There were various reports earlier that claimed the Sony Xperia Z1 camera breaks upon tinkering with the device’s bootloader and now Sony has made an official statement about the issue. “Warning! At the moment, unlocking the Xperia™ Z1 boot loader will stop the camera functionality. Note that Xperia™ Z1 is not listed among the supported devices”, says the official wording.
