Last-minute Christmas shoppers can once again BOGO Samsung Galaxy phones at T-Mobile

Never to be outdone by AT&T, T-Mobile follows up its recent DIRECTV Now promotion and One Plus add-on upgrades with another BOGO deal of its own. As straightforward and advantageous as always, this lets you score a free Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, Edge+, Note 5 or J7 upon purchasing a Galaxy phone of equal or greater value.

You just need to activate two separate T-Mobile One lines of service, and get at least one of the Android devices on an eligible Equipment Installment Plan. After taking care of any down payment (which you’ll also be credited for), a mail-in rebate in the form of a prepaid MasterCard card will be promptly sent your way.

It’s that easy, and if you hurry, you can procure a pair of awesome tech Christmas gifts for a super-low combined price right at the eleventh hour. Oh, yeah, and the “Un-Carrier” still offers to cover your remaining device payments and early termination fees with the competition (up to $650 per line) if you choose to switch networks.

Last but not least, the Samsung Galaxy On5 continues to cost $0 down and $0 a month with a T-Mobile One “plan.” And still, John Legere insists there’s something even cooler around the corner.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 gets Grace UX update

Software and user interface change-ups are the rage this weekend as the Galaxy Note 5the latest and greatest Galaxy Note out there — finally gets the bright and refined Grace UX update. This interface originally appeared on the Galaxy Note 7.

XDA-Developers forum member TokyoGuy just happened to be swiping around his recently reset Note 5 after returning his recalled Note 7. The Note 5 received an 600MB OTA update and, doing his due diligence, TokyoGuy, also known as Matthew, downloaded and installed it.

“When the phone rebooted, I was absolutely floored to find none other than the Note 7’s Grace UX on the phone,” Matthew said.

The feature set also includes the nighttime-oriented blue light filter, something that even the Galaxy S7 edge doesn’t have with its Grace UX package, though it could be a complication between Android versions — the update makes no change to the Note 5 with it being stuck on Android 6.0.1 while Android Nougat came along with the changes for the Galaxy S7.

Weirdly enough, the kernel dates back to October 24 and the unit was one specifically for KT Telecom. We’d like to see if other Note 5 units from other telcos are getting this update as-is.

Oh noes, now the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is delayed in the Netherlands

With great demand comes great responsibility to manufacture and ship enough copies of a popular device as soon after its announcement as possible. Otherwise, instead of a Galaxy S7 Edge-level blockbuster, Samsung could end up with an S6 Edge-like semi-flop on its hands, as

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 vs Galaxy Note 5: Show floor comparison

This has been an interesting year for Samsung. Sales of Galaxy S7 variants are strong, but the products released this year have been refinements, less the boundary pushing and exciting changes we saw last year. Moving from the Galaxy S5 to the S6 was a significant departure in terms of design and build materials. The move from a Galaxy S6 to the S7 was less dramatic, but Samsung representatives have been very vocal about the fact that this was a year to refine Samsung devices. Instead of significant design changes, this was an opportunity to bring back features which were missing from 2015 ...

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 specs: the hardware behind the ‘next big thing’

Some rumors (nearly all the new ones) have been proven absolutely right. Others (mostly old) were probably too hopeful. After all, it kinda sorta makes sense for Samsung to merely refine the wildly successful Galaxy S7 Edge this fall before radically transforming it into the GS8 next spring.Besides, a fair comparison for the Galaxy Note 7 is likely against its
