Previous generation iPad Pro models are up to $120 off right now

We had a blast watching Apple’s Spring Loaded event, where we saw the launch of new Apple products, including the AirTags, an iMac refresh, and a new iPad Pro lineup. Now, new products always make the previous generation devices drop their prices, and that’s precisely what happened to the fourth generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro and the second-gen 11-inch model.

You can currently get up to $120 savings on the previous generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, depending on the storage variant you go for, as the 512GB variant is now up for grabs at just $1,179 on its Silver color variant. The Space Gray model is $100 off, which is still a nice discount. The 128GB variant is getting a $69 discount, leaving it at $939, while the 256GB option sells for $999 with $100 savings on WiFi-only models. If you want LTE support, your savings start at $69, with the 128GB model selling at $1,080, while the rest will give you a $99 discount. This means you can get the 256GB for $1,150, the 512GB for $1,350 and the 1TB option for $1,550.

The smaller 11-inch iPad Pro is getting a $69 discount on its 128GB variant, meaning you can get one for $730. The 256GB option sells for $800 after a $99 discount, while the 1TB option can be yours for $1,199 with $100 savings on the WiFi-only version. If you’re looking to get LTE connectivity, you can start with the 128GB that’s now selling at $880 with $69 savings. the 256GB option is available for $950, the 512GB is going for $1,150, and the 1TB option can be yours for $1,350, after they’ve all received a $99 discount. And the best part is that these deals are also being matched at B&H, in case you don’t want to shop on Amazon.com.

However, you can also head over to Best Buy, where you will find the latest iPhone 12 lineup getting up to $800 discounts with qualified activation and trade-in of an iPhone 7 or newer. First, you have to choose between AT&T and Sprint, which is now part of T-Mobile, to score the best savings, or go to the Verizon options to get up to $700 on the iPhone 12 and the 12 Pro.

And while you’re at it, check out the latest deal on the HomePod mini + Wemo WiFi Smart Plug that’s currently selling for $110 after receiving a $15 discount, and start to make your home a bit smarter. We also posted some deals on more items that will help you achieve that, so take a look and save big bucks.

120Hz refresh rates and smaller a notch may finally arrive in the iPhone 13

While this is not the first time we get rumors talking about the new displays on the upcoming iPhone 13 lineup, this is one of the first times we get what seems to be some evidence behind it. We’ve been talking about the possibility of getting 120Hz refresh rates and a smaller notch in an iPhone since before the 12 lineup was released. However, the current iPhone lineup had to ditch 120Hz refresh rate displays to favor its battery, and well the only notch that got smaller was the one on the iPhone 12 mini.

Now, it seems that we will indeed get this feature in the upcoming lineup, as a well-known analyst has just commented on the matter. Ross Young used his Twitter account to post some information regarding the display in the upcoming iPhone 13 lineup. He believes that we will receive two devices with LTPO displays, which would enable 120Hz refresh rates. Said devices are expected to be the higher-end iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Buy iPhone 12

The new LTPO OLED displays are more power-efficient, which means that they wouldn’t be so demanding on the iPhone’s battery, hence allowing the 120HZ feature to finally make its debut on these iOS devices. However, that’s not the only improvement that may arrive with the iPhone 13. We have seen a couple of leaks showing what is expected to be the glass front of the iPhone 13 lineup, and now, leaker DuanRui has posted images of what could be the newly redesigned notch for the iPhone 13.

We can clearly see the size difference between the notch in the iPhone 12 and what seems to be the possible “film samples” representing the final notch in the upcoming iPhone 13. These samples suggest that the new notch could be a bit taller than the current design, but it would be 30 percent narrower.

OnePlus 9R vs iPhone 12 series: Which one justifies the premium you pay?

It's only fair to share...Share on RedditShare on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Tumblr

OnePlus pulled a surprise (sort of) last month when it added a third phone to the OnePlus 9 series – christened the OnePlus 9R. The phone is essentially a reborn OnePlus 8T, but with the new Snapdragon 870 SoC, which in itself is a reincarnated Snapdragon 865. Phew… too many revivals in the tech industry these days. The OnePlus 9R is oddly limited to the Indian market, where the device has been priced roughly at $550, playing in the budget segment battlefield OnePlus is known to be a champion of. While the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro have entered the bonafide flagship territory, the OnePlus 9R will be an option for buyers who are torn between Samsung and Apple’s vanilla flagships that don’t necessarily cost a bomb.

Specifically, the OnePlus will be on the list of potential buyers who are eyeing the iPhone 12 Mini or the vanilla iPhone 12. Let’s get straight into our OnePlus 9R vs iPhone 12 series comparison and find out which one would be the right pick for you:

Pocketnow Advisory: In case you’re torn between the OnePlus 9 and iPhone 12, or the OnePlus 9 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro models, we’ve done separate comparisons for them as well on Pocketnow to help you make the right decision. Additionally, we’ve compiled useful lists of the best cases to protect your shiny new OnePlus flagships, both the OnePlus 9 and its Pro sibling. And in case you’re not sure where to buy them, we’ve created a detailed OnePlus 9 series deals list for that as well. Oh, and read carefully, as you might save some dollars with ongoing discounts!

OnePlus 9R vs iPhone 12: Build and aesthetics

OnePlus 9R

Both the OnePlus 9R and iPhone 12 go with a glass-and-metal sandwich design. However, the biggest difference between the two phones is ingress protection. The iPhone 12 Mini and its Mini sibling come with an IP68-certified build and are rated to survive immersion in up to 6 meters of water for 30 minutes. If IP-rating is something that is at the top of your priority list, then the Apple offerings are where you should put your money.

OnePlus relies on Corning Gorilla Glass for protecting that smooth 120Hz display, while the Apple devices rely on Ceramic Shield that is touted to be 4x stronger at brushing off accidental drops. OnePlus 9R has a curvier profile and is a tad heavier than the Apple phones, especially when compared to the compact iPhone 12 Mini. But if you like flat sides that invoke some classic iPhone 4 vibes (and a huge notch), the iPhone 12 duo should suit your tastes well.

Now, let’s talk color options. The iPhone 12 pair is up for grabs in a choice of five colors – black, white, red, green, and blue. The OnePlus 9R, on the other hand, will be available in only two colors – Lake Blue and Carbon Black.

Display

Now, this is one area where the OnePlus 9R leaves the iPhone 12 pair far behind, thanks to one trait in particular – a 120Hz panel. It comes armed with a 6.55-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) display that offers a pixel density of 402 PPI and a circular hole-punch cutout in the top-left corner. However, it’s the 120Hz refresh rate that truly sets it apart, offering a smooth visual experience for all kinds of tasks, ranging from doom-scrolling your Twitter feed to playing Fortnite.

The iPhone 12 Mini offers a 5.4-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels, 476PPI pixel density) Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the standard iPhone 12 goes with a 6.1-inch (2532 x 1170 pixels, 460 PPI) display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The screen quality is top-notch, but the 60Hz refresh rate is somewhat of a limiting factor. Actually, it is disappointing, especially when phones that cost almost a third offer a 90Hz panel.

Internals

The OnePlus 9R draws power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, which is essentially the Snapdragon 865 revived under a different marketing name. But that doesn’t mean it is slow, as the latter was Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line processor for the year 2020, and can handle anything you throw at it without a hitch. The phone is available in two configurations  – 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB.

Coming to the iPhone 12 Pro duo, you’ll find the blazing-fast A14 Bionic chip ticking at its heart. Apple, as usual, has not revealed the amount of RAM, but you get to choose between three storage configurations – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

Now, let’s talk battery longevity. OnePlus has armed its latest ‘budget flagship’ with a 4,500 mAh battery. Again, Apple has not revealed its battery capacity but says that the iPhone 12 and its Mini sibling can last up to 17 hours and 15 hours of video playback on a single charge respectively. However, real-life tests have proven that the iPhone 12 Mini struggles to go past a day of usage.

Additionally, it is charging speeds where the OnePlus 9R leaves the iPhone 12 duo far behind. The OnePlus 9R offers support for 65W fast charging, which is claimed to fill the tank from 0-100% in just 39 minutes. However, it misses out on support for wireless charging. The iPhone 12 pair maxes out at 20W wired fast charging (up to 50% juice with 30 minutes of charging), while the MagSafe system delivers 15W of wireless charging wattage.

Cameras

iPhone 12 in blue

Before we get into the megapixel count comparisons, I’ll spell it out clearly early on – OnePlus 9R takes the cake when it comes to versatility, while the iPhone 12 handily wins in terms of features and capabilities. The quad rear camera setup of the OnePlus 9R includes a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP wide-angle snapper, a 5MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. There is a 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

On the iPhone 12 and its Mini version, you get a 12MP wide and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Selfies are taken care of by a 12MP front snapper. However, the iPhone 12 pair brings support for Dolby Vision HDR video capture at 30FPS with the front as well as the rear camera. Apple has extended the Deep Fusion and Smart HDR3 tech to all three cameras, while the front snapper also gets support for Night Mode. You can find more about the iPhone 12’s camera performance in the video below:

Pricing and availability

The iPhone 12 Mini starts at $699, while the base 64GB model of the iPhone 12 will set you back by $799. As for the OnePlus 9R, it is priced at Rs.39,999 (roughly $550, as per current conversion rates), but the tricky part is that the device likely won’t make it outside the Indian market.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, iPhone 12 cases and more products are on sale right now

We have great news for anyone looking to get their hands on a new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. The device was recently selling for $1,500 at Samsung.com, but today we’ve seen the phone’s price drop to $1,200 on any of its carrier-locked variants or the unlocked models. This deal may not be as sweet as when it used to sell for just $1,000 after an eligible trade-in. However, it’s still better than paying the full retail price, and we don’t know if we will ever see the price of this foldable phone drop as low as before, so you may want to think about this carefully.

If you’re interested in foldable devices with a clamshell design, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G or the LTE-only variant for $600 and $700, respectively. You can also check out some Motorola deals that give us the Moto RAZR 5G with a $400 discount, and you don’t need an eligible trade-in to get these savings.

If you’re looking to get a new Samsung Galaxy S21, you can grab one over at Samsung.com for $200 after an eligible trade-in. This, of course, is the vanilla variant with 128GB of storage space and a 6.2-inch display. If you want the Galaxy S21+, we have two options for you. First, you can stay on Samsung’s online store and trade-in an eligible phone to get your device for $400, or head over to B&H.com, where you can get one for $700 after a $150 discount, and you don’t need to trade-in your current device.

If you want the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with S Pen support, you can get one starting at $600 with 128GB of storage space. And since we’re already talking about phones with stylus support, we also have to include the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, as you can get the vanilla variant with 128GB for $500, while the Ultra version is now selling for $900 after an eligible trade-in.

Now, you can also score up to 60 percent savings on several cases for the latest iPhone models. First up, Apple’s Leather Folio for the iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max are both selling for $58 after getting a $71 discount, but only on their black color variants. You will also find a massive selection of OtterBox cases on sale for your iPhone 12 Pro devices, starting at $16.39 with up to 60 percent discounts. Finally, Speck Products Presidio Perfect-Clear Ombre iPhone 12 sells for $25.07 after getting a $19.88 discount, and there are several more options to choose from, so take a look.

iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5: sorry Google (video)

Anton D. Nagy contributed to this iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5 comparison.

Apple and Google have a very different approach to their line-ups when compared to competitors. While most companies are deliberate about creating a distinction between what’s affordable and what’s not, Apple and Google are really good about blurring the lines for a reason I think others should consider: brand reputation.

The best way for any company to retain customer loyalty is to not water down the experience you get, regardless of the variant you bought. If you know the Pixel brand is known for photography and timely software updates, you expect it at whatever the price the brand is being utilized. To a certain degree that gives consumers peace of mind knowing that choosing a less expensive iPhone is not really a downgrade if what they lose is features they probably don’t care about, and not quality in the experience.

This is why the Pixel 4a and the iPhone SE are so popular. You can go cheap with the confidence that performance is speedy, software updates are guaranteed, and the camera will be better than most, and I think it was a learning experience for Google. To see the company skip flagships for a year and focus more on the experience is only proof of how Apple’s iPhone XR and 11 experiments worked. Success clearly lies in the midrange, but the 2020 approach for both companies is more than interesting.

On one corner we have the iPhone 12, what Apple will never call its mid-ranger, and also the closest kin to the company’s Pro lineup ever. On the other, we have the Pixel 5, what Google calls its Ultimate 5G phone, and yet another case of mid-ranger denial. Right now there’s a bit more than a benjamin standing in-between their price tags if you read the fine print. The biggest question is, which one is the best investment for you.

iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5

Software

Let’s get the obvious out of the way first. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, part of your decision is already made based on the ecosystem you’re currently on. If you love elements like FaceTime, iMessage, your HomePod, or your Apple Watch, then you’re pretty much locked into your iPhone. Android on the other hand is a bit less stringent since pretty-much every single Google service works on an iPhone, and that even extends to their speakers and smartwatches. Unless you’ve made hefty purchases on the Google Play store that won’t follow you to Apple’s App Store, switching away from Android is easier.

I’ve always been more of a fan of Android’s versatility, but iOS 14 is making the competition tough, and it’s not just the widgets. I actually wish there were more of those six months later, but at least the apps I care about are now supporting this. For me, it’s things like the smarter App Library, and the smart hand-off that happens between products. Cases like how I still struggle to find a better smartwatch than Apple’s offering, or how much I love my AirPods Pro is proof of how valuable Apple’s Ecosystem is in adding value to any iPhone, cheap or expensive.

iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5

If only iOS had smarter services, because Siri is no match for the Google Assistant, and the widgets menu is no match for the Google feed. If Android is your jam, no phone does it better than Google’s own. From snappy performance to getting the latest version of Android on day one to the perks in notifications and home control with Android 11, to all the feature drops that Google is pushing out lately, this Pixel 5 is a true investment. I only wish it would be supported for longer, as Apple has already proven to be the king of this by pushing iOS 14 to its 5-year-old iPhone 6S.

Hardware

The hardware story is quite different though. Not sure if you noticed but this is the first time I don’t compare the best Pixel to a Pro iPhone. Not launching a flagship is kind of a smart move given our current economy, but if we’re to be fair, Apple’s mid-ranger compares to more modern flagships better than the Pixel. It has the same chip from its Pro models, supports all flavors of 5G, has the same connectivity, wireless charging, and IP rating. By contrast, Google decided to pick a midrange chip to cut the cost. It’s no slouch in things like 5G flavors and other forms of connectivity, and if anything sweetens the pot is offering double the starting storage than the iPhone for less money, and all while not skimping on wireless charging and water resistance.

iPhone 12 and Pixel 5 on table

I wouldn’t say either phone does better at 5G or any other form of wireless connection, but I do prefer the Pixel for endurance. The iPhone 12 is no slouch, but somehow Google can really stretch out its power pack for a tad longer.

I’d even say the Pixel has a better display. They’re both gorgeous OLED panels with vibrant color, contrast, and viewing angles, but the iPhone offers a brighter display at up to 1200nits that’s a hair taller and is protected by a stronger ceramic shield. Still, the Pixel has no notch, offers Always-On options, and has the 90hz refresh rate that Apple is already late to adopt. That said since the Pixel lacks an earpiece that can be convenient for phone calls in noisy environments, the iPhone does a far better job at its dual-firing speakers.

Android and iOS

As for the rest of the build, even with Google’s choice for Gorilla Glass 6 at the front, the coated aluminum at the back will do a better job at surviving a fall than Apple’s back glass, which is horribly expensive to repair. I’m a bit more inclined towards the flat finish on the iPhone 12 and its color options, but the Pixel 5 in Sage is also quite the looker. The fingerprint scanner at the back is also more useful during this pandemic than Apple’s Face ID as we continue to wait for iOS 14.5, but I do wish Google didn’t remove the privacy features we had on the Pixel 4, as only the iPhone 12 hides your notifications on the lock screen until your face is detected.

Camera

The last claim to fame for these phones is photography, and this is the department where we see the most similarities in our iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5 comparison. Both offer an ultra-wide and a primary camera, and enough software processing to make their specs almost irrelevant. Each company is focusing more on giving you the most practical and automated point and shoot in your pocket, and I think both do a comparable job.

If the Pixel was first at computational photography, the iPhone has caught up almost entirely cause you’ll have a hard time telling them apart during the day. From dynamic range to detail, to even color reproduction, the results are nearly identical at whichever focal length you pick. There were a few cases where I preferred the iPhone for closeups, but very sporadic.

iPhone 12 and Pixel 5 in hand

In low light, I think we’ve gotten to the point where other higher-end phones do better than the Pixel. I don’t think the iPhone 12 does better, especially when you switch cameras, but it’s not as if the Pixel is that much better. Obviously the further your subject, the lesser the detail on both.

Selfies and Portraits are the mixed bags where the Pixel does better in most scenarios and is able to capture more than one subject every single time. The iPhone struggles with more than one person, but then provides more natural skin tones in my opinion, even if I do prefer the Pixel’s crop or the lack thereof in portrait mode.

Pixel 5 and iPhone 12 cameras

Really the video is where the iPhone just obliterates the Pixel. If you’re a creator looking for a B Camera or home movies are your jam, you should pick the iPhone 12. Even if Stabilization is on-par, the dynamic range and detail that Apple provides are second to none, though remember these are phones, and that only applies with enough light on both cases. Maybe where that’s most evident is in selfie video, where the iPhone has been slaying most Android Phones with 4K at 60fps for a second year in a row, while the Pixel is still stuck at just 1080p, and a very uncomfortable crop for VLOGGING.

iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5 conclusion

To conclude our iPhone 12 vs Pixel 5 comparison, I agree, this is a very tough call. Software is a matter of taste, where I find Apple’s ecosystem to provide more value, along with its longer support in software, but then Google provides a more useful approach to services. The iPhone has more variety in the hardware, but then the Pixel might be more durable and gives you double the storage for less money.

iPhone 12 and Pixel 5 on table

Once you throw the camera into the equation, the Pixel is looking like a better option if you care more about photography, but if video is important to you, it falls really short when compared to the iPhone.

I know, it’s hard to pick, and I’m gonna surprise you by picking the iPhone for the first time ever, and the reason has more to do with commitment. You get more for your money with the Pixel, but for how long? Google has been fumbling around with its Pixel phones since the days of the Nexus a decade ago, while Apple is not playing around. The iPhone has been a driving force for smartphones since its inception. If you’re the kind of person that holds on to a phone for more than a year or wants a good resale value, I think the iPhone is a better pick. Just the simple fact that the chip on this iPhone is on par with Apple’s own MacBooks says a lot about performance in the long run, even if I’d stretch a little extra money for double the storage if I were you.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is still $325, more Android phones are also on sale

Save big bucks on Apple’s M1 Mac mini, Dell computers and more

iPhone 12 BOGO deals, iPad Pros and more devices are also on sale

Of course, the news today begin with deals, cause you know those haven’t stopped being great. Let’s start with Verizon which has a Buy One Get One Free deal for the iPhone 12 where you get the second phone and a bonus 250 dollars in credit. Moving on to Amazon for a second, the M1 Mac mini is currently 100 dollars off, leaving it at 800 shipped. Samsung is still running their Spring Deals where you can get the Galaxy S21 for 100 bucks, the S21 Plus for 300 bucks and the Ultra for 500 bucks, if you have an eligible device for trade-in. Back to Amazon, the OnePlus 8 is 200 dollars off, leaving it at 500 bucks. And we have more deals on iPads, Amazon Echo Speakers, other Samsung products and more.

Samsung’s app confirms a new pair of wireless earbuds are coming soon

Let’s move the spotlight on to Samsung as, it looks like the company wants to expand their wireless earbuds market. So far they have 4 models out with the Buds, Buds+, Buds Live and the new Buds Pro, which happen to be my favorite out of the bunch. Now it looks like those regular Buds are getting a refresh. The guys from Android Police just did a teardown on the Galaxy Wearable’s app APK where you can see multiple references to some “Galaxy Buds 2” which are apparently codenamed Berry. According to the report we could expect these around the end of the year with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 with some updated features like multi-point connectivity, better call quality and better water resistance. We have no leaks on design so far but, they should look pretty similar to their predecessors considering Samsung’s other buds. We’ll see what we get.

Xiaomi’s Mi MIX Fold is an inward-folding smartphone like the Galaxy Z Fold2

Moving back to official news, let’s talk about Xiaomi as after years of concepts, the company finally launched their first foldable smartphone, the Mi MIX Fold. The Mix Fold brings an inward folding design, kind of like what you get from Samsung’s Z Fold. It brings an 8-inch main display running at 60 Hz, and a 6.5-inch cover display running at 90Hz. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 with up to 16 Gigs of RAM and half a terabyte of storage, along with a 5020 mAh battery. When it comes to the cameras, Xiaomi is bringing a triple setup with a 108MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra wide and an 8MP “liquid lens” that offers 3x optical zoom and doubles as a macro lens. Now, Xiaomi is offering new features to let you take advantage of the larger canvas like a dedicated “desktop mode” that turns it into well.. A desktop instead of the regular Android UI. It is set to be available in China for around 1521 dollars but, we have no word on a global release. But yeah man that price tag doesn’t sound so bad when compared to others.

The next-gen Apple chip powering iPhone 13 enters production in May

Once again, we’ll be splitting the hottest news into 2 Apple segments because.. Sometimes they’re worth it? According to a new report from DigiTimes, Apple’s A15 chip will begin production in May which aligns with Cupertino’s usual fall timeline. Now, the A15 will still be built on the same 5nm architecture we got on the A14 and the M1 chips but, we should still see improvements when it comes to performance and efficiency through the silicon’s design. However, the report mentions that Cupertino has already ordered TSMC’s 4 nanometer chips which will begin production in late 2021. The report speculates that these will be first used in a new generation of Mac chips that we could expect in Spring 2022. So yeah, we could reportedly expect new Macs with 4nm chips next Spring, though let’s hope that Spring event does happen.

Story of the day:

Mark your calendars! Apple WWDC 2021 starts June 7 as an online-only event

And Finally for the hottest news today, part 2, and speaking of Spring, for the hottest news today let’s talk Apple and Events but.. It’s not what we were expecting. Now that the March event didn’t happen, we’ve been waiting for some sort of announcement from Cupertino and well, the company just sent out press invitations for WWDC 2021 which will be an online-only event once again, happening from June 7th to June 11th. Apple says that they will be offering “unique insight into the future of: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS.” Pretty much like last year they’re expecting around 28 million developers to join the show and that’s all great but let’s speculate for a minute. For the past couple of year’s we’ve had major announcements like the return of the Mac Pro, and the Apple Silicon transition this year. And right now, Apple has a ton of products in the pipe line like those new iPad Pros, the AirTags, new AirPods which I won’t count out even from a silent release at least by Thursday.

We started this week’s deals selection with several Android phones selling for as low as $100, but that doesn’t mean that deans can get even sweeter. Right now, you can get a new iPhone 12 with 64GB of storage space free of charge when you head over to Verizon. Now, things aren’t as easy as we’d wish, but requirements aren’t that impossible to fulfill.

First, you have to buy a new iPhone 12 with an eligible Unlimited plan on a monthly payment plan, which will have you paying $33.33 for one of your new devices, while Big Red will cover the other. And for those who switch, they will get a bonus of $250 credit. And if you currently own an iPhone 1 Pro, you may want to check out the latest deal on Twelve South’s BookBook, which is currently selling for $46.45 after a $23.54 discount.

The latest iPad Pro lineup is also on sale. You can grab a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro with 256GB of storage space and WiFi connectivity for just $999 after a $100 discount. The smaller 11-inch iPad Pro can be yours with the same 256GB of storage space and WiFi support for $849 with $50 savings.

You can also check out some deals on protection for your new iPads, as you can get the Magic Keyboard for 12.9-inch iPad Pro for $249 after seeing a $100 discount, or grab the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Air and 11-inch iPad Pro for $199 with the same $100 savings.

Other deals will get you a new Sony 65-inch X750 4K UHD LED TV for $670 and Amazon’s Fire HD 10 tablet with 32GB of storage space for $95 with $55 savings. We had already listed some Samsung deals on previous posts, but we forgot to mention the Galaxy Buds Pro, which can be yours for just $150, after an eligible trade-in.

Get an iPhone 11 Pro for free, Apple Watch Series 6 is also on sale

We start today’s deals with your chance of scoring a new Apple iPhone 11 Pro for free. Now, it isn’t as simple as we’d like, but you can head over to Verizon.com to get a new device with 64GB of storage space. You will then have to get the iPhone 11 Pro on device payment or at retail price with a new line on one of Verizon’s eligible Unlimited plans. This will get you $999.99 savings, which will then be applied as promo credit to your account over the next 24 months. And if you’re a new client that’s switching from another carrier, you can also get $250.

You can also score up to $800 off your favorite iPhone 12 model. You would only have to go over to Best Buy, where you would have to trade-in an eligible device and get your phone with qualified activation on any of America’s largest networks.

Next up, we find the Apple Watch Series 5 40mm with cellular connectivity selling for $449 with huge $300 savings over at Best Buy. This variant is the Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Milanese Loop, which will definitely be a looker. If you head over to Amazon.com, you can find the larger 44mm GPS only variant of the Apple Watch Series 5 for $349 after an $80 discount, or get the Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band for $272.

Finally, we have several iPad models on sale over at Amazon.com. Apple’s 10.2-inch iPad is currently getting a $34 discount on its Silver and Gold color variant, which leaves it up for grabs at $395 with 128GB of storage space. If you want the Space Gray model, you will have to pay $400 since it’s only getting a $29 discount. And if you want the 64GB option, you can only get it with $30 savings if you go for the Space Gray variant.

The latest iPad Air is getting a $40 and $69 discount on its 64GB and 256Gb of storage space, meaning you can get yours for $559 and $680, respectively. These are the WiFi-only variants, and the discounts are the same on every color variant. However, the best deals come with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro that’s currently $100 off on its WiFi-only variant with 256GB of storage, as it sells for $999, or double the storage space for $1,199.

Best Cheap Cases for the iPhone 12

The iPhone 12 is arguably one of the best phones Apple has made lately. Yes, the Pro models reign supreme with their camera prowess, but the vanilla variant is just about the right amount of phone for me. The retouched design with flat sides is gorgeous (plus there are plenty of colors to choose from), the flat OLED display is a neat upgrade, the camera performance has improved, 5G support sweetens the deal, and the $799 asking price is not too outrageous either. But that is still a sizeable investment for many, which means you need a protective solution. Not in the mood to drop a lot of cash on a case? Well, we got you covered. Take a look at this compilation of the best cheap iPhone 12 cases:

NOTE: Since we’re targeting cheap cases here, all the options listed below are priced at $20(± $1) or less at the time of writing this. The prices and availability are subject to change based on investor and presence/absence of deals.
Torras Crystal Clear iPhone 12 Case

    Clearly good

Among the thinnest and clearest cases of its kind out there, this one has an anti-scratch profile that is just 0.04-inch thick, has raised lips on both sides, and offers anti-yellowing properties too. And oh, you get cushioned air corners as well.
Spigen Mag Armor iPhone 12 Case

    MagSafe shield

There are not many cases out there that can offer a combination of MagSafe compatibility, ruggedness, and affordability. But the Spigen Mag Armor case does just that, and accomplishes all those duties with some gravitas.
Tendlin TPU Leather iPhone 12 Case

    Leather’s here

There is nothing that beats the luxurious looks and premium feel of leather. This Tendlin case offers that on a budget. Plus, it has a fairly thin profile, offers a good grip, and raised lips on both slides to shield the screen and cameras.
Ocase iPhone 12 leather wallet case

    Flip fiesta

Flip cases have their own loyal following, but you don’t always have to spend a fortune on them. Best specimen? The Ocase wallet case. It’s made out of PU Leather, has three card slots, magnetic closure & many colors to pick from.
SupCase Unicorn Beetle Pro Series Case

    Rugged to extreme

Looking to go all-in on the safety aspect? The SupCase Unicorn Beetle Pro series case will serve you just well. Drop-tested from a height of up to 20ft, it has a dual-layer PC back, TPU bumper, kickstand, and screen guard as well.
Spigen Tough Armor iPhone 12 Case

    Rugged on budget

If you have set your eyes on the Spigen brand and are looking for something that prioritizes ruggedness, the Tough Armos series is where you should put your money. This MIL-STD 810G certified case also has a built-in kickstand.
Incipio Duo Case for Apple iPhone 12

    Solid option

This case has been a solid companion for my sister’s iPhone 11 for a year now, and from the state of it, I can wholeheartedly recommend this case for your iPhone 12. Plus, you get to choose between some bright and understated trims.
Spigen Ultra Hybrid Mag Design Case

    Magnetic clarity

If MagSafe compatibility is at the top of your list but you’re out of options in the budget segment, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Mag Design offers just what you're seeking. And all that in a thin profile with Air Cushion technology.
SupCase Unicorn Beetle Style Series Case

    Stylish shield

For those who want the perfect amalgamation of style and substance, you can’t go wrong with the SupCase Unicorn Beetle Style Series case. It has a clear scratch-resistant back, MIL-STD 810G build, TPU bumper & raised lips.
    Cyrill Leather Brick Case

    Just get it

Coming from the house of Spigen, the Cyrill Leather Brick case for iPhone 12 offers a great mix of design and substance. It has a premium faux leather finish, hard PC back, soft TPU bumper, inner microfiber lining, and many color options.
Torras Shockproof Hard PC Soft case

    Perfect blend

This shock-proof case from TORRAS has a very clean design. And despite its appealing looks, it offers a MIL-STD-810G certified build, shock-resistant corners, anti-scratch surface finish, and an oleophobic layer on top of it as well.
Spigen Liquid Air Armor Rugged Case

    Trust this one

Spigen is among the most trusted brands out there when it comes to protective cases, and in my personal experience, the Liquid Air Armor case personifies that best - thanks to its blend of style, substance, and affordability.

And that brings an end to our list of the best cheap iPhone 12 cases. If I were to pick a couple of favorites, I would personally recommend the Spigen Mag Armor case for the iPhone 12. Right off the bat, it is one of the most affordable MagSafe-ready cases out there. And the fact that it is currently priced at $20 and comes from a brand as reputed as Spigen is just a cherry on top. Plus, it looks quite sleek, has a textured back for extra grip, reinforced corners, and a solid bumper that employs the Air Cushion tech for shock absorption.

In case you want something that strikes the perfect balance between design, ruggedness, and pricing, I would lead you in the direction of the SupCase Unicorn Beetle Style Series case. This MIL-STD 810G certified case has a scratch-resistant transparent rear panel that will let you flaunt your iPhone 12’s color. The TPU bumper provides additional protection against accidental drops, there are raised bezels on both sides, and you also get an anti-fingerprint coating. All in all, this one is a full package for its asking price.

So, now that the case situation has been sorted, how about some extra layers of protection? Well, check our list of the best iPhone 12 screen protectors and camera lens protectors as well.
