Toshiba Encore hands-on (Video)

Early this morning we caught wind of the Toshiba Encore, the latest eight-inch Windows 8 tablet to go official. While not the first tablet running such software in that form factor, running an Intel Bay Trail Atom sure could give it a leg up on the competition, and the very attractive sticker price of a mere $330 could make the Encore difficult to ignore. The Toshiba Encore brings Windows 8 to an 8-inch tablet this November for $330

We know that Acer beat everybody to the punch with the announcement of the W3, which is the world’s first Windows 8 tablet to fit in an 8-inch display form factor. Still, one thing we’ve learned about the mobile market is that being the first to announce something is not a guarantee that it’ll actually reach the market faster or be more affordable than the rest of the competitors that’ll arrive at the scene.
