For all the efforts cellular operators undertake to improve the quality and breadth of their networks, sometimes you just can’t seem to lock on to a strong signal. Whether that’s because you’re out in the country, or so deep in the urban jungle that signals struggle to penetrate through to your forty-third-floor cubicle, it’s always nice to have a backup plan. If you’ve got a fast local network, WiFi can pick up that slack in a pinch, and if your carrier also supports WiFi-based calling, you can even stay in touch with full voice coverage.
