Bluetooth 5.0.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi Mi 8 is priced at CNY 2,699 for the 64GB storage variant, CNY 2,999 for the 128GB storage variant and CNY 3,299 for the 256GB variant. The Mi 8 Explorer Edition is priced at CNY 3,699. Both the phones will be available in China from June 5 and are expected to be launched In India soon.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE has been priced at CNY 1,799 for the 4GB RAM variant and 1,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. It will go on sale in China starting from June 8.
