Amazon Prime Day has the 16-inch MacBook Pro, products from LG, Samsung and more on sale

The official news Today begin with deals as this is the second and final Prime Day so, let’s just get to the mountain of deals. The 16in MacBook Pro is currently $320 off, leaving the Intel core i7, 16GB of RAM and 512GB variant for $2079. If you want the i9 with 1TB of storage, that one is $350 off, leaving it at $2449. The Apple Watch Series 6 is still $15 off, that leaves the 40mm variant for $385. Back to the laptops, the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is $600 off, that leaves the 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage variant for $2000 shipped, and it brings an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super. Honestly I’m kind of tired of reading all of these specs but guys, there is a crazy amount of deals in the links below on Sony phones, headphones, LG Monitors, TVs, Aukey accessories and a ton more.

The new Huawei Mate 40 to include a unique camera design

And of course TechTober isn’t over.. We’re barely going through half of it and we have some more announcements coming. We’re getting closer to the Huawei Mate 40 line and the company just put out a new teaser. The teaser shows the silhouette of the phone and shows the corners of the camera module which is apparently getting a new design. Huawei pretty much introduced stove cameras with the Mate 20 and this new stove will apparently bring somewhat of a hexagonal design. It still looks pretty similar to the one on the Mate 30, but it’s nice to see they’re still trying to switch things up. We should expect this phone on the 22nd and honestly, if it can deliver like that teaser image we got of the phone, I don’t really care about how it looks. That said, we all know a phone is about more than just the camera and the looks so we’ll see.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is starting to present erratic touchscreen issues

Now let’s talk about existing phones, particularly with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE that launched a few weeks ago. No worries, my video is coming soon. . The thing is, there are several users having touchscreen issues with it on Reddit, and I mean several. Apparently, the phone seems to be having trouble distinguishing between swipe and tap gestures. Others are complaining and saying that it’s simply not responding to touch or it just responds without you touching the phone. Of course the phone isn’t new and there’s not a crazy amount of people with the issue but, it’s enough for Samsung to address this. So far, I haven’t had any issues with my unit but I’ll keep you posted on Samsung’s response and if I have problems myself…, or it could just be that we’re in Halloween month. I know, terrible joke.

Here’s everything Apple didn’t say during its iPhone 12 event

Yesterday was Apple’s Event and of course, yesterday’s Pocketnow Daily includes pretty much everything you need to know about all of the announcements. However, there’s always a few things that Apple leaves out which have emerged recently. For starters, we know that they got rid of the EarPods and Charging brick for the 12 but they are actually removing them from all of their current line up. That includes the Xr, the SE, the 11 and the 12 Line. As some sort of consolation they are cutting the price of the EarPods in half, leaving them at $10 in the Apple Store. Apparently the 20W adaptor is now down to $20 from the original $30 so, that’s a good thing I guess. Another thing Apple usually doesn’t mention is the RAM on their new iPhones. According to a new Xcode file, the iPhone 12 Pro line packs at least 6GB of RAM, while the 12 and the 12 Mini will stick to 4GB we got with the 11. And to end with this segment, on a pretty negative note, the iPhone 12 is $799 if you buy on Verizon or AT&T with special carrier offers. If you go T-Mobile or SIM unlocked, the price jumps to $829. Definitely not cool Apple, as a ton of us go SIM free.

OnePlus Buds Z earbuds promise bombastic bass on a $45.99 budget

OnePlus has today launched a new pair of true wireless earbuds – the OnePlus Buds Z. The new budget wireless earbuds come with a new bass boost technology to deliver a thumping bass. OnePlus has equipped its latest wearable with 10mm dynamic drivers that work in tandem with the stereo system that is backed by Dolby Atmos. The latest OnePlus audio wearable comes with an IP55 rating, which means they can handle sweat exposure and accidental liquid splashes.

The OnePlus Buds Z are claimed to last 20 hours on a single charge. Plus, they can provide up to 3 hours of playback time with just 10-minutes of charging time. Bluetooth 5.0 handles the pairing duties, and there is also a new Quick Pair feature that OnePlus claims will “deliver exceptional sound when taking a conference call, watching a movie or simply enjoying music on the go.”

OnePlus will launch two TWS earbuds next week, and here’s your first look at one of them

Late last month, we heard rumors about OnePlus working on a new pair of true wireless earbuds called the OnePlus Buds Z. A few weeks later, OnePlus confirmed that a new wearable audio device is indeed in the pipeline and will break cover during an online event on October 14, which is also when the OnePlus 8T goes official. While leaks and speculations have been aplenty, we might finally have our first look at the OnePlus Buds Z (via XDA-Developers). XDA senior member Some_Random_Username claims to have extracted renders of the OnePlus Buds Z from an APK file.

Starting with the design, the OnePlus Buds looks somewhat similar to the Oppo’s Enco W31 and the Honor Magic Earbuds, thanks to the angular design of the main earpiece. Unlike the vanilla OnePlus Buds, the OnePlus Buds Z rock an in-ear design with silicone ear tips. The elongated capsule-shaped charging case has a USB Type-C port and an LED on the front. We get to see the OnePlus Buds Z in White and Silver colors, but the APK also mentions the existence of a third black color option

But as per a report from 91Mobiles (in collaboration with leakster Ishan Agarwal), OnePlus is gearing up to launch not one, but two true wireless earbuds – the standard OnePlus Buds Z and the OnePlus Buds Z Bass Edition. Starting with the OnePlus Buds Z, they will reportedly come with an IP55 rating and are said to pack 10mm drivers will audio tuning done by Dirac Audio and Dolby Atmos. They are said to last 5 hours on a single charge while the charging case will add another 15 hours of playtime. Fast charging support is also on the table, while Bluetooth v5.0 will handle wireless connectivity. The OnePlus Buds Z will rely on passive noise cancellation.

As for the OnePlus Buds Z Bass Edition, they are claimed to pack 9.2mm drivers and will offer an extra dose of bass output. But the latter also means the battery life takes a hit, and as a result, they will offer 17 hours of playtime (earbuds + case) on a single charge. However, support for fast charging ensures that the OnePlus Buds Z can last up to 10 hours with just 10 minutes of charging time

OnePlus teases a new audio wearable, probably the OnePlus Buds Z earbuds

OnePlus is ready to unveil its next smartphone – the OnePlus 8T – during an online event on October 14, but that will not be the only device that arrives this month. As per leaks, OnePlus is planning to unveil five other devices later this month, in addition to the OnePlus 8T, and one of them might be a pair of new true wireless earbuds. Ending the speculation, OnePlus has tweeted an official teaser image that apparently shows the silhouette of its next true wireless earbuds. And if there was any doubt regarding what device it is, the tagline – “A whole new world of sound” – confirms what we’ve been anticipating all along.

Now, OnePlus has not revealed any technical details about these about earbuds and what they will be called. However, as per a series of riddles posted by the company on Twitter, the upcoming earbuds will weigh just 4.35 grams, which means they will be lighter than the OnePlus Buds. Additionally, OnePlus teased that its next earbuds will give you a totally immersive sound experience and that they will support fast charging as well.

And in case you’re wondering that the devices being teased by OnePlus can be a pair of over-the-ear headphones or wired Bluetooth earphones, the company clarifies that as well. The last teaser says “sets your music free”, which is also the marketing phrase used for the OnePlus Buds true wireless earbuds.  Now, coming to the name, reliable leakster Max J. recently claimed that the upcoming true wireless earbuds from the company might be called OnePlus Buds Z.

Also, if you look closely at the teaser images shared by OnePlus, it appears to be a top-view of silicone eartips, which means we are looking at an in-ear design on the OnePlus Buds Z similar to the AirPods Pro, and not the rounded half in-ear approach of the OnePlus Buds. And thanks to an in-ear design, there are speculations that the OnePlus Buds Z might also offer Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for a more immersive listening experience.

OnePlus Buds Z to be company’s budget TWS earphones: Rumor

Earlier this year, OnePlus forayed into the TWS earphones category with the launch of OnePlus Buds. Now, according to the rumors, the company is gearing up to launch yet another device in the segment. OnePlus’ Bluetooth audio accessory lineup currently includes the OnePlus Bullets Wireless, OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2, OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z, and the OnePlus Buds. Notably, the new product wouldn’t be an upgrade to the OnePlus Buds but a more affordable pair of TWS earphones. The upcoming product could be called OnePlus Buds Z.

The OnePlus Buds Z were first spotted by XDA-Developers in the OxygenOS 11 Beta. Now, tipster Max J. has shared some details surrounding the product. He says the OnePlus Buds Z will be more affordable than the original OnePlus Buds. We expect the former to be a toned down version of the latter. For reference, the OnePlus Buds cost $80.

As for the specs, we don’t have any information regarding the OnePlus Buds Z. However, as for the OnePlus Buds, they are claimed to last 30 hours on a full charge, while charging it for 10 minutes will deliver enough juice for 10 hours of music playback. They come with 13.4mm drivers that offer support for Dirac Audio Tuner and Dolby Atmos for a stereo effect. OnePlus also claims that the Fnatic Mode brings audio latency down to 103ms. The TWS earphones feature half in-ear design and come with an IPX4 certification, which means they can handle sweat and occasional liquid splashes with ease.
