It was recently reported that TicWatch GTH will be launched globally. Now, Mobvoi is bringing the TicWatch GTH to the global markets after launching it in China this January. The company’s new budget smartwatch weighs under 60 grams and has a skin temperature sensor.
The TicWatch GTH features a 1.5-inch TFT display that has a resolution of 360 x 320. Further, the display is 2.5D curved glass. It comes with an interchangeable TPU strap. One of the USPs of the device is skin temperature monitoring. It allows users to record their surface body temperature using the built-in skin temperature sensor. As of now, this feature is limited to Fitbit’s Sense and Charge 4.
Sensors onboard include a heart-rate sensor, 3-axes accelerometer, low latency off-body sensor, skin temperature sensor, SpO2, and respiration sensor. Moreover, the budget device is rated 5ATM for water resistance up to 50 meters. It offers Bluetooth 5.0 BLE connectivity. Further, the smartwatch packs a 260mAh battery that is touted to last up to seven days on a single charge.
You get apps like TicExercise, TicHealth, TicZen, and TicBreathe. The latter can help users improve their sleep and reduce stress levels. It includes 14 sports modes like walking, indoor and outdoor walking, cycling, jump rope, rowing, swimming, freestyle workout, mountain climbing, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, and yoga.
The Mobvoi TicWatch GTH will be going on sale in the US, the UK, and Europe starting April 13. It is priced at $79.99/€79.99/£69.99 and will be available from Mobvoi.com and Amazon.
Mobvoi has added a new Wear OS smartwatch to its portfolio – the TicWatch Pro S. Actually, not much is new here, as the latest Mobvoi wearable is essentially a slightly upgraded TicWatch Pro 2020 with one key hardware upgrade – the storage. Mobvoi has doubled the onboard storage to 8GB, up from the 4 gigs of internal storage on its predecessor. It also brings a few health and fitness features that were previously limited to the pricier TicWatch Pro 3, such as VO2 Max, TicSleep 2.0 software for sleep management, TicExercise 3.0 with support for more workouts, swim-proofing, and Voice Memo to name a few.
Unfortunately, the TicWactch Pro S is reliant on the aging Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC. While the latest Snapdragon Wear 4100 doesn’t appear to be feasible at an asking price of $260, it would’ve been nice if Mobvoi went with the little less older Snpadragon Wear 3100 platform.
Talking about the hardware, you get a familiar design with a round dial and a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 pixels resolution. There is also an LCD display layered on top of it that should help save some juice and is claimed to extend the battery life up to 30 days if you’re using it in the essential mode. On the other hand, the 415mAh battery will last you anywhere between 2 and 5 days with the smart mode enabled.
Coming to the fitness part, the TicWatch Pro S offers features such as continuous heart-rate monitoring, calorie and step counter, motion tracking, 13 separate workout modes, running lap counter, ability to measure oxygen consumption (VO2 MAX), and an indicator that detects a change in heart rate. There is also the TicBreathe tool that offers breath training exercises to help you relax.
The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro S has an IP68-certified build that employs a carbon fiber case and Gorilla Glass 3 for protecting the screen. There are over 1000+ watch faces to choose from, whole the strap is made out of genuine leather with a soft silicone lining. Wear OS handles things on the software side, and there is also support for NFC-based Google Pay transactions.
In September this year, Mobvoi launched its TicWatch Pro 3 GPS. It is the first Wear OS smartwatch to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform and is priced at $300. Now, the company has extended the lineup by announcing the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 LTE. It is now available via Mobvoi.com, Amazon, and some Vodafone websites for a price tag of £329.99 / €359.99.
Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 LTE’s key connectivity features include:
Cellular Connectivity – enabled by Vodafone OneNumber, your phone number can be shared with your TicWatch Pro 3 Cellular/LTE and conduct VoLTE voice calls, send or receive SMS messages or use your favorite messaging apps
Google Assistant – Users can be more productive and get things done on the go with help from Google Assistant on your wrist
Cloud Synchronisation – sync messaging and email app alerts from your smartphone to your TicWatch Pro 3 Cellular/LTE, Bluetooth-free and also without downloading a standalone Wear OS by Google app for Gmail, WhatsApp, and SMS on Android smartphones

Mobvoi has launched a new pair of true wireless earbuds – the TicPods 2 Pro+. As the name makes it abundantly clear, the new Mobvoi offering succeeds the TicPods 2 Pro that made their debut last year, and come with a few new features and improvements. Plus, Mobvoi has also redesigned the charging case and has adorned it with a metal strip for an added dash of premium aesthetics. And surprisingly, the company is not asking for a generation-over-generation premium and has retained the $139 asking price.
Talking about the upgrades, the TicPods 2 Pro+ earbuds come with the independent connection feature that allows users to control each earbud individually via touch and tap gestures. It is facilitated by the Single Pairing technology updated from the latest Qualcomm ADK. Mobvoi says the new tool also “brings Smart Role-swap / handover to balance the battery of two earbuds, to extend battery life when using both earbuds.” Additionally, the company says it has also improved the touch and tap gestures for tasks such as controlling volume levels, handling calls and summoning the voice assistant.
Moreover, the TicPods 2 Pro+ also serves as the launch platform for what it calls Quick Command 2.0 feature. So, what do they actually help with? Well, users no longer have to use a hotword while issuing a voice command. They can simply say “play music”, “pause music”, “next song” and “previous song” for music playback controls, or “pick up” or “hang up” to accept or reject incoming calls. Lastly, Mobvoi has also introduced two new voice commands for volume controls – “volume up” and “volume down” – offering users an alternative way to control volume levels aside from using swipe gestures.
The new earbuds also come with IPX4 dust and waterproof rating and are claimed to last 4 hours of continuous music playback a single charge, while the charging case adds another 20 hours worth of battery life. The Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro+ come in Navy and Ice colors, and can now be purchased from the company’s official website and Amazon for $139.99 (£119.99 / €139.99 ) a pop.
Mobvoi has added a new member to its smartwatch portfolio – the TicWatch GTX. The new Mobvoi offering ditches Wear OS, a mainstay on its recent smartwatches, but a necessary compromise to tone down the hardware requirements and reduce the cost. The wearable is now up for pre-orders from the company’s website and will go on sale starting September 3rd from Mobvoi.com and Amazon priced at $59.99 (£54.99 / €59.99).
Talking about specs, the TicWatch GTX features a 1.28 inch TFT (240×240 pixels) display and allows users to create custom watch faces as well. The IP68-certified smartwatch is powered by the RLC8762C processor paired with a paltry 16MB of RAM. It can monitor 14 workouts such as swimming, football, outdoor cycling and rowing among others.
Other features include sleep tracking, 24×7 heart rate monitoring, call and message notifications, and tilt-to-wake to name a few. Mobvoi says the TicWatch GTX’s 200mAh battery can last up to 7 days with regular usage, while enabling the Power Saving Mode will extend the battery life up to 10 days.
Mobvoi has launched an upgraded version of its well-received TicWatch C2 smartwatch and is calling it the TicWatch C2+. The new Wear OS smartwatch bumps up the RAM to 1GB, promising a more responsive and smoother experience. Plus, the company has also added a pair of strap selections – a black silicone band and a leather strap.
As for the specs, the IP68-rated Mobvoi TicWatch C2+ offers a round 1.3-inch AMOLED display (360 x 360 pixels) and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform. It is equipped with a 400mAh battery that is claimed to provide up to 1.5 days of backup. Plus, it comes pre-installed with the in-house TicMotion and TicExercise apps for health and fitness tracking.
