The Note 20 ‘Lite’ may launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

We are less than two weeks away from the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. However, according to leaks and rumors, we may get some significant differences between the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the ‘entry-level’ variant. Some of which have even made us believe that we won’t get a new Galaxy Note 20 Lite, since the new Note 20 may be its own ‘Lite’ variant.

According to SamMobile’s Adnan Farooqui, we may not get a new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Lite. Instead, we would get a new Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and a regular Note 20 that will take the Lite’s place. The more premium version of Samsung’s new flagship would arrive with top of the line specs, a curved FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rates, 12GB RAM, an S-Pen with 9ms latency and a main camera with a 108MP f/1.8 sensor.

The ‘Lite’ Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is supposed to have a flat Super AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rates, 8GB RAM, 256GB non-expandable storage, a slower S Pen with 26ms latency and according to new rumors, a plastic back. On the bright side, the device would still get the DeX feature, 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support, the same processor, Android 10 with One UI 2.5 out of the box, and this Note 20 ‘Lite’ would also be, at least, $200 less expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The price of the regular Note 20, could be placed between the price of the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, which means it could cost somewhere between $949 and $700.

Yet another leak suggests a 108MP camera on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

It's only fair to share...Share on RedditShare on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Tumblr

This is not the first time that we see rumors suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will come with a 108MP camera. However, this time we could say that we have non-official confirmation of this rumor since a very reliable leaker has recently shared it.

Roland Quandt has recently posted on Twitter that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will feature a 108MP camera. His source claims that he’s seen hard evidence of its existence, and now we would only have to find out if this new sensor is the same ISOCELL Bright HM1 found in the main camera of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, or if this may be the ISOCELL Bright HM2.

Microsoft is already at work optimizing Android 11 for Surface Duo: Report

We had some reports claiming that the Microsoft Surface Duo was coming some time during July. Now, a new report from Windows Latest says that Microsoft is already working on Android 11 for this device. However, we still are expecting it to launch with Android 10 out of the box with Microsoft’s Launcher on top but, according to the report it should get this version of Android 11 fairly quickly, possibly in a couple of months after the release. The specs still remain the same but we’ll see if we get it next month after all.

We have a new spec leak of the Motorola Edge Lite

Another Motorola Edge variant is in works

We just learned through an FCC certification that Motorola is adding a new device to their Edge family. The certification shows a new Moto Edge Lite and now we have a list of specs from a different source. It’ll bring a 6.7in 1080p display at 90Hz and despite bringing the Edge name, it’s not a waterfall display. It brings an on-display fingerprint scanner and a dual punch hole for the selfie cameras. It’ll be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, bring 4 or 6GB of RAM, and 64 or 128GB of storage. On the camera department it’ll bring a quad camera array including a 48MP main sensor and the other ones will consist of 16MP + 8MP + 5MP. We’re still wondering what exactly makes this variant “lite” but it will be reportedly priced at €399.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G could arrive with a better processor

Samsung’s Unpacked is pretty much around the corner and, we’re expecting the new Notes, the new Fold and a 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip but, it looks like it will be more than just the addition of 5G. According to a new SamMobile report, the Z Flip 5G just went through Geekbench and it has a significant spec bump. According to the listing, it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 865 instead of the 855+. The report also mentions that the phone will most likely be more expensive than the original variant considering that it now brings 5G capabilities and a new processor.

Apple Glasses could use eye tracking to deliver video AR experiences

We have a new patent application from Apple that shows us how their AR Glasses might work and they’re actually pretty complicated. They’re described as a “head-mounted display” in the patent and they would work by using one or more gaze tracking sensors, one or more image sensors and a processing apparatus. Here’s the thing, the original script was to describe all the technical jargon of what this means, but I do value not getting you drunk before you’ve had your first drink. In a nutshell, the technology would use video to complete your “AR” experience by laying AR content over your real-world environment, kind of like the way the IKEA app works. Rumors have it that this headset might launch until 2022 and they’ll be considered an iPhone accessory as you’re getting the information from the iPhone. Guys, trust me, you don’t wanna read the patent. It’s not made for regular humans like you and me.

Story of the day:

A Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra may arrive with more power and less bezels than the Note 20+

And finally, the hottest news today have to do with the Galaxy Note you might actually want to buy this year. See, yesterday the topic was all about the Galaxy Note 20 being all stripped down, but I guess today we learn why Samsung wants to push that plus variant. We have a new tweet from Ice Universe where he mentions a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Again, not sure if the final name will be Ultra, but you get the picture. It still isn’t fully clear if the Ultra will be a completely separate variant or if he’s talking about the Note 20+ here but let’s assume this a separate variant. On the tweet he mentions this is an Evolution version of the Note 10+, it’ll bring a Snapdragon 865+, and a QHD+120Hz display with LTPO technology for better power efficiency. The tweet also mentions some new camera functions and a new S-Pen with new features. He also showed some images on the tweet but later on he clarified that the images were of a Note 10+. Some time ago we heard a rumor of the Note 20 Ultra coming after the Unpacked and bringing this Snapdragon 865+ so that could still be the case. 12GB RAM Asus ROG Phone III variant spotted on Geekbench?

We’ve been waiting for the successor to the ROG Phone from Asus for a bit as the rumors started a while ago, and well we think it just showed up. An unknown ASUS phone just popped up on Geekbench and it appears to be the ROG Phone III. It also packs 12GB of RAM, runs Android 10 and it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. We have no word from ASUS just yet but we’re expecting a July launch along with the ZenFone 7. Other than this certification, we have no details on the phone at the moment.

CES will be an in-person event next year, but with a dash of digital format too

Considering CES was one of the only major events that happened this year, we’ve been wondering what would happen to the next CES. Well, the CTA just announced that CES will be an in-person event next year but it will bring some form digital format inclusion. They are promising a physical show as well as an opportunity to enjoy it digitally but, they aren’t sure if it will 100% happen in-person in case the pandemic is still going on by 2021 so they might still have to resort to the completely digital format. However, if the event happens in person as it does regularly, they are promising regular cleaning and sanitation across the venues, wider aisles to allow for social distancing in waiting areas, limiting touch points, medical assistance on-site and more. We’ll keep you posted once we get more information.

OnePlus Z with 12GB RAM reportedly listed on Geekbench

One of the biggest controversies with the OnePlus 8 is the price. The fact that 5G made it so much more expensive. Well, Pete Lau recently announced that OnePlus is going back to affordable phones soon, and now the OnePlus Z has been spotted on Geekbench. We don’t have a lot of information except for the model number, test scores, but apparently it will bring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC at 1.80GHz. The benchmark also shows that it will most likely bring 12GBs of RAM and Android 10 out of the box. We’re expecting this phone to come out some time in July if everything goes well.

Apple’s 2021 iPad Pros might use Qualcomm’s 5G modem

And if you thought getting a 2020 iPad Pro is a good idea, I keep believing it’s not. We have some new leaks for the upcoming iPad Pros. According to a tipster on Twitter, the codenames for these iPads are J517 and J522. These are the iPads that will bring the miniLED displays and according to these leak they will also bring Apple’s upcoming A14X chip and Qualcomm’s X55 5G modem. We were expecting at least one of these for the end of this year but we know that it’s been delayed. They will most likely feature the same design as the current iPad Pros including that new LiDAR sensor.

Story of the day:

Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ might pack a 108MP camera, but zoom output reduced to 50x

It seems that we could still get a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

And finally the hottest news today have to do with all the convoluted mess that is the Galaxy Note 20 leaks. Some say one thing, others say another. We’ve been getting a lot of leaks for the Galaxy Note 20+ and especially the camera changes. Now, we have a detailed list from Ice Universe of what to expect. The main camera will be that ISOCELL 108MP HM1 sensor on the S20 Ultra, the periscope camera will now be a 13MP 3M5 sensor at F/3.4 and the ultra wide is a 12MP 2L3 sensor at F/2.55. The leak also claims that it’ll replace ToF with a laser focus sensor and the telephoto will no longer go up 100x zoom and will be capped at 50x digital, which is pretty much what you get on the P30 Pro. On a very interesting turn, a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra just went through a Bluetooth SIG certification. Now, this isn’t a new phone and it could be the Note 20+ but according to Ice Universe this variant would be powered by an unreleased Snapdragon 865+ SoC. We don’t know if they got the name wrong, or if the Note 20+ will simply be called Note 20 Ultra or if it won’t happen at all. We are still a couple of months away from the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series and maybe even the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. Rumors suggested that we were only going to get a regular Galaxy Note 20 and a Galaxy Note 20+. However, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra may also arrive.

It seems that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will arrive after all. A recent Bluetooth SIG entry for a Galaxy Note 20 variant with model number SM-N986U has appeared, and it could be the Ultra variant of the Note 20, or at least that’s what the latest leak suggests. This may also be the Galaxy Note 20+ under a different moniker. In other words, we could receive the base model and an Ultra variant, but the Ultra model would then be renamed as the Note 20+. There’s still lots of time before the official launch of these devices, so we will keep you posted in case we may find more information concerning the upcoming Note 20 series.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G announced, offers 15% faster CPU and GPU performance compared to 765G

Qualcomm just announced a successor to their premium mid-ranger SoC line with the 768G. It is based on Samsung 7nm EUV technology and it packs and Adreno 620 GPU, as well as the Snapdragon X52 modem for ‘true 5G speeds’, including mmWave and sub6GHz. It offers a 15% faster CPU and GPU performance when compared to the 765G which was released in December. You can find the full list of specifics in the description and it will reportedly be on the Redmi K30 5G which was actually waiting on this processor to launch.

These could be the color and storage options of the new Poco F2 Pro

The POCO F2 Pro is finally coming tomorrow and we have some final leaks before the release. The renders show the phone with a full display design, no punch hole or notch. The source also claims 4 different color variants: Black or Grey, Blue, Purple and White… pretty much like the K30 Pro.. It will also come in two storage options, 128GB and 256GB. The leaked price tag is still set to cost between €600 and €650 in Europe, depending on the taxes and mainly due to 5G. The report claims that some markets might not even get the 5G variants to bring the price down.

Apple AirPods Studio are the rumored upcoming over-ear headphones

Even with all of the delays Apple is still pushing to release at least some of their products this year. According to a new Bloomberg report, Apple’s over the ear headphones will be called AirPods Studio and they will feature a magnetic design which would make them customizable with interchangeable parts, like a selection of different headband styles. These are expected to come out some time later this year for a price around
$349.

We may have to wait until June for the launch of the Google Pixel 4a

As per usual, we’ve gotten a ton of rumors and leaks of the Google Pixel 4a, including retail boxes, sample images, and billboards. Google I/O was supposed to happen this week, before the pandemic. A leak suggested that the phone might be available for purchase on May 22nd, hinting to a May 15th launch date. According to a German publication and a Vodafone listing, that might not happen and we might have to wait until June 5 to be able to purchase. We know that Google’s Android 11 Event will be happening on June 3rd so Google is apparently waiting to announce it in that event.

Story of the day:

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will get better display, but no Ultra variant

We have some new leaks for the Galaxy Note 20 where the source is stating that we might not get a Note 20 Ultra this year. Aparently we’re still only getting two Galaxy Notes, or only two with a flat slab design. When it comes to the Galaxy Note 20+, the display will grow from 6.8-in to 6.87-in, with the resolution increasing to 3096 x 1444p, resulting in a 497 PPI. It will have a 19.3:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate with LTPO for variable refresh rate. The regular Note 20 will have a 6.42-in display, still at 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz mode as well. This LTPO tech offers 5-15% in power savings, when compared to a regular panel. Ice Universe also confirmed these leaks, but obviously we’ll have to get back to you on timing.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will get better display, but no Ultra variant

Ross Young, founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, just shared some valuable information on his twitter account. He gives important details about the next Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and what we can, or won’t get with this new series.

It seems that Samsung is ready to include LTPO displays to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20. This would directly improve the battery life in Samsung’s future flagship in fifteen to twenty percent. The regular Note 20 would include a 6.42-inch display with a 2345 x 1084 resolution, 404 PPI, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz variable refresh rate with LTPO. The Galaxy Note 20+ will also get improvements, as it will now include a 6.87-inch display with a 3096 x 1444 resolution, 19.3:9 aspect ratio, and it will also have a 120Hz variable refresh rate with LTPO.

Now, don’t expect to get an Ultra variant for the Galaxy Note 20. It seems that what we will get instead is the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
