Sony Xperia Z2 survives six weeks in the sea

Sony has been really pushing water resistant phones as of late, with many of its latest phones featuring flaps everywhere in order to secure the interior from water damage. But according to Sony, its flagship Z2 can only be kept “under 1.5 m of fresh water for up to 30 minutes in compliance with IP58″ — a far cry from six weeks at the bottom of the ocean.
