iQOO Z1 with Dimensity 1000+ SoC announced in China

iQOO has launched the world’s first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. It features a 6.57-inch FHD+ 20:9 LCD screen with 90.4% screen-to-body ratio, and 144Hz refresh rate. You can switch between 144Hz, 120Hz and 90Hz.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers with ultra-linear large-amplitude speaker unit at the bottom.

The iQOO Z1 5G comes in Sky Blue, Blue Black, and Silver colors. It is priced at 2198 yuan (~ US$ 309 / Rs 23,400) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant, 2498 yuan (~ US$ 351 / Rs 26,600) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant costs 2798 yuan (~ US$ 393 / Rs 29,820).

The phone will be made available for order today and will go on sale in China from June 1st.

iQOO Z1 is all set to go official on May 19. However, ahead of the launch, the company has released several renders of the device.

As per the renders, the handset will be made available in at least two color variants. It will come equipped with a quad rear camera setup housed in a vertical module at the top left corner.

Further, the right edge of the device has a volume rocker and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Moreover, as per a leaked poster, the phone will cost CNY2,498 (~ $350 / €325) for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model.

The iQOO Z1 will be the first smartphone to be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1000+ SoC. It is already confirmed to feature a 144Hz refresh rate.

As per one of the leaked images, it will also come with 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz modes alongside the high refresh rate of 144Hz.

Further, the smartphone will sport a punch-hole notch at the top right corner of the display.

Today, iQOO confirmed the launch of iQOO Z1, the first smartphone that will be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1000+ SoC.

Now, live images of the smartphone have leaked online. The iQOO Z1 is confirmed to sport a 144Hz refresh rate panel.

iQOO Z1 with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC launch date confirmed

MediaTek recently announced the Dimensity 100+ SoC that comes with a few upgraded features over the Dimensity 1000 chipset. It also confirmed that iQOO Z1 will be the first smartphone to be powered by the latest silicon.

Now, iQOO has confirmed the launch of its upcoming phone. The iQOO Z1 will be launched on May 19.

The launch poster showcases its front design. It will come with a punch-hole display with the selfie camera residing at the top left corner of the smartphone.

Further, as per the poster, the Z1 will feature a 144Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to ship with a 44W fast charger.
